In 3 days, I turn 50, this song makes me sad, I was too introverted as a teen to go out and...live, but at the same time, this song makes me happily nostalgic.
My daddy, God rest him, said our circumstance often saves us... do not lament it. A busted car (or staying in on party nights) may well have saved ya from accidents... jail sentences, germs, being robbed...being accused of robbery....or attacked by a bear, drowning.... who knows what all? He'd say anything to ease a heavy heart! 🖖🏾live long...and prosper❤❤❤
It’s sad because you don’t understand what an incredible gift being young is until your youth is gone and autumn is closing in. It’s 2023 and I’m 59. How did that even happen?
I hear this song and it's 1971. I'm 17 and making love in a Chevy Impala with the strong, sweet boy who has waited a whole year for me to be ready. It's summertime, and the windows are down. In our secret hiding place out in the country we hold each other tight, so much in love. This night is going to last forever. Then I open my eyes and it's 2024. I'm 70, and that strong, sweet boy, who I never married, has been dead several years. And me, I'm in love with the amazing man still asleep in the bedroom. We have kids and grandkids. It's early morning, and I'm on my phone, wanting just one more song before I have to get up and start my day. Bob Seger comes on. I listen, and remember. Outside the rain is pouring down. And autumn's closing in.
Great recollection Brenda. To a degree, Seger wrote a bit of all our stories. Whenever I hear Seger's Night Moves I can't wait for my favorite lines: "I woke last night to the sound of thunder, how far off I sat and wondered. Starting hummin' a song from 1962. Ain't it funny how the night moves, when you just don't seem to have as much to lose. Strange how the night moves, (favorite line coming) With autumn closing in. I am also 70, in the autumn of my life, and I've had a good life, and this song just brings back so many great memories. I guess that's why it's such a great song.
We started dating in 78, married in 80, he passed away October 2022, these were our songs ✌️ he's now in heaven with our daughter, miss them both so so much🫶🙏 these are sweet memories for me thou🫶✌️
2024 and I'm 77 years old. Grew up in the sixties with early rock and roll and cars that had character. My first car in 1963 was a 1950 Ford. Night moves were with the girl with whom I've been married for 58 years. What memories and what images come up when hearing Seger's "Night Moves".
I'm sorry for your loss, I hope the wonderful memories will help to keep you going forward, I'm sure you have loved ones that need you to keep on keepin on!
Been 8 years since I lost my wife to cancer. Not going to say it gets easy, but it gets easier. There is a possibility for life beyond. Try to enjoy as much as you can, brother, because she would want it that way.
I honestly thought I was the only one who came here because of Supernatural. RIP CASTIEL, DEAN AND SAMMY YALL ARE BEYOND MISSED CAN'T BELIEVE THERE WILL NOT BE A 16TH SEASON BUT WERE GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE SACRIFICES YALL MADE... SUPERNATURAL IS GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN
In the last verse he's humming a song from 1962 as he hears the thunder and autumn's closing in. Bob Seger would have been seventeen in the summer of 62. Sounds about right.

