Why Did God Create the World in the First Place? WRONG!! The Beginningless CYCLE of Creation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 бер 2023
- The sages of ancient India (rishis) intuited that the universe has no beginning or end because it continually undergoes cycles of manifestation and dissolution. The same is true for living beings who undergo cycles of birth, death, and rebirth. Q&A series #19.
The rishis understood that the natural word is cyclic: seed - sprout - plant - more seeds. To assume "In the beginning was a single, primordial seed from which all plants arose" is naive. The evolution of plants is much more complicated. Yet, the Bible declares, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth." If nature is truly cyclical, then this statement also seems naive.
According to the rishis, the universe undergoes cycles of manifestation and dissolution. The unmanifest universe exists in a subtle or non-physical form, known as bija avastha or seed state.
Many people find it difficult to grasp the idea of an infinite succession of universes with no beginning and no end. This difficulty is largely due to the fact that infinity lies beyond the scope of experience. But the ancient rishis had no such difficulty - they're called kranta darshis, those who can see beyond, those who can understand what others cannot, those who can grasp infinity.
The rishis differentiated between two kinds of infinity, pravaha nityatvam, eternal flow, and vastava nityatvam, true eternality. The truly eternal exists outside the realm of time, that is, it's timeless. Time and change are two sides of a coin. No change means no time. So, anything that changes exists in time, and that which doesn't change at all is timeless.
Is anything changeless? According to the rishis, atma, your true nature which is pure, unchanging consciousness, unborn, uncreated, eternal, and truly timeless.

About Melchisedec and Jesus, who was a priest alike Melchisedec. Both have no beginning of days, thus eternal.
Hebrews 7:3 Without father or mother or genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God, he remains a priest for all time.
Interestingly Jesus also teaches the truth of non - duality, yet Christianity lost the plot early on, and now bears very little resemblance to his teachings.
@Ron Adams well Christianity has never been based on the non - dualistic teachings of Jesus, and many contemporary accounts of his teachings were destroyed by the early Church as it did not fit their false narrative.

I think that it is more difficult for humans to understand something not having a beginning rather than the concept of infinity. For example, a sequence of all positive integers is an infinite sequence but starts with 1. This is easy to grasp. Understanding something that does not start is much more difficult than understanding something that does not end.
Understanding something that does not start is much more difficult than understanding something that does not end._____ wow brain duck
Math is hard my head hurts
You are thinking of Time as unidirectional sequence. as in 3 dimensional world we live in. Something which has 4th dimension as Time exists as long as Time exists. Past, Present and Future. You can't rule out the possibility that this creation we live in was created 3 dimensional inside but 4 dimensional outside. It may be noted that just like 2 dimension exists within a 3 dimensional world, a 3 dimensional world can exist within 4 dimensional world. I'm not saying that is the reality but it is a possibility.
It depends on the notion of linear time.
It's not that difficult to understand that it is only ever now, and that now is eternal, and therefore has no beginning, or end.
Just imagine the negative and positive numbers
There is no start and no end
I was in early primary school when a teacher told me infinity was too much for our meagre brains to fully comprehend. And almost 50 years later, I still have to agree.
It's not too big, it's not even a size or a scale, the reason people can't comprehend it is because they are trying to look at in terms of size, but infinity is easy to comprehend and see, you just have to be still enough.
As nonsensical to me as "we can't possibly understand the mind of God".
Pranaam Swami Ji. Blessed to hear answer to such very deep spiritual question and an insightful reply. Wish to hear more on such questions.
Dhaniyawaad swamiji, I download, share and thoroughly enjoy your insights and interpretations on various areas of our dharma and your focus on Advaita, this being the Sampradaya I was brought up with. I find your discourses useful for my young nieces, nephews and friends who are too busy to pause and consider the fundamentals of Sanathana Dharma. Especially for the millions who no longer read sanskrit or Tamizh

Thank you for putting into words that I intuitively thought but couldn’t express. It always made me frustrated when people asked me “why was the world created?” Or “how did it all start?” I just knew something was wrong with the question but couldn’t explain why.
This is what it means to “re-examine your common sense.”
People just assume that there HAS to have a beginning of something. There’s no such thing as a “beginning” or an “end”. When is the beginning of a whirlpool? When is the beginning of a hurricane? When is the beginning and end of a cloud? Us humans just make up these “beginnings” arbitrarily for classification purposes.

