- Veronica Roth's bestselling "Divergent" series has sold more 35 million copies worldwide. All three books were turned into blockbuster movies. Roth joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss her next young adult novel, "Carve the Mark," the first book in a two-part science fiction fantasy series.
Loved the "Divergent" Series and loved "Carve the Mark"!
"Learn how to take criticism"
That is so huge. 30+ years ago I was a Literature major at university. I had many such classes where you would pour your soul into poems and stories onl6to have your classmates and professors shared them. I likened it to having them insult your children. It was difficult, but beneficial. It not only contributes to making you a better writer, but a more mature and functional adult. We have a society that does not allow mutual criticism.
carve the mark is underrated and perfect
Divergent is absolutely a fav
Юлія Олійник Veronica Roth went to my middle school.

I have VERONICA ROTH'S BOOK "CARVE THE MARK" . SHE'S THE BEST SELLING AUTHOR OF "DIVERGENT". THE NOVEL IS AN IMPRINT OF HARPER COLLINS PUBLISHERS (KATHERINE TEGEN BOOKS".
"Wow"!" Nice"!
I never read this trilogy but I believe it is great. But the movies are really bad.
She was a psychology major at Northwestern. Lionsgate was looking for the next "Twilight". Divergent flopped compared to budget. Shallow characters and poor writing=flop.
She talks very similar to Julia Stiles.
CYRA IS THE SISTER OF THE BRUTAL TYRANT WHO RULES THE SHOTET PEOPLE. AKOS IS THE SON OF A FARMER AND AN ORACLE FROM THE FROZEN NATION-PLANET OF THUVHE. READING MAKES A PERSON MORE BRILLIANT.
somos de la inglesa....................
I love Veronica as a person, her books are so bland and her characters are so two-dimensional I can barely read anything she writes