@@SusanFitzpatrick-gd1ft Pittsburgh guy here! Bob IS my background music TODAY, Then again, Pittsburgh is more "Midwest" than it's Pennsylvania location would seem. Really we are NOT AT ALL like Philly, More like Cleveland, Hell.. I just wish Pittsburgh would just be in Ohio already. I love Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. No "northeast" snobbery, just regular dudes! Rock On!, Ya know... LIKE A ROCK!
Music is the closest thing we have to a time machine. It takes you back to a simpler and happier (for most) time in our lives. Thank you Bob Seger for this masterpiece!
Very true!! I can remember riding around listening to this in my buddy’s ragged ass white Ford Escort blaring through an amp with Jensen 6x9s! Circa 1988
How this song is not more popular. It’s lyrics are the definition of every persons life under the age of 19. I can listen to this song every day and never get sick of it
When my sister and I were younger and partying we both loved Bob Seger she passed away suddenly at the young age of 49. 16 years ago and this past wednesday august 28/2024 her husband passed and so when I hear Bob Seger I cry a little bit.
For some people, music is hypnotic - every time you hear that certain song that gives you a lump in your throat or gets you pumped up or angry, that's the music cutting through all the layers and touching your soul
That's such a strange thing but understand. I've only just found this song, never heard it before but I'm old enough to know it well (40). Makes me feel nostalgia even though I've never heard it, I dint understand but...oh well.
Bob Seger is arguably one of the best songwriters of my generation. This song defined my very existence in the 70s. So much so that I almost had Night Moves pinstriped on the back of my 65 GTO.
A friend had 69 GTO he broke his leg in a fight. I was clocked at pegged by the Staties in Maryland. No ticket because I was in uniform and he was screaming from a compound yelling curses no one ever heard. Those night moves.
Bob Seger is the most under appreciated artist in the entire world. One of my granddaughters is named Paige after, what else, Turn the Page. We love Bob here in Maine.
Larry B. Sorry no, not familiar. My son has 3 daughters. He was feeling a wee bit outnumbered 😂 so he figured naming her Paige after that song would allow him to tell her when she had a small crisis to just ‘Turn the Page’ and start over. He won’t do that, those girls have him so wrapped around their hearts they will never have to worry about a thing. His name is Larry also, we’re in So. ME.
1976 I was in the Navy stationed out of Jax Florida. I was working on my Night Moves with a dark haired beauty in a club called Happy Jax Liquors. Two years later we married in 1978. Saw him in 1986 and nine months later our daughter was born. Here it is 2024, I'm 70 and still married to that dark haired beauty. Ain't it funny how the night moves? And now autumns closing in.
I was a little too tall, could've used a few pounds Tight pants points, hardly renowned She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes And points of her own, sittin' way up high Way up firm and high Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy Workin' on mysteries without any clues Workin' on our night moves Tryin' to make some front page drive-in news Workin' on our night moves In the summertime Umm, in the sweet summertime We weren't in love, oh no, far from it We weren't searchin' for some pie in the sky summit We were just young and restless and bored Livin' by the sword And we'd steal away every chance we could To the backroom, to the alley or the trusty woods I used her, she used me but neither one cared We were gettin' our share Workin' on our night moves Tryin' to lose the awkward teenage blues Workin' on our night moves Mmm, and it was summertime Mmm, sweet, summertime, summertime Oh, wonderin' Felt the lightning, yeah And I waited on the thunder Waited on the thunder I woke last night to the sound of thunder How far off I sat and wondered? Started hummin' a song from 1962 Ain't it funny how the night moves? When you just don't seem to have as much to lose Strange how the night moves With autumn closin' in Mmm, night moves, mmm (Night moves) night moves (Night moves) yeah (Night moves) I remember (Night moves) ah, I sure remember the night moves (Night moves) ain't it funny how you remember? (Night moves) funny how you remember (Night moves) I remember, I remember, I remember, I remember (Night moves) oh, oh, oh we were workin', workin' and practicin' (Night moves) workin' and practicin' (Night moves) oh, on the night moves, night moves (Night moves) oh (Night moves) I remember, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember (Night moves) ooh (Night moves) I remember, Lord I remember, Lord I remember (Night moves) ha, ha, ooh-hoo Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah Uh huh, uh huh I remember, I remember
I was 27 years-old when Bob Seger released, 'Night Moves' in 1976. It hit me like a ton of lead. Brought back so many fond memories of 'the backseat of my '60 Chevy', (actually a '56) and how quickly time goes by. Every young man who grew up in America back then could identify with that song. It's a true classic. George Bernard Shaw once wrote, “Youth is the most precious thing in life; it is too bad it has to be wasted on the young."