Huh. I think I'm more confused now than before I watched this video! But I also feel like at the center of this confusion is the clarity I'm looking for.
So that's where I'll go. Looks like I have something to meditate on this week!
A meditation and a shower later:
"Ok, so if my true nature is atma, then how can I have been reborn? I don't even have any kar.... oh..."
"And if my true nature atma is unchanging, then i've NEVER had any kar... oh..."
"Ok then if that's the case, and my true nature is atma and is unchanging then time is... oh!"
I love this journey so much!!!!
I listen despite not believing any if it. Like a nice comforting bedtime story.
Swamiji, why do we have to learn our true nature? Why are we caused to become ignorant and then to realize the Self?

Although it is translated to read:
“In the beginning “
that is a mistranslation of the original Hebrew. There is NO definite article THE in bereshit. The actual real translation is more like
“at a starting point.”
It is True, the One Reality has two aspects the Eternally Constant as Consciousness and the Eternally changeable Power of Consciousness as the recurrent Universe. But in the Recurrent Universe in space and time, there is involution and evolution and though the process in general is eternal each particular individual formation has an initial beginning and an end. God involved itself in limited formation and will evolve itself back to its Totality of Being as the Cosmic/Supracosmic Being.

I think this video highlights an important difference between Vedanta and Buddhism, which is the role of Ishvara. Please take the following comment with the utmost respect and sincerity--I don't wish to cause any animosity, but merely ask questions in the spirit of the ancient Indian philosophical tradition. If you wish to not read it, then you may, as it consists mostly of personal opinions and it is not an attempt to proselytize.
How is the argument that Ishvara created the laws of karma any different from the intelligent design argument championed by western Christians? Buddhists would posit that a truly existent divine being is not necessary in a schema of karma, because karma is contained in karma itself. Causes and effects naturally lead to other predictable causes and effects, and each effect is contained in its cause, and vice versa. The notion of an external divinity controlling the laws of the universe is unnecessary, because even uncontrollable events stem from logical causes. When a tornado hits, it's not because a god sent the tornado, it's because competing weather systems caused unstable air to be agitated, which subsequently caused a cyclone. Buddhists would say that any desire to relate an event to a divinity is the result of a subtle clinging to a higher power outside of oneself, or an ignorance of external potentiating factors.
If we say that the laws of karma aren't self-contained and are controlled by something external, then in the Buddhist opinion, we have fallen into a trap of dualism. Buddhists would posit that an eternal brahman existing outside of samsara is not possible, because if it were, then we would not need "knowledge" or "wisdom" or "observation" to access it. It would just obviously be there, and everyone would be able to abide in it without engaging in neti-neti. Furthermore, if eternalism were an ontological possibility for anything's true nature, then we should be able to find causeless natural phenomena, which would be similarly impossible. Arriving at nirvana itself is caused by the action of meditation, so in that case, how is nirvana something separate from the samsaric process that potentiates it? Buddhists would instead say that śūnyatā is inherently a philosophical deduction rather than an underlying omniscient/omnipotent deity, and that it HAS to be a mental deduction connected to the impermanence of samsara.
Primordial awareness, therefore, must be something inherently connected to the natural order and samsara itself, and it must be all-pervasive in a way that does not negate samsara. This doesn't mean that it's a deity (although it can be personified in that way), but it is the culmination of a sentient being's positive merit and a razor sharp spiritual and philosophical intellect. Samsara in its purest form IS nirvana, and all of its dualistic imperfections arise due to a sentient being's corresponding mental delusions and ignorance. Mental delusions and ignorance come from negative karma, but delusions are not permanent either--They can instead be cleared away so that primordial awareness shines through. As Guru Rinpoche says, "Appearances are not erroneous in themselves, but because of your grasping at them, errors come into existence. But if you know that these thoughts only grasp at things which are mind, then they will be liberated by themselves. Everything that appears is but a manifestation of mind."
If there is no medium of actually escaping karma then what is the point? Just agony for eternity? God is necessary because otherwise nihilism is inevitable.
@@Thermalsquid360 God is not a place to escape to. If they were, then that would mean that they have relegated themself to a specific place or realm, and that would mean that they are not truly infinite.
Buddhism is not nihilism--When we take refuge, we tune ourselves to the vibrancy of emptiness. Emptiness is not nothingness; emptiness is the nature of all phenomena; primordial awareness is at the heart of emptiness. They are inseperable, and one cannot exist without the other, because neither are independent of anything else. Any other understanding of sūnyatā would violate the premises of Madhyamaka philosophy.
How is the argument that Ishvara created the laws of karma any different from the intelligent design argument championed by western Christians?
- Why does it matter even if its the same.
Buddhists would posit that a truly existent divine being is not necessary in a schema of karma, because karma is contained in karma itself. Causes and effects naturally lead to other predictable causes and effects, and each effect is contained in its cause, and vice versa.
- Same is said by Vedas mainly Samkhya(before buddhism) the theory is called as 'satkaryavada'(effect exist in the cause), You should understand the concept of Ishvara in Vedanta(here Advaita). In the similar way you may ask why is Ishvara needed for Gravity lets say.
The point is Ishvara provides existence to these things. This is not nihilism that nothing exists ultimately, our concept is because of Ishvara these things exist at material level, from POV of transcendent i.e Brahman Karma etc dont exist only Brahman exist.
Avidya-> Kama -> Karma(Ignorance leads to misidentification with body/mind leads to Karma) in the material level(Vyahavarika). Paramartika(transcendent) just provides temporary existence to this whole cycle.
In buddhism case what is the answer why some people find the spiritual path or follow it while most of dont if the spiritual path is true? Is it random?
How beautifully explained, thank you . 🙏🏻
I find both ideas, the creation and the beginning-less neverending (because timeless) cycle interesting, they both seem to me to have a different quality and empower different aspects of existence. The creation idea seems to me to empower the energy of progress, starting somewhere and developing through a process (of learning, understanding, improving). The beginning-less and endless cycle has more the quality of letting things happen and being the observer of existence. Both have their place and serve a purpose. Maybe the "truth" is just a question of the point of view, if a cycle reaches its end it's essence and sum of experience becomes the initial creator (God) of the next cycle. Maybe it's all a process, to answer the initial question?
I would be careful to state that one concept (or the other) is a wrong assumption, especially if you don't proof that you haven't just replaced one possible wrong assumption with another.
I think its all a simulation maybe infinite ♾️ times we will reach a 0 karma point and this cycle will come to an end as we will get to the point which eternal truth wanted us to be at 😅
Beginning can be thought of as motion or, in contemporary cosmological terminology, fluctuation arising within the initial singularity. Before motion stillness.
To play...hence Lila (the Divine Play). Kind of like how you create a dream world every night. Why do you dream?
How do you avoid gnosticism with this outlook?

