My friend was on the Summit. He didn't get sick but his wife was laid up for the entire week. He works for Amazon and is very diligent about hand-washing. As a furious hand-scrubber myself, I couldn't help but laugh a little when he said "the lines for the buffet were short, I had a great time!"
Thanks, J, for the information. I tell you I travel quite a bit and believe me. I have been in the wash room, and many, many times, people walk RIGHT out the DAME bathroom W/O washing they hands. you know who you are. I find this so disgusting and nasty. WHY!
Went to Disney for the first time this past year and the day after we got so sick we couldnt stand up out of bed. I threw up for 2 days with severe chest pain. (3 adults and 2 kids all puking their brains out). I tried to let Disney know and they wouldn't let me talk about it on their social media at all, deleting any comments about it.
Happened to wife and I in 2021, both got covid positive after our Disney trip and we only went to one park at off peak season.. Never been that sick in my entire life.
The most contributing factor is the buffets. People are so nasty, refusing to wash their hands or even use at a minimum hand gel. I seen a few cases where cruisers have sneezed and cough in their hands and then pick up the serving spoon to scoop up their food. YIKES 😮😮😮
I was at starbucks waiting on my order and the girl up front was busy with her headset on so i had to wait which is understandable. What is NOT understandable is seeing her cough in her hand TWICE. when she asked about my order , I asked her to have a different team member handle my food (I told her i saw her cough in her hand and lied and said i had autoimmune issues so she wouldnt feel too bad). Do you know this girl STILL did not get any hand sanitizer and didnt try to find a sink to wash her hands? People just dont care, you would think something wouldve changed after covid but nope.
@@CharleneCTX yeah but at the time i just wanted her to do something that showed that she cares about other ppl and not just herself. So even hand sanitizer would’ve made me feel better at the moment but i understand what your saying
Carnival Mardi Gras may 19-25 had a “stomach bug” outbreak too… One from our group and I met SEVERAL groups during disembarking that dealt with the bug for 4-5 days of the 7 day trip… YA GOTTA WASH YA HANDS YA’LL!!! Like one Mom told me “Being sick with a sick kid while trying to keep everyone else in the family from getting sick is Hell. I did it on a ship in a room with only a window.” My new Hero. I didn’t catch her name, but Momma -YOU are amazing and I REALLY hope you get a redo of your vacation VERY soon.❤
I hope this wasn't ANOTHER gambling situation. So sad. This is NOT the way I would self-unalive, never. So many strangers affected. Poor dude. I am so sorry to his loved ones.
I generally love your channel, but the thumbnail for this video is deceptive and clickbait-y as you’re conflating two different stories. “1 dead outbreak…very suspicious” is not a good description. Frankly, it’s beneath you. Your content is good enough. You don’t need to resort to gimmicks.
I've seen people grab the utensils, load their plates then start eating with their hands without washing | sanitizing or immediately touching their faces. People need to remember that there will always be someone who is sick that doesn't look like it or there will be nasty people who think putting soap on their hands only should happen when they bathe. Always double and sometimes triple wash | sanitize.
There is a gastro virus going around too, my sons family just had it, DIL got tested at her docs office because she was throwing up, it hit her while at her appt, she's 8 mths pregnant, was not noro, but vomiting/diarrhea/temp are involved. Noro is only killed by bleach, hand washing doesn't help much if just one person catches it, quarantine yourself if you feel ill, masks will not help.
People are nasty and don't wash. I have seen more and more walk into the buffets and out of washrooms without washing their hands. I wont eat at the buffet at all as long as guests serve themselves. I feel that the buffet should be crew served and when they were during the restart after covid there was less sickness on the ships. On my last cruise many people complained of getting sick during or just after the cruise and most ate in the buffet but my wife and I that didnt did not get sick.
norovirus is soooo contagious. It doesn't take much exposure which makes cruieships perfect for finding hosts. It's hilaorus tha you. call it GI. That just stands for "gastrointestinal" making it the vaguest nickname I've ever heard of.
No. They’re mid-point access lines. Even if they were, those having more zeroes in their bank accounts are not immune to ignorant behavior. Some people have filthy hygiene practices no matter their socio-economic backgrounds. ALL ships need to adopt the Royal Caribbean method of mandatory washing of hands BEFORE any buffet self-plating where multiple patrons are using the utensils. It only takes one to take down many via an outbreak. They position a worker at the door of the buffet area with a soap & water wash station. ALL must washy-washy or no yummy-yummy. It’s not full proof, but it will certainly help.
Condolences to the man's family. What was the SHOCKING FOOTAGE? The helicopter lifting a unrecognizable black object? Seems click bait titles hard at work again
Hello sir I like your channel and I've been a subscriber for a while now. I hope to take a cruise one day that's fun and safe with my family. I saw a the other day another video tik tok presenter, she works on a cruise ship. She said that the cruise ship will have these random ice cream parties. She says on an average there's four deaths per week on cruise ships,, but if it reaches 7 to 10 death on the cruise ship, they have to clear the freezer out to put the bodies in and take out the ice cream, so that's why they have ice cream parties. Is there some truth to this, have you been to an ice cream party I was just wondering? I can believe there would be 4 to 7 deaths on a cruise ship, especially with all the shenanigans that people do.
Not enough cameras? How did the cameras not pick up the man overboard? There should be a device that recognizes someone overboard and alert the crew. Of course, it would have to be adjusted for weight and size so as not to give off any false alarms. Any takers for the construction of this device?
I’m 59 years old , just returned from a carnival cruise on this past Thursday and all is well. Go, and enjoy yourself. Cruise ships are not to be blamed for people going overboard.
It cracks me up watching the CDC (which is NOT part of the US government) wears a Hazmat suit for a virus that causes an upset stomach - I swear they are trying to scare us. Reminds me of the whole pandemic - watching doctors and nurses in Hazmat suits then dancing for the cameras.
Thanks for your video. It was very informative and my condolences to the family of that gentleman who passed away and I guess people forget since Covid you have to wash she washy or carry a little sanitizer with you if you come out of the bathroom, sanitize your hands and you also can bring those wipes and wipe down your room doesn’t hurt. ⚓️🦩🛳️❤️

No cruise ship has ever had that many deaths at one time. Yes, a death is not uncommon but only one. Not multiple deaths on one ship.
