The "Children" is one of the only ads that legit shocked me the first time I saw it: absolutely visceral.
The man himself saw one of my videos? Also, yeah, definitely shocking.

Gotta give you props, Antonio. I don't know how you watch some of these PSAs without going completely out of your mind. But I love your videos not only because of my morbid fascination with these kind of things, but because of your lovable personality and character. Keep up the good work!

54:35 was at least effective. Most circuses have abandoned using live animals or were basically forced to shut down because nobody wanted to see circus shows with live performing animals.
Having animal abuse as an "act" would put me off going, not encourage me
The Peace on Earth one reminds me of that scene in Nightmare Before Christmas where the army shoots down Jack Skellington who just wanted to be Santa, lol

As weird as it sounds, my high school’s anthem was a rewritten version of the German national anthem, lol. The shock monkey one reminded me of the Jamster ads I would see constantly as a kid. 4 and 2 are absolutely vile, while number one is something I’m surprised was able to be made and shown
Guten tag! I'm late to this, but I'm here! This is sure to be full of absolute horror. If this has what I think will be number 1 on it, I'm gonna continue refusing to watch it for my sanity...

29. As I've said several times before, really narmy but the soundtrack slaps.
28. This is the one, single SWR PSA that, instead of hating, I actually really like. The dogs are adorable, the music is beautiful, and it gives the message of "Don't leave your kids unsupervised with the tv" in a really calm and gentle way instead of, yknow, whatever the hell "DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF VIDEOGAMES" was. Genuinely lovely. It's a shame this is the one PSA by them like this and that the others are more like... that. Edit: I swear I paused to write all this before you started talking lol, we have a literally identical opinion on this.

19. This PSA is just a bunch of 80s awesomeness, and maybe one of the only good uses of video games as an allegory in a PSA. One of the best uses of "Born To Be Wild" I've ever seen, too.

16. It's all in the little details here, especially the terror in the boy's eyes and the "whites sold out" statement.
15. And we start with the "I wish they kept to the dogs!" category of SWR! This is some horror movie shit. It's a shame that the tag line claiming TV causes violence is stupid as hell.
14. Last video was the first time I ever saw it. I am still royally freaked the fuck out by everything about this, from the depressing subject matter to the darkness to the audio to the fucking tagline.
13. The way this was almost an incredible-if-terrifying anti-street fighting PSA with great cinematography only for it to be the same goddamn "TV makes you violent" message. Tbh, dogs aside, my most hated PSA company that isn't Autism Speaks or Peta. I said it.
12. Heartwrenching twist, but incredibly well made.
11. Maybe one of my scariest PSAs. It doesn't need to actively go as shocking as others do, because the world is this fucked up. So many God awful situations to be paranoid about. The last reveal especially makes me want to barf.
10. Dear God, I've never seen this! I actually crossed my legs. Yeesh.
9. Yet another spot from those assholes that is a great horror film, but for, once again, the incredibly stupid purpose of "TV bad".
8. Oh God, the guys at number 10 have another?! This is disgusting.
7. A classic. Never has the fisheye lens been so creepy. Yet again for this organization, though, it isn't too good as a PSA, at least in effectiveness. "We want less violence on TV, so let's show the motherload of violence!"
6. Ah, another obscure thing I've never seen you dug up. Just relentless.
5. This never fails to make me feel deeply uncomfortable, as if that THING is slithering up my leg... the coffin shot is especially sickening...
4. Saw this in my early PSA days at way too young an age... yuck...
3. An absolute horror. I was waiting for it on the top 75, so thanks for explaining why you didn't put it there. There's a lot of awful mistreatment of animals out there, but dancing bears (which are fortunately only becoming rarer, most deserved dying traditional art ever) especially horrify me. The thought of getting a hole drilled through your nose for a rope as some sick fucks pull on the rope to make you dance...
2. OH GOD I THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA BE NUMBER 1. SKIPPING PER USUAL. DON'T WANT ANY OF THIS IN MY BRAIN. WHAT THE FUCK IS SCARIER?!
1. Ah, so my reaction this week and last week to "WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE NUMBER 1" is the same. As stated, I innocently clicked on the Re-Ads notif only to get immediately and unexpectedly hit with maybe one of the top 5 scariest PSAs I have ever seen in my life. I didn't know it was German. There's a reason why the TV Tropes Nightmare Fuel entry I wrote just seconds after viewing labels it as NSFL without hesitation.
...yeesh, Germany. Yeesh.
There are a famouse series of PSA's in Germany, which adress that many people still can't properly read and/or write.
There is also a famouse parody of one such PSA that replaces the inability of not knowing how to read to the inability of not unterstanding the Turkish language.
35:30 I audibly gasped at the reveal. PSAs don't usually make me have a reaction, even if they make me sad, (except work safety PSAs for some reason idk those ones really fuck with my head), but something about this one was just...i dunno.
Love how number 15 is like: OH THE HORROR, THIS GIRL HAS A NIGHTMARE, THIS IS CLEARLY THE WORST THING EVER!!!
Blue Eyes is so terrifying, especially with the distorted music in the background, and the terrifying reveal of the poor girl's dead, beaten body. It's horrendous, and that'll stick to my head forever.
I got attacked by a male swan once, I do not blame him, I was near his nesting site.
So...... One day i watched Happy bear on loop for 5 hours anndddd.... I couldn´t sleep that night

If ydk what I'm talking about, there's one mom TikToker who puts her toddler in TikTok, and somehow comments turned off, saves, and... well.. searches about it, the girls' name was Wren Eleanor, poor girl.... the mom made a half 4ss "apology" and saying that the mom did it for money when she just made child "corn" on TikTok
Bc my little cousin had social media made me want to protect her like a good older cousin bc she's younger than me and I want to protect her from bullies and PDFs....
It gave me anxiety tbh

Fun Fact: The computer program used in this PSA to morph the girl's face on the computer is Kai's Power Goo, a photo morphing tool made by Kai Krause. Kind of appropriate for a German made computer program to be used in a German PSA

Might I suggestion for PSA countdowns or list would be Medical PSAs, I've never actually seen any other PSA channel cover this topic though I can understand why, since medical stuff can be pretty creepy but some of them are genuinely very.....disturbing with a sad undertone about them. The sharenting reminded me of that person named K (cannot tell the full name) got traumatized about someone placing her face to any corn photos (yes it counts as cp, I felt bad) and it made her quit
And it remind me of.... when everytime I go to shorts, well, there's a hate on lgbtq as a lesbian, but I'm a numb girl, it affects the people (and it was cyberbullying towards lgbtq)
Besides that, yea it reminded me of those kits animators who make k*ll*ng videos out of each other (yes it is indeed cyberbullying) made by kids
And I wish AI don't exist, yes some of the artists worked hard on the art and the ai stuff somehow stolen(???), I experience it before, and then I realize that it was stealing, so I back away from them

I've never seen number 6 before but my god. I needed to pause for a moment just to take a breath
jesus fucking christ, that "birds and bees" one got to me. the way it starts out so innocent then shifts into the singer sounding more uncomfortable to represent underage SA is just so upsetting to me. that poor child. same with "ringtone", since i genuinely can't stand the sound of distressed animals, especially the cat, since i absolutely love cats.

In my experience in the PSA scene, Germany is the closest I've ever seen to a mixed bag when it comes to PSAs. Either you will see something hilariously stupid or absolutely traumatizing.