A few months before my father passed I watched him lay in his room and go over his past. He would stare up at the ceiling and I could see him just thinking and reminiscing. He had an amazing time as an immigrant to American in his 20s and had a bunch of pictures of those times. He gave me the same childhood and early adulthood growing up in Southern California. Now I'm watching my daughter grow up and it's the sweet summertime right now. Such a beautiful song.
A real and true Legend. And he will live on forever in the amazing music that he performed. We are so blessed to have Legends like him to provide us with such amazing music . ^m^ ^m^ ^m^
For me, it works the other way around. Lines of a song (I loved and had forgotten about) pop up in my head, and they fit, so I look them up. I personally think that is a healthier approach than just turning on a device and letting it dictate you.
Driving on a snow-packed road in the Sierra's at night in a 4X4 Tacoma packed with friends, going into town to get some dinner. This album was playing. I was 20. I am now 60. Remember it like it was yesterday.
The person I once was now gone. Memories of those days are all I have left. I delve in to those happy memories, a testament of who I use to be. The fun, the laughter, the girls. The best part of my life is behind me. Sad reality.
That was bold. I remember those days too. Now all we have to do is wait for Death. I hope you aren't where I am. For me Death can't come soon enough. 😢
@@eddellinger1780 Man we were young and she had points of her own settin' way up high. I lost her to someone else! 20 some years now and still have'nt forgotten her!
Back when things seemed simple and your mind did not count the clock. You rode the wind as if you were going to be here forever. Youth and its gifts continued to embrace you but now you sit with a reality of that those days are gone.
Bob is still kicking at 78 ! This song was a big part of my life growing up and I feel sorry for today’s young people who will never experience drive in theaters….I thought it was cute when all the kids wore their pajamas to the snack bar.
Go to a drive in movie while you still can I was reading there's only a few hundred left in the country(US) and who knows how long they'll be here for.
Me and my little girl went out to lunch earlier and I went a different way home and passed an old road that lead to where me and my high-school sweetheart used to "park" and this song popped in my head. She passed away not long after we graduated. So here we are all these years later and I still think of her. Will always love you Amy...
DUDE! I'm a hardcore "badass" A**hole, Jagoff troll. But your story made me tear up! (and Manly Tears) You are a G.O.A.T. and I hope your daughter KNOWS what a MAN you are!
Can't remember how many times this song had made me tear up. One of those songs you have to listen to with your eyes closed, makes me feel so incredible sad and happy at the same time. This has to be in the top 5 songs ever made in history
I feel your pain I lost my husband in 92 it's been like 30 years ago I had a 20-month and a four month old child and I still feel the pain there's not a day goes by that I don't think of him everytime I look at my kids I see him even my rest in peace ruegge
I was a teenager in the late 70's when this song came out. I completely get what Bob's talking about, and I remember many a make out session with many a girl in the back of my rusted out '73 Javelin. I get a little misty remembering my wayward youth. We WERE just young and restless and bored. Like they say, youth is wasted on the young. You can't get those times back. All you can do is remember.
First car was a 71 Javelin, our generation partied and pursued girls and didn't have our faces stuck in our smart phones 99% of the time. Great time in history to be alive.
Doing fine. Always enjoyed your music and the stories you tell and evoke with your lyrics. Be well and keep doing what you love because we love what you do. Rave on Bob. Keep recording and playing live when you can.
@@meerkat7406 I'm having trouble believing that that is actually Bob Seger who replied to you. He also replied to me in a comment, but this song is on the real Bob Seger's UA-cam channel, but the guy commenting, that is a different UA-cam profile using the same profile picture. It would be cool if it was him, but I dont think it is lol
High school heartache, lust, sweetness and danger in a parked car. Going to college ruined all that, the bed in your room and all. Fogging up the windows and grasping at your remaining youth, we'll never have that again. Thank you, Mr. Seger, for your musical poetry. Forever a fan.
Bob Seger touched everyone with his music. His songs are so relatable, about the experiences of life, about love, about growing up. Rock n’ Roll never forgets, Rock n’ Roll forever ❤.
