What I love about this song is that it actually sounds cold. Even If it weren't for the title and music video, you'd still be able to identify it as a song about an ice queen and her frozen kingdom. The heavy bass resonates the desolate and empty feel of the frosty ice land and the delicate sounding chimes that repeat throughout conjures up images of rock solid icicles. Even the way Azealia delivers her bars sounds straight up frosty. All in all, iconic.

No, I'm serious. The makeup job looks flat and amateur. I would have kept her original skin tone, the white just looks flat, especially with no contouring. Using the same shade of blue everywhere was a poor choice. And those garage door lids are a sin. It could have looked really beautiful. Maybe a frosty silver lid and dark plum lips. With a dewy skin, some shimmery pearlescent highlight swept across the cheekbones for an icy effect. I'm just SAYING, it could have looked really beautiful but instead it looks cheap. Honey.

People don't even understand how fucking BRILLIANT this song and video are!! AB spitting hard over that cold vibraphone riff. Then the refrain flips into this hot and heavy, pulsing house beat. Love is creeping into the ice princess' heart because for her second verse, you can hear a lil house beat in the background continuing. But the 2nd verse is extra long, trying real hard to convince herself that love ain't worth it and fight it off. The verses and refrain are arguing with each other musically, and the video illustrates the story perfectly. Like Yeezy, who? AB is this generation's greatest artist! 😩😩😩

I believe people grow, but as public figures, that change has to come with reparations (you can't fix the past and previous damage yet you can control the present and future. Corrective/assertive actions). Having said that, what you're calling for is for trashy people not being called-out or be accountable for the trashy things they do just because they're skilled. So what? A lot of people are skilled. That doesn't mean they get a free pass on profit and praise because that means we are enabling them and giving them "resources". So no. We should not separate the art from the personal. Because one thing can't exist without the other. Cancel culture it's just a new term for consequences. I believe we as a society are close to calibrating the " standards" so the consequences are more rational allowing growth and learning.
