I appreciate that they went with the Simlish approach with the enemy voice lines. We're going to be hearing these guys constantly and having a coherent bark you hear constantly runs the risk of getting old and annoying easily. Plus it helps create a feeling of inhumanity for them.
Definitely. Plus all this garbled codes and callsigns, and the way they echo, makes the soldiers sound almost ghostly. Which is fitting for the game's tone.
Besides that the "Simlish" can be explained by us hearing encoded sht, not exactly what is being said- stuff pushed through the encryption cypher in the headset, only understandable for the other OPs with the corect code.
It also makes it difficult to discern whether or not they even see you, or what they're even looking at in general. Every time I hear that radio chatter it makes me stand up straight.
@@gazuhiramillerIt’s true, at least some of them are sourced from Vietnam recordings. There’s a video of some Vietnam war US radio comm recordings that someone uploaded years ago, it has some of these lines present in it.
Despite how garbled it is, you can still tell they're saying something coherent. I was able to pick out words like "delta..." "Be advised..." "0-0-5..." You can even make out a southern drawl. These boys sound Texan.
I like how I actually feel bad for the enemies in this game, cuz theyre all humans just like you and I, thrust into a deadly hellscape and trying to survive.
Reminds me of gta. If you put the original cds into a player it would play the police chatter from the radios and they used that for almost every movie that needed such sound effects for the next 20 years.
nah, every english listening exams gonna like this.

As non-English speaker. I can confirm
No joke, anyone who has to operate Radios has to deal with these levels of clarity, and and over time understand it like regular speech.

Dude, it blows my mind how much it sounds like Combine Soldiers at the start. They sound so real/professional. Awesome find!
apparently these are actually real radio chatter sourced from wars like the vietnam war

Well, someone already marked the Eurasian Cyborgs as Combine, so European Soldiers are the HECU
@@masterzoroark6664I mean look at that gear, THEIR. ASS. IS. HEAVY.
these are sick, thanks for these man! I'd love to see Eurasian cyborgs and Euruaskan trooper voice lines as well
He has the Cyborg Videos in the previously uploaded Homie
Been waiting for someone to compile these, I’ve always loved video game soldier chatter
These sound like genuine bodycam recordings, and honestly, im pretty confident that they actually are.
It makes me feel hopeless
Isn't it great?
@@epicactual5209 is cool
This conversation is pretty much just Forever Winter summed up in three sentences
Most if not all of the voice lines are from real life radio chatter from like Vietnam or GWOT
I think you can hear a helicopter blade in the background sometimes

I recognize a few of these...
These are placeholders, I think...
Is there anyway you could put all their voicelines into a zip and upload them somewhere?
is it just me but why does the first voice line sounds like if the soldier was rapping
Game is dead already.
Why? Or how?
Everything dies eventually.
