I hope they do EC qualifiers, it's a good way of getting some of these feuds fleshed out without cramming the entire main event scene into the chamber. Drew vs Seth, Randy vs Kevin, Jacob vs Solo, matches that are big but that aren't likely to be Mania matches and realistically have no place on places like the Rumble or EC cards
Cena winning a championship in the first half of the year would be foolish. The “Can he get number 17?” story shouldn’t end four months into the year, it means the next eight would feel a little aimless.
No it shouldn't but he should still be in the title scene. I'm not even big on a Cody/Cena feud but it just makes too much sense not to happen at Mania. I think Cody should win at Mania. Keep the Cena chase alive until SummerSlam. It's the first 2 night SummerSlam so you'll need something big. Cena winning there makes sense. It's well into the year so you're not ending the chase early and it still gives you enough time to have a decently long Cena reign.
I would absolutely be okay with this since it is the one of those accolades that Cena hasn’t earned yet. However, it would be a great opportunity for him to put someone else over in the finals and make it clear that they are a main eventer now.
Only thing missing? The Rock. His feeling on any given morning will shape a lot. Ultimately, I think Wrestlemania will be Cena vs Cody Rock vs Roman Punk vs Gunther Seth vs Drew Seems predictable and maybe a bit dull, but perhaps the simplest.
I'd love to see Cena get closer to that title match all year before winning his 17 towards the end of the year and having enough time to drop it to someone

@ChrisLamia I completely disagree. Summerslam 07, Bragging Rights 09, Breaking Point 09. Don't get me wrong most of their matches were meh but the story and characterwork between them made them career long rivals and each other's biggest rivals and that's saying a lot. Plus I do think that them nowadays would put on a banger and probably their best match agaisnt each other. Randy in ring wise is as good as he's ever been and Cena after a year of being a full time guy again and having a bunch of matches leading up to it. I just think it would be best. Now if they didn't tell us he was retiring in December and it wasn't known when he would genuinely stop, if all we knew was this was his last run. Towards the end of the year let's say he did get the IC or 17th and he says he will retire when get loses the title. Then you have a young guy be the one to retire him like Bron Breaker for an example. But with it already being k own, I think that's the best case

Punk than cashes in his favour to make the Main Event a Triple Threat with Cody, Roman and Punk. Punk wins the belt at mania by pinning Cody, starting Cody's heel turn. KO or Randy could interfere to make that happen or even Drew just to stop Roman. Gunther beats Cena at mania.
Cody faces Randy at Elimination chamber too.
I don't know why but I don't think Cena or Punk will be involved in either of the title matches at Mania. I think Balor wins Rumble and Owens wins the chamber. Not sure why but that's what I'm thinking. Maybe it's just what I want haha.
I'm also thinking Becky Lynch to win women's Rumble and Charlotte to win chamber.

@ChrisLamia I completely disagree. Summerslam 07, Bragging Rights 09, Breaking Point 09. Don't get me wrong most of their matches were meh but the story and characterwork between them made them career long rivals and each other's biggest rivals and that's saying a lot. Plus I do think that them nowadays would put on a banger and probably their best match agaisnt each other. Randy in ring wise is as good as he's ever been and Cena after a year of being a full time guy again and having a bunch of matches leading up to it. I just think it would be best. Now if they didn't tell us he was retiring in December and it wasn't known when he would genuinely stop, if all we knew was this was his last run. Towards the end of the year let's say he did get the IC or 17th and he says he will retire when get loses the title. Then you have a young guy be the one to retire him like Bron Breaker for an example. But with it already being k own, I think that's the best case