For real, for all shit we Pittsburghers poke at Detroit, Cleveland and places like that, We often forget that we ARE all "Cut from the same cloth". Bob Seger's (Detroit) music is more relatable to a Pittsburgher than ANYTHING from a New York or EVEN a Philadelphia singer/band. No one here WANTS to admit it, But Pittsburgh is more "Ohio" than "Pennsylvania" And as a Jagoff born on 46th Street in the actual City of Pittsburgh, I'm Okay with that.
I discovered this song through the Supernaural series. I watched it for years with my mother. In the year 2022 my mother died. Every time I hear this song now I'm reminded of how much fun we had together watching the series. Thanks. Miss you, mom.
Ain't it funny how the night moves, when you just don't seem to have as much to loose, strange how the night moves. That touches my soul. Memories of being young. Thank you Bob for the awesome tunes
I love Bob Seger and his music. When you are young you think you got all the time in the world 🌎. Then you turn around and 21 has turned to 50. Bob,you nailed it with this song 🎵.
I heard this sing when I was 29 and still, I fully appreciated the sentiment and the lost naivete of youth. At age 76, it rings even stronger, One of Seger's greatest.
I LOVE BOB SEGER. It's hard to believe I'm 60 years old.Gosh, life still feels so good and endless. I was never a wild child but listening to this song made me feel as if I cruised and bruised with the rest of them.
It was just after the Bob Seger show in Denver in '18 that I asked my Wife Cheryl to marry me ... it was a wonderful inspiration and I used some of my 'night moves' - we just had our first anniversary!!! Thank You again Bob Seger!!!!
We have a common bond, we were in our 20's listening to Bob Seeger when he became known. There is no better music. It has been tested throughout time and as newer listeners jump on board they too are taken. Peace and love.
Some years ago I was driving home late at night and this song was playing on the radio. I was on 270 east going around Columbus Ohio and a semi was merging onto the road. The semi was purple and written across it were the words "Night Moves", what a coincidence. That was a very special moment for me.
Nice! Here's sharing another one of those ultra rare experiences in life: sitting smoking with a few friends one evening in Redondo Beach, California. Suddenly there was a knocking on the front door. As we sat up, dazed in a fog and our eyes turned toward the door, Pink Floyd's "Is there anyone out there" was playing on the radio. Another friend stopping by to hang in the gathering of youthful peers on one of those hedonistic evenings in the south land. We were in our summer years, and autumn was far beyond our horizon. We didn't see it coming.
I was on that highway 270 that same night. I was driving my semi. I was in Columbus Ohio. I think I saw you. Unfortunately, it wasn't me. Mommy had just tucked me into bed. Lol
I’m going to be 46 years old in February. When I was a little girl I would scream for BOB SEAGER! in dad’s truck. I still feel that way. Miss you dad. 3:31
I had an '80 Trans Am and it was a complete piece of shit. But sitting in it and listening to Seger looking over the city at night smoking joints and drinking Pabst blue ribbon beer was some of the most chill and wonderful hours of my life. There was no worry back then. Bob Seger was part of our soundtrack of life for some folks.
Remember playing Black Jack one night with my dad and this song came on. He gave me a little smile and told me this was his favorite song. Man... Rest in peace Dad. Love you.
Every time I hear that thunder in the middle of the night in the summer I think of this song and play it. The same went for last night on the last summer night of 2024, a big storm blew through. Just love hearing that rumbling in the distance getting closer. Song never gets old.
When you're young, you think this song is about getting it on with girls. As you get older, suddenly that last verse hits you between the eyes: It's about sitting up in bed and realizing summer has faded "...with autumn closin' in". Can't hear it without choking up now.
I woke to the silence of an empty house & I started whistlin' a tune from ''68...winter closing in fast now...I remember my summertime...sweet summertime...summertime...I remember. Thank you Bob for the memories & the music that brings them back.
Actually I loved this song when I discovered it as a teenager in Ireland in 1990. By 92 I was with my girlfriend in a deserted country lane working on our own night moves. I'm married to an American lass now and live in the US...but when I think back..oh what fun...it' all gone now...like Ireland...a youthful dream. Still..I remember, I remember.
Oh Jupiter I hope you are ok. I turn 60 this year and it was like omg whats left for me to do. But I now know I have to live and do what I want, sing want I want , listen & read what and when I want. Go where I want (obviously covid restricts some of that) Dress how I want (ageing hippy here)
You absolutely took the words from my mouth. This is my all time favorite song, and even after hearing it a million times, I laid in my bed last night and relived my youth for hours with this song playing over and over.