Thank you, Swami-ji.
The lucid style of presentation is a joy to listen to. With that said, there are inherent questions that tend to come up - why there is this beginningless cycle of creation. OK, why question cannot be asked because space and time itself is part of the 'creation'. But then what is a cycle if it is not in time? Can cycle be understood without notions of time. Probably not. Did Karma Phala Dhata create time and cycles? The comment is to only show there are inherent contradictions , but Vedanta has addressed these and beyond. Perhaps Swamiji will get into the next levels of understanding in a future video with his own style
Great, profound insights very comprehensively explained by Swamiji 👌🏻🙏🏻✨
Swamiji,
In my enlightened experiences and observation from that state. There are two main state of existance as the maximum state as well as the minimum to the consciousness. It is a pulsating state between the two states in conciseness itself, why this process is required as you describe is a continuous process. ( we observe only the peaks of both states as static. But there is operating pulses of consiousness as energy , that is observed by the observer as per its pre programmed systems of observations)
Prabha.
I explain time and movement, or change as the timer on a video player. When you press the pause button you stop time and everything is frozen. For things to happen or play out you need to press the play button and we see the timer restart.
Thank you very much Swamiji for the Divine knowledge 🪷💞📿
Thanks for your inspiration. I have experienced many aspects of spiritual growth and even more recently a turya state of awareness where complete freedom and perfect peace became my awareness and I then knew consciousness as my Truth. Now, I ask, what is my rebirth and where?
But Swamiji, why is the universe cyclical? Why is there this duality of manifest and unmanifest? Activity and stillness? Ishwara and Devi Ma?
I think the one can answer this is the enlighten one.😄
Duality (limitation) was necessitated by OUR OWN IRRATIONAL DESIRE, as my books explain. And the Universe is cyclical because it is repeating the same lesson for us, again and again, until we "get it." We come again and again (reincarnation) so that we can be asked again and again: "WHAT DO YOU DESIRE?" And eventually our irrational desire will be overcome such that our answer to that question will consistently be: "I DESIRE ONLY TRUTH!" Without prejudice.
Space and time are limitations. And the question is WHY ARE WE EXPERIENCING A WORLD (REALM) OF LIMITATION? This is the most esoteric secret in this entire Universe. But there's no need for speculation, as the answer to this question has finally been revealed to all with ears to hear. WE NECESSITATED this experience while still experiencing Infinite Eternity. And we will all OVERCOME the error that necessitated this experience of limitation, guaranteed. Want to know EXACTLY how? Elijah has returned, as prophesied, and all secrets are revealed. "The Book of GOD." Click and ye shall find.
By the way, I correspond only through my sites.
@@thoang101 Just because you're enlightened, doesn't mean you know everything.
Universe isnt cyclical, nor there is duality. All of these arise bcause we perceive time as seperate spatial dimension. Its just our perception of time. Reality is hyperspace. Its 4 dimensional block universe where time is just anothet spatial dimension. Think of all moments of time laid out next to each other like frames of movie. Its unchanging. Its just unchanging mathematical pattern that we percieve it slice by slice.
You can experience this unchanging unmanifest reality with no Time on high doses of psychedelics

