The Gateway Arch - Complete Ride To The Top - St. Louis, MO

Built as a monument to the westward expansion of the United States and officially dedicated to "the American people", the Arch, commonly referred to as "The Gateway to the West", is a National Historic Landmark in Gateway Arch National Park and has become an internationally recognized symbol of St. Louis, Missouri. To reach the top, a tram system, which is a mix between an elevator, a tram and a ferris wheel, was custom-made for the unique constraints of the Gateway Arch. It is a 4 minute ride to the top and a 3 minute ride back down. From the 630-foot high Gateway Arch, a panoramic view of downtown St. Louis can be enjoyed.