The first time I ever heard this song was when I was a teenager. I was in a diner with my grandparents in Tucson and I hear the sound of amazing talent and great music. I still wake up in the middle of the night and wonder, but no more thunder. If you're here to listen to this song then remember that rock and roll never forgets. Keep living, keep dreaming, and don't forget to sit and wonder sometimes because the days and the nights will happen regardless.
I grew up listening to Bob Segers music. I was 10 years old when this song was released. I didn’t fully appreciate it then. By listening to now brings back memories of my childhood. Those memories helps my appreciate this music even more. Bob Segers voice is baritone and very soulful.
you can never go back - but I started in the '50s with black blues and Jerry lee - and all the way up through Rod and the Stones and then Pearl Jam (with my son) No you can't go back - but then who thought vinyl would come back. lol.
Bob seger spoke to the 70,80 and 90s generation! He wrote songs and music for the common blue collar man and he spoke to us. To the kids in the back seat of a steamed up car trying to figure out what base to go for next. The kids work out in the heat and dust trying to get enough for that car or truck and saving for the weekend. He also told us a story about being on the road and how hard it was. The loves that was lost and found. Today music will never touch a piece of our hearts like this man did. He put out teenage and young adults years into songs. So 20 years down the road you put it on and dirft back to a simpler time and relive the best and carefree years of life. The newer generation will never have the experience of seeing alto reed swing from the rafters in cincinnati Ohio playing the sax.
except this song was written about him cheating on a married woman whos husband was away at service. he was a jody. really crazy i know, he talks about it on his behind the scenes interview. has nothing to do with highschool as many people suspected. he also dodged the draft to shag other peoples wives. oh and this song was inspired by american graffiti which he saw before writing it.
When I first discovered bob I instantly fell in love, not only with him his music as well. I identify with music and know every word to every one of his songs. He's the most wonderful man in music I've ever heard..makes me feel so good listening to him sing..My KING.❤
I had a candy apple red ‘67 Chevelle as a kid, I use to crank this song up while cruising Speedway in ‘82, I was only 16, other than the ‘50s, i believe The ‘80s may have been as good….
All time favorite song, recorded when Bob was in his prime. Amazing vocals and lyrics. The finished Night moves song was sent to Capital records, Seger was called out to CA where the Capital execs said " This is career making song" Shortly released after Live Bullet, Bob said "after the Night Moves album the Silver Bullet Band went from station wagons to jets" Glad to see so many people discovering this amazing artist.
I listened to this album as a young apprentice boilermaker- booming across the Western United States from the Puget Sound to the Rio Grande. Blasting Warren on my stereo as I rolled into the parking lots of a string of power plants and copper mines. My hardhat had a great cartoon of myself as “The Excitable Boy” on it. Goddamn, those were some great times in my life. My kids don’t believe how wild those days were.
I took my mother to her first concert ever and it was Bob Seger. I enjoyed his songs but after seeing him live he was legend. Mom had the time of her life, she was rocking.
People who know this music for the first time immediately fall in love with this perfectly composed and sung songs. Thanks Bob, you are legend, all your music will go down in history.
I been listening to this song a lot lately and I can’t help but think how he is explaining essentially the summer of his life and by the time he lays down and here’s the thunder boom autumn is creeping in. Man does it feel like that right now lol
I saw him on tour in Baltimore MD a long time ago sat in the front row and listened and watched the lights and everyone knew every word he sang. awesome.
I just had a memory from my teens, about a boy I met through my summer job. I was 17, he was 22….before you all lose your minds, this was the 70’s and everyone dated like this, we all liked the older guys because they had jobs and cars and could take us out on a proper date. He worked in construction and he was blonde and lean and tan from days spent in the sun swinging a hammer. He had an old pick up truck and he came to get me and I was wearing a summer dress….we drove down to the beach where we met some friends, then we sat and watched the sunset in the back of the truck with our friends, drinking cold beers and stealing the occasional kiss. I don’t remember his name, we only dated for that summer, but I remember him and his truck and faded Levi’s like it was yesterday….and the sweet summertime.
He's my absolute favorite. There's something about his voice. I'd listen to him read the phonebook. I had all the tapes, then the CDs. I can listen to them on repeat and not get bored. How many can say that?