Very good video. Very well explained.
It's strange how what you say is not only a position many scientists take but the Heat Death which the universe expands so much all matter spreads out into a subtle and cold state as you described being considered the most likely candidate for the death of the Universe. At first this may conflict with your statement on the singularity Universe but may give an insight on the functions that still take place when the universe is "dead."
I feel you didn't quite answer my question. originally I sent "why is there something rather than nothing?". (the ontological question)I dumbed it down to "why did ishvara create the world" ? but your answer was to fulfill the karmic laws. but my question really is deeper than that. why create karmic laws, why have laws of consequence/reward, why have life, why have "anything". if ishvara is perfect fullness and eternal bliss, why create this whole "play" / "univers" with people, karma, actions, "change". why not just stay in the perfect fullness of eternal bliss and there be "nothing". ie why is there something rather than nothing. why is there anything at all?
i posed this question to a christian friend, and he had a similar answer, so god could love us, test us, demonstrate his glory ect. why does god/ishvara "need" any of this to exist. and if they don't, then why "change" the steady state of eternal bliss, and create all this?
It couldn’t experience itself, without this manifestation.. Imagine your in a room all by yourself with no mirror, eternally. You can’t see your face. Divine Curiosity, possibly, manifested/manifests. Even this is somewhat dualistic explanation for something that is, at the root, unfathomable by the mind. Experience/meditation and a inexhaustible desire to seek “What am I?” are useful tools in seeking the High and Lofty. You may find, it all “shrinks down” to One source, and that, You we’re waiting for You all along.
The answer is "nobody knows" whoever knows "do not exit in physical form". I've been having the same question. But now I understood that we can never get an answer for this from someone else. We need to find it and when we do, "I" won't exist.
Three things are eternal: Ishvar, Prakriti and Aatma. They have always existed. The nature of Aatma is to experience. So for the experience of Aatms, Ishvar created this world using Prakriti, and the laws of Karma follow from there. The answer to your question does existin detail, even for the question that why is there something rather than nothing, but you have to study that in Hindu philosophy. You can't get that answer by reading Hindu scriptures, you have to study philosophy. I am too studying Hindu philosophy, so I am not on that stage of answering your question in the best way. Btw I don't accept the philosophy of Advait Vedanta.
The western philosopher Alan Watts proposes that our manifest existence is God's game, the means by which God has an experience. There are several UA-cam vids where he makes this case. Here is one ua-cam.com/video/jldHW2xKBao/v-deo.html
Seems to me that your question “Why is there something rather than nothing?” is based on your belief that there is something. Logic dictates that there cannot be anything other than Existence (or is-ness), where the latter is not a thing. Further, the question “Why is there Existence?” cannot arise in a rational mind. Hence, your belief that there is something other than Existence defies reason.
To Christians who appreciate Vedanta there is common ground. One doesn’t have to nix the other. 🙏
There is none actually! Just the identity crisis of Christian- born people while encountering the heights of Vedanta.
@@SJ-zo3lz There is for sure. Consider your understanding of Christian conception to be your own first and foremost, you have no authority in dictating others understanding. This question about GOD comes because we think that there needs to be a creator to create something. Like you create a paper using the leaves.
And another question raises instantly, who created the GOD?. And the answers by most is he cannot be created. He was forever present.
(I shall left this statement from Carl Sagan.)
He says, "In many cultures it is customary to answer that God created the universe out of nothing. But this is mere temporizing. If we wish courageously to pursue the question, we must, of course ask next where God comes from. And if we decide this to be unanswerable, why not save a step and decide that the origin of the universe is an unanswerable question? Or, if we say that God has always existed, why not save a step and conclude that the universe has always existed?”".
I agree the argument since God is
suppose to timeless, space less, and eternal therefore there’s no need of explanation of his creation , but how do you know there may a concept in an explanatory way higher than the supernatural explaining the creation of a supernatural divine being to be created but it definitely has to go above naturalistic explanation which science is limited too so it would be at this time literally impossible to fin empirical for entity who are not themselves are not physical being but spiritual and to explain if it was the case a being such as God can be created maybe be can’t cause he spaces less,
timeless, and eternal I don’t know.

