I saw 2 goats that have problems with the greener side of the fence! Lol. I see the PVC and duct tape are holding up!! Lol. Miley and Mo are absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Loved Miley's playful side!! Interesting new tagging system. Looking forward to seeing the new system in action. You certainly have some beautiful goats!! Thank you for putting out the videos.
Mel Wallace thank you for watching

@@BoisDArcKikos i want ta ask ya whats the diffrent between the new zealand, kikos, and spanish goats,, i used ta raise the little male dairy kids i got at sale barn,,again thank ya fer the videos
russ sherwood spanish & kikos are a lot alike spanish are a little smaller. Kikos are registered spanish are just now be able to get registered
New Zealand are the original imported genetics to the US in the 90’s
I plan on doing a video about New Zealand & purebreds & commercial in the future
@@BoisDArcKikos thank ya i guess i need ta look in ta these goats more befor i jump in ,, thank ya for the videos
Was that rice straw you put in the feeder? They seemed about as excited for it as mine get when they have access to a bale of that stuff.
Yeshe Rabsal it’s hay grazer they really like it. The grazing is just about gone around here it’s gone dormant
I heard a Jeff Foxworthy word during this video. Busted a gut laughing.
ataway
Greg Sullivan lol must be the Texan in me.
We use it as well here in Bama
I live in TN and found out that the state will give me the 840 tags free but I have to purchase the applicator. I wonder if TX has as similar program.
It did. I got some free tags a long time ago but they quit doing it. I still have a couple of them left.
Thanks for watching
How's my goat. I sure like that new little Male you picked up at the sale. What's he weight now?
Hes doing good. We are getting weights today on them. I will catch it on video. Thanks for watching
I see your round baker feeder in the background.
How is that working out?
Mark Switzer they have been picking at it. I got a new video coming out about that this weekend!!
Thank you for the helpful video. Is it ok to only use a round microchip tag in each doe and buck? Or do you have to use both tags?
Your welcome. You can use the round microchip ear tag as one. Then use your scrapie or identification tag in the other ear
@@BoisDArcKikos do I have to use scrapie or ID tags too along with the round microchip tag? Or can I purely just use the round microchip tag by itself? Or is it optional?
You can use the round microchip by itself. If you sale off the farm you have to use a scrapie tag too
@@BoisDArcKikos okay thanks for the info!
I didn't see a link for the scrapie tags. Where did you get those from? So you have to have a scrapie number, a farm id number, and a registration number?
coolguy24eric www.allflexusa.com/our-products/sheep-and-goat/product/eid-only-2
Is everything okay, haven’t seen any blogs from you for a little while?
Thanks for asking. Everything is going good.
Where did you find that hay feeder? Is it for goats or do they call it sheep feeders? I've been looking for a sturdy one for my goats they can't knock over.
Pamela Sk it’s for both I got it at a local feed store. I will see if there is a name brand on it.
Thank you. I'd appreciate that.
Pamela Sk it made by B&W Farm & Ranch Equipment
So you use the micro chip in females you keep or sell as breeding stock and scrapie tags for slaughter does and bucks or just bucks? The females get the green or yellow ones? Thanks. Like your videos. I depend on them to learn the business.
Jim Buford yes the breeding stock that is registered get the micro chip ear tags & a id tag all others get scrapie tags.
Does it matter which ear (left/right) you put the colored tag vs the microchip tag? Registered animals that get the microchip tag end up with a tag in each ear?
@AshiiBashii yes if they have the microchip tag we use the other ear for a farm / Scrapie tag
Will a regular chip reader pick these up?
Yes it will!
Thanks for watching
I thought it had to be a inserted microchip? I saw somewhere where microchip tags weren't an option.
coolguy24eric no you can get these with the micro chip already in them. They are all flex ear tags
@@BoisDArcKikos oh I was told by the registry they had to be microchips inserted in the tail or ear because ear tags weren't permanent. They said the eaf tags with chips was for the rancher only.
coolguy24eric I got mine registered through NKR There is a number on the tag I put on the papers that is the microchip number. That is registered with kiko goats.
If you put a piece of clear tape over your microphone it will eliminate the sound from the wind.
dr Q'in thanks for the info
I use a microphone with a wind reducing ball on it
I might have to try that
How do you take them out
You don’t take them out. They stay in for the life of the goat.
I see you have added another to the stupid stick club!
lol had too. Young doeling