How did Seger do this? So very well captured, the days of our youth. "With autumn closing in ... " Today, it's more like, "with winter closing in ... " The only feeling missing in this song is that nagging sense of being drafted, ending in Vietnam. ps, although I did get that feeling, I thought on my own. Maybe he did it afterall? Less is more.

In the last verse he's humming a song from 1962 as he hears the thunder and autumn's closing in. Bob Seger would have been seventeen in the summer of 62. Sounds about right.

You were there. I'm sure you were there on every clap of thunder
For some people, music is hypnotic - every time you hear that certain song that gives you a lump in your throat or gets you pumped up or angry, that's the music cutting through all the layers and touching your soul

Reincarnation, past life
That's such a strange thing but understand.

I agree story teller
A friend had 69 GTO he broke his leg in a fight. I was clocked at pegged by the Staties in Maryland. No ticket because I was in uniform and he was screaming from a compound yelling curses no one ever heard. Those night moves.

Bob Seger is the most under appreciated artist in the entire world. One of my granddaughters is named Paige after, what else, Turn the Page. We love Bob here in Maine.
Paige Turner was the Traffic girl on Channel 2. Do you remember that?
ME.
Thanks for the invite for me ????
Just a small town boy from a small old Scottish town. But Mr Seger opened my eyes to the world

Fire down below!
One of the best songs ever written, composed, performed and sung.
I was a little too tall, could've used a few pounds
Tight pants points, hardly renowned
She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points of her own, sittin' way up high
Way up firm and high
Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy
Workin' on mysteries without any clues
Workin' on our night moves
Tryin' to make some front page drive-in news
Workin' on our night moves
In the summertime
Umm, in the sweet summertime
We weren't in love, oh no, far from it
We weren't searchin' for some pie in the sky summit
We were just young and restless and bored
Livin' by the sword
And we'd steal away every chance we could
To the backroom, to the alley or the trusty woods
I used her, she used me but neither one cared
We were gettin' our share
Workin' on our night moves
Tryin' to lose the awkward teenage blues
Workin' on our night moves
Mmm, and it was summertime
Mmm, sweet, summertime, summertime
Oh, wonderin'
Felt the lightning, yeah
And I waited on the thunder
Waited on the thunder
I woke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered?
Started hummin' a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves?
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closin' in
Mmm, night moves, mmm
(Night moves) night moves
(Night moves) yeah
(Night moves) I remember
(Night moves) ah, I sure remember the night moves
(Night moves) ain't it funny how you remember?
(Night moves) funny how you remember
(Night moves) I remember, I remember, I remember, I remember
(Night moves) oh, oh, oh
we were workin', workin' and practicin'
(Night moves) workin' and practicin'
(Night moves) oh, on the night moves, night moves
(Night moves) oh
(Night moves) I remember, yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember
(Night moves) ooh
(Night moves) I remember, Lord I remember, Lord I remember
(Night moves) ha, ha, ooh-hoo
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Uh huh, uh huh

Agree . My Favorite Is Bob Seger!!! Music and Silver Bullet Band!!❤❤😊
I was 21 back in 1976 those memories of that yr will never leave me ❤
A few months before my father passed I watched him lay in his room and go over his past.
I am doing the same thing

For me, it works the other way around. Lines of a song (I loved and had forgotten about) pop up in my head, and they fit, so I look them up. I personally think that is a healthier approach than just turning on a device and letting it dictate you.
53 years old here in Minnesota. Thank you sir for making my life, my wife of 27 years better. This hits the heart right where it should.
By the way. I like the sound of your last name.
Life has its peaks, crescendos, and then there is the ending. Try and find the good after the peak, and make the most of it.

Yep.
High school heartache, lust, sweetness and danger in a parked car. Going to college ruined all that, the bed in your room and all. Fogging up the windows and grasping at your remaining youth, we'll never have that again. Thank you, Mr. Seger, for your musical poetry. Forever a fan.

