12:05 I'd have to say RPM has been the most community oriented and appreciative in mining youtube space. He has always given his opinion and explains all the risks when it comes to hardware.

RPM was absolutely USED by ASIC manufacturers during the Kaspa ASIC rollout. He played right into their hands and I lost all respect for him then.
Did he get a check? Probably not… but he WAS given multiple 5 figure valued ASICs as well as their daily profits… and he just laid there and took it, convincing everyone to waste their money on rapidly devaluing ASICs with diminishing returns while his once impeccable reputation was deflowered by IceRiver as he counted his crypto.
I totally agree, the goal should always be to align with the end users best interest. This is the way.

I turned my rigs off 1 month ago. Taking a break, Never realized how much stress this was putting me till I stopped. I have a full time job and family, I thought I loved mining then I stopped and released I had grown to hate it. I'll give it a month then I bet I'll turn something on.

Content creators should know that viewers can see right through their bullshit anyway. I appreciate your honesty, transparency and knowledge of the space. I get bored with youtubers that have no technical knowledge of anything and just plug in whatever miner is available and make a video. I like building my technical knowledge of nodes, blockchain, profitability calculations, etc which is why I love your channel. SOAT is the GOAT.

As someone who WAS heavily watching content in this space I can 100% say there was some crazy stuff going on with live streams at times. Streams would suddenly get a couple hundred viewers and the streamer would even acknowledge “wow! 500 viewers! Somebody must of bought me some viewers!” I think they bought each other viewers.
If you stand up for what you believe in and you're not offending someone, you're doing it wrong.

Thanks for the video and shout out SOAT. I try my best to have a healthy balance of "Hey guys I offer a service" (Terra Hosting) and "hey guys I don't think this is a good idea". I like to be balanced with content. In regards to sponsorships, I hold that shilling coins is a no-no, to me shilling coins to buy or promote is just not the type of work I like to do. When it comes to mining, I like to show everyone what it is, and let everyone develop their own opinion, while also providing my opinion on the matter. I started a hosting company because I saw a need that people were having issues, thats why I push so much on transparency! I hear to many stories of companies taking advantage of clients and shady business practices. I said "I can do this better". Yes UA-cam is both a business for me and a personal experience that I share with my viewers, my journey and story. I hold my self to a high standard and hope the rest of the content creators do the same.

I think there is a thin line between transparency and intrusiveness. I mean, no one directs that same energy towards NIKE, despite having purchased their products for a lifetime. Sponsored ads are necessary for some to penetrate the algorithm for some.
On another note, there are some "Crypto Miner Influencers" who absolutely and intentionally shilled Garbage! Those same ones that (sneak dissed) criticized Vosk turned out to be a hundred times worse. Not only were they shilling HOT GARBAGE they pretended like they were really using the mining equipment. One of those "miner / influencers" started taking spicy about "ART DEALERS" live knowing i was in the chat. calling them criminal's etc.. .... needless to say, he got added to my shitbag hater / salesman list.
I stand with what I said on your original, lots of people who have risen during the bear market are sus. I think it may have been around the Evergreen chia miner phase (everyone with 100 shed videos not far behind) where it snowballed for me, Vosk shilled those hard…but others followed suit. Now we have every new $10k miner as the next shiny object being passed around for content to “potentially” buy from many who can’t talk a lick about the projects. I can’t either, but that’s why I’m here, and don’t have a channel. I get it, people are trying to build careers and be the next Bits Be Trippin’ or SOAT, but it should be earned with quality not quantity.
As a viewer, I could not agree with you more. If I wanted to get a ton of scummy promotions I would just uninstall my addblocker and disable my email filters. I want to know the good and the bad. If I'm able I will try and support the content creator I value in turn.
