After doing this swap with this kit if the truck has a problem with engine or transmission can a regular shop still figure out what’s wrong with the engine or tranny with there computers
Of course, everything's still functions like factory. You also have the option of plugging directly into our products and using our diagnostic applications if you are having an issue.

damn im going to need that for my 04 excursion. cant wait for the cluster helper for 04 and up. also what multi switch did you use for the excursion since its got the rear wiper?
The multifunction switch is from an Escape, I believe it was a 2007 year model. You can find them brand new on eBay for pretty cheap.
I kinda fell behind on your updates but did the 04+ cluster helper get released yet as well?

You mention something about not using relays for turn and such, if I'm not mistaken my 05 f350s trailer light circuits are powered by their own fused relays from factory, how's that work out?
That relay will no longer be used, and we use the power that originally went to that relay to power the solid state blinker circuits in the Column Helper.
Would this work on the 07-14 expedition column?
We don't have any experience with the '07 to '14 Expedition column, but it is compatible with the Expedition and Escape multifunction switch. They fit into the super Duty column, and will allow you to control your rear wiper in an Excursion.
I have an 05 Excursion. When ordering column helper on the site, do I select 2005 or 2004 for Truck Model Year, since the Excursion didn’t receive an update in 05?

@@SwapHelper that’s what I figured, but wanted to be sure. Also, for the multi switch, is it just the switch on the side from an Escape that’s needed or the whole assembly?
@@robbygonzalez7911 when you say whole assembly, are you talking about the multifunction switch or the column? You will need an entire multifunction switch, but they don't really come apart.
@@SwapHelper i believe they attach to an assembly that goes through the shaft of the column. Is that piece needed?
@@robbygonzalez7911 negative, all you need is the multifunction switch.
Is the brake peddle still going to deactivate the cruise as normal, or just the buttons alone?
The cruise control continues to function like factory. The brake will deactivate the cruise control just like it originally did.
Will work for manual transmission on 7.3 2001 or only automatic?
It is transmission agnostic, so it'll run with any transmission.