Lol
My grandpa drove a purple semi years ago before he was killed. We were in hillsboro ohio though
WOW!
‘I used her, she used me, but neither one cared’… is the best line ever written! Period!

It goes so fast, faster than anyone thinks

Who’s still listening in 2024? My favorite singer is Bob Seger and this song is my favorite.
This song just came too mind as I was out there watching.
Been here forever
2024 baby!!❤❤
Thanks for your love and support ❤️
Great song. I've played it about 35 times since yesterday - 6/22/24
I'm 16 and wish I could just go back in time to see what it was really like in the 50s-90s. seemed like a fun time.
oh was it ever. I was born in 61 and I loved the 60's and 70's
@@SoCalAl61 Id love to be my fathers age. Born in 49. Teens & 20s in the 60s & 70s!
60s 70s 80s , were Awesome for music and yeah there were problems , but I still swap places in a heartbeat to get back to those times .
omg same
you can never go back - but I started in the '50s with black blues and Jerry lee - and all the way up through Rod and the Stones and then Pearl Jam (with my son) No you can't go back - but then who thought vinyl would come back.
You wish, you were in theback seat, but with an issue of Playboy spanking your monkey wishing you had a Girl.LOL
Fully agree!
So perfectly said!❤
Nor will they care to be honest
When I first discovered bob I instantly fell in love, not only with him his music as well. I identify with music and know every word to every one of his songs. He's the most wonderful man in music I've ever heard..makes me feel so good listening to him sing..My KING.❤
I had a candy apple red ‘67 Chevelle as a kid, I use to crank this song up while cruising Speedway in ‘82, I was only 16, other than the ‘50s, i believe The ‘80s may have been as good….
This is like an injection of good HS memories...coming of age I'll not forget and Seeger captures it perfectly.
@Bobseger-wh3oo None other than you.
@Bobseger-wh3oo So who are you pretending to be next week "bob?" Shouldn't you be busy rehearsing? Ya know, workin and practicing.
Been a fan for years.
Thanks Mr Seger you take me back to 1974-75 and this production doubles it. Thank you .. rock on... Oh, I was 14 years old .. Glenmont Md
This song always makes me cry, grown ass 37yo man, this song comes on and I'm crying like a baby for some reason.
One of the few songs that takes you back and lyrics touch your soul
We’ll have our worse day and song like this is just what’s makes life more easier !!!

I took my mother to her first concert ever and it was Bob Seger. I enjoyed his songs but after seeing him live he was legend. Mom had the time of her life, she was rocking.
Aww 😊 !! That’s fantastic you did great taking your Mom !! Bonus now you know what a fantastic music artist he is!!
Man does it feel like that right now lol
strange how the night moves with autumn closing in
I saw him on tour in Baltimore MD a long time ago sat in the front row and listened and watched the lights and everyone knew every word he sang.
I don’t remember his name, we only dated for that summer, but I remember him and his truck and faded Levi’s like it was yesterday….and the sweet summertime.
awsome. But I bet you remember his name. Nice pure American story
Wonder where that fella is now
Life was so simple back then. It was a great time
Thanks for your love and support ❤️
Oh my god that's such a bitter sweet story
He's my absolute favorite. There's something about his voice. I'd listen to him read the phonebook. I had all the tapes, then the CDs. I can listen to them on repeat and not get bored. How many can say that?
I Agree,l listen to his Greatest Hits over and over and Never get tired of hearing to them.

Hello, thanks for your positive compliment about my songs, It’s nice seeing all this beautiful comments. How are you doing?
One of the best lyricist and composer around. America's best!!!
Hello, thanks for your positive compliment about my songs, It’s nice seeing all this beautiful comments. How are you doing?
Doing about the same..still against the wind.
@@wynnyoder5605 I hope you’re getting through it very well. I would like to know where you’re chatting from! Have you ever been to any of my concerts?

Did anyone else know Bob Seger died in 12-23? Tears falling...yet thankfully we have his music ❤.
