I am not a coder, but my boss wanted me to embed a video on a product page and I was literally stumped and shopify wanted me to hire someone and just couldn't afford what people wanted us to pay. We're a super small biz and just needed to watch your videos. Lifesaver
Andrew, I am in the process of setting up my Shopify store and I found this episode to be incredibly informative and easy to follow. Thank you so much. Cheers
Do you know how to add your newest youtube video automatically to your shopify website? E.g it says check out the lates youtube video and then it has the video in the website, and every time you upload a new video it will change to the newest video on the website
What if on mobile there are black bars on the side on the video and it doesn't take up the full width of the page ? Mine looks like the video height is low on mobile
if you use it the way I explained in this video - yes it would. Because when the page load you would be asking your browser to go and get the video from youtube - load it completely and only then consider the page to be fully loaded. A workaround is to add a picture and once you click on the picture it loads the UA-cam video...but that's a bit outside of the scope of a tutorial on YT
ah! well, the following steps should help you on this: 1) Go into your Shopify code and locate the code of the embedded youtube video you added 2) Locate the src="youtubeurlhere" 3) At the end of the youtubeurlhere add the following: ?autoplay=0&rel=0 The URL should then look like srce="youtubeurlhere?autoplay=0&rel=0" 4) Click Save Hope this helps!
@@EcomExperts , Thank you, Andrew . But it seems no working. I modify the code as "“. I input "autoplay=0&rel=0", after saving, the code is changed automatically as autoplay="0&rel=0" , but the video embedded is still followed by other videos. Is it wrong for the the code I modified?
I just checked and it is working. But steps are a little bit different if you want to add a single video to all products. In the Step 3.1: add the video to all Products Instead of pasting code to the product-template.liquid in Sections directory, paste the code to the product-template.liquid in the Snippets directory. In case you want to add different videos to different products, steps are the same. Tell me how it went! Cheers!
Well I created a tool - it's free- www.testmystorespeed.com in there there is some shopify specific actionable advice. Otherwise I created a playlist called - Speed lab here, hopefully that give you some advice as well: ua-cam.com/play/PLZca3IxyDEBSueyn2orOSDrWe5qBxh9V2.html BUT it's possible it's still not clear so let me know what is missing and I'll gladly make more videos on the subject to get you at 62/100 minimum

What a thoughtful comment. I really appreciate this!
Thx man. Really helpful. I am wondering now how to integrate a picture click on instead of the video. Do you also have a tutorial for that?
Andrew great video. Can you make a video to track in GA4 the video you embeded?

Would this slow down the website if we embed videos for each of our products?

@@EcomExperts How do you do the work around?
Anyway to embed portrait youtube videos?
Yes there is, try to play with embed code, specifically this line *width="560" height="315"* and make it as you want. :)
Hi , Andrew . I embed a UA-cam video into my product page, but at the end of video , it will auto play others video , how to get rid of it ?

In addition, my theme is also Debutify 2.0.2, I put the video in specified product page , click "” , and paste the code here.
Hello can I add videos on 2.0.2 Debutify?
For free plan ?

How can I track how many times the video has been played on the shopify page?
UA-cam analytics :)
Quit rambling on
Your audio is very bad
I hope you realize he's not a big channel that can afford high end mics. Btw the audio is fine for me, maybe your speakers suck