That all these mere theories of advaita are nothing but mere approximation because brahman can never be understood completely by human intelligence.
This is why hindus do not have divine revelations like bible or koran.

As physical entities it is difficult for us to believe the universe as unreal. The fact is that only brahman or consciousness is the eternal timeless unchanging reality. Only Advaita establishes this fact beyond doubt.
Depends on our ability to grasp or accept this truth.
Thank you
God I love this video. Thank you thank you 🙏🏼
May everyone's atman flower brightly, even in the most darkest of places.
There’s a critical logical flaw here. If you are going to posit that the cause of the next cycle of creation is the unfructified collective karma from the previous cycle, you have to come to a point where the karmic cycle began.
Or, you can posit that every jiva was created with karma inherent to it, in order to start its cycle and its lifetimes.
Whichever way you go, you can’t avoid the fact that our origination is in ignorance & powerlessness, and not in the all-knowing consciousness that somehow chose to forget its true nature, imbue ignorance, desire and karma upon itself, and then thrust itself headlong into an uncomprehendingly long cycle of suffering. No being would do that to itself.
I find that the position of there being Purusha, who “creates” Prakriti wherein it itself is immanent, but every soul is individual, with its own identity and journey through this maze, makes more sense.
In other words, at the end of the day, we can’t escape from the reality that there is God, who “created” or in whom the creation is “projected”, however one wants to put it, and then there is us, the creation.
And we are most certainly not the same, however the Creator has designed the jiva such that It is immanent and realisable from within it, but only when, after a seeming eternity of journeying and evolving through Prakriti, and then finally severing its self-identity with Prakriti, or maturing and extricating itself from the “projection”, by, paradoxically, “dying to itself”, so to speak, does it become “liberated”.
Well, what liberation, if one has to cease to exist as it is and has been since its creation , ie forever from its perspective, in order to be “liberated” ? It’s a compelling, but in essence, a circular argument.
Only from that perspective, the Truth, or Reality, is non-dual, contingent on the premise that what is real or true, must itself be incontingent. Then in that case, none of us and our problems and suffering are “real” anyway, which defeats the entire point of this darshana as a solution to suffering. As I said, Advaita Vedanta sure seems to be a cyclical, fundamentally logically flawed proposition.
The why question can not be asked of Awareness.
It explains the imperical difference but not the ultimate philosophical difference as both agree that love and compassion are of the greatest wisdom. Swamiji explains the difference only towards the perspective of the very finite (and almost irrelevant) context of the question Alone, in the broader understanding love and compassion are of the far great wisdom beyond this so-called difference
It is possible that “in the first place” is a figure of speech meaning basically, “at all.”
But if we or the manifest undergoe rebirths what happens when all the karmic undone work is finally done? Or is it never done? If it is never done than the idea is flawed.
It comes to end in Knowledge and you are liberated (meaning no rebirth)
Avidya(Ignorance)-> Kama (Misidentification with body/mind)-> Karma(actions)

What do you know about yourself when there is nothing outside of you ?

