I don’t think this video explained enough, but it fires a shell with a ring of rocket nuzzles around the waist that corrects the trajectory mid flight. A folding fin version is being worked on atm. I am not sure how the shell is guided. On the documentary, the guided shell landed 75 cm from the target.
bro, ever heard about guided mortar munition? ever heard about beidou satellite system which is more accurate than GPS? why are people always so fucking dump they like to shout with their big mouth and empty brains, telling everyone they are fucking clueless idoits. you should go to ukraine, they need heads.
And Dragon Fire was the French 2R2M with a “Made in America” sticker on it. The world doesn’t begin and end with America. Dragon Fire was not the first example of this type of mortar.
@@kevchink First mistake, never said it was solely and completely created by US. Second, The French 2R2M is the mortar itself mounted on a rotary system in a vehicle. The Dragon Fire system literally is the automated (or semi-automatic) loading of munition, remote computer fire control and targeting system on it, and has own power transmission, and is placed in a pallet gun carriage system that can be easily placed in a vehicle, towed and/or dropped anywhere, not just tied inside a vehicle and manually loaded. So, in fact Dragonfire was the first type of "this" mortar that was researched developed, and engineered by America.
@A Perpetual Guardsman with a flashlight Dragon fire mortar system, its french and it came out like 13 years ago.......since then it has been picked up by different countries, and now copied by china.
The couple of hits they showed were SO spot on, I doubt their legitimacy….

At 1/5 the cost, good luck in a war of attrition. They are your enemies are they not, they aren’t respecting any of your pattens for a good reason.
