I have had a FT950 in use for over 10 years. In my opinion it is better than the FT2000 which I also own. The FT950 is very easy to use with excellent stability and superb audio output. I am lucky enough to have owned many icom, yaesu and kenwood radios. The FT950 is still my favourite. I have been a radio amateur for over 60 years...... If you get the chance to buy a FT950 do not hesitate.....
I bought my FT-950 about 15 years ago, from HRO Atlanta, after doing as much research as I could. It was Love At First Sight. I've been moving around for the last several years and am looking forward to getting it back on the air. I'm retired now and get to settle in and set back up. Thanks for this Video! 73 mike N4ONL
These are vary nice radios I own one and use it as my main rig they have a ton of features and the menu system is laid out where anyone can get right into setting it up.
I use one of these as my main station, I love it. I’ve got to try and start learning more about the menus though. I can run LOTW no problem but can’t get the panadapter to run the same time. Do wish it had a monitor out on it though as it would be nice to have all the settings up on a big screen alongside LOTW logbook but hey ho, I suppose you can’t have everything unless you want to go and buy a new radio. Maybe I can find a way of installing a monitor out and even a USB port to the radio. I’ve heard there are a lot of mods you can do to this particular radio.
