I love this...Linda wrote it, and the words seem even truer this year. No snow where I live, but it brings back the memories of living in the AZ mountains for two years and going to the CA mountains over the Christmas holidays with my family when I was growing up.
Linda performed this song at the Ridgefield Playhouse last night. It was the first time I heard this song. I found it to be a wonderfully touching, sentimental and personal song. The lyrics are stirring. They fit together with the melody well and really make it a great song. Love the arrangement and horns, too. I highly encourage you to go see Linda and her nine piece band live -- it was truly a great performance.
Makes me think of growing up in NJ and seeing white Christmases and the snow falling at dusk. My folks are gone now, but that hush of snow falling will always remain with me.

This is my new favorite Linda Eder Christmas song. My all time favorite will be Bells of St. Paul but this one just is so pretty and true.