God knows Love.

That would be my answer.
In my view, the question "Is there God?" itself is pointless. The question would have been relevant if there would have been any evidence that God intervenes and gives rewards and punishments according to his predilections. Even if Self enquiry leads you to Nirguna Brahman (and I don't dismiss Nirguna Brahman as figment of imagination), how does the discovery that you are Nirguna Brahman, in any way, affect YOU as a person, I fail to understand.
God, as imagined by most humans, if there is one, has gone to great length not to reveal himself to mankind. Why search for God and go against HIS wish?
If everyone were happy, as in the imagined heaven, who would bother about God? It's only because there is suffering in life that we want to even think about HIM. Find a solution to suffering. Knowling about God will NOT mitigate suffering. Knowing about self (our ego) and how it is an impediment to happiness will help certainly.
The notion that knowing our true Self (the Absolute Brahman) will give us freedom from suffering is of doubtful veracity. Sufferings will be mitigated by right Karma. By following Dharma.
Finally, there is no human being who has been happy by doing adharma. But there are people who are happy without believing in God. God is NOT central to happiness. Dharma is.
It is possible that in ancient times it was necessary to "invent" God so that people follow Dharma. I think times have changed now and in a rule of law based society we don't need God, irrespective of whether HE exists or not, for us to follow Dharma. We should improve our justice system to mete out punishments in this life rather than in afterlife. On a lighter note, effective justice in this life will probably help a person avoid many unnecessary births and rebirths. 😜
Follow Dharma and you will be rewarded with a blissful life.
So why this unmanifest and manifest or cyclicalic event occur
In brahmsutra it is considered as the very intrinsic nature of brahman to play this leela.
There is no specific goal or purpose and there cannot be because brahman isnt bounded by desire. In upanishads he is considered as purnam (self fulfilled)
That's nirbeej samadhi & this is how you get out of the cycle

Excellent answers, very reasonable and makes a lot of sense to me
But this is still beating around the bush. Cycle of Universes must have started so why did it start
In the grand scheme of things we are no more important than any other life form and will cease to exist in time. Our opinions of self importance are as irrelevant as our endless demands for a divine deity to establish the unknown. A catastrophic event and/or nature itself will see to it that we taught our place in the cosmos in due course.
I don't understand the concept of infinite consciousness that persist even when things are not manifest. If there is nothing to be coscious of, how on earth can I be conscious? I can't picture in my head "nothing"
Read pramey ratna samgraha
@@dhruvdodia1791 Can you explain bc I do not intend to read it. I'm not reading a whole book I know nothing about only to gain information about a topic that can easily be discussed online
First important question is from where God come? Then comes creation story.
It's always exist .... It's beyond time and space so time related question is invalid.
God is existence, consciousness and infinity.
Thank you, Swami , Who is worried about the Universe and the creation. ?. I guess it is the Mind with likes and dislikes. If we are able to overlook these two adjuncts created by the flow of mind , creation ceases to exists The Self enquiry could create a threshold to cross over the world of appearances for good.
Thanks Swamiji. So the Infinite person can not understand finite creation.
That makes literally no sense considering humans wouldn’t even have come about without Mother Earth aka nature which is apart of God, it’s all connected nothing is separate
@@r3b3lvegan89 yes is all oneness but one must transcend beyond mind and body to understand the finite.
Infinite and person cannot be in the same sentence

There are infinite beings I believe.
Jiva cares. You don't.
What if, even though the great Hindu, and Buddhism Guru's gain more Siddhis/Supernatural abilities, that, perhaps it is not the objectively truth path and purpose of man & existence. What if we don't have to transcend our uniqueness of "self", nor do we have to transcend our loving attachments. Maybe if we ceaselessly follow unconditional -(towards all people & all life) with our heart, and we follow the ways of dignity in our thoughts words and actions.
In all the cyclical material manifestations - who - or - what - put the Gunas.. etc.. and all the Karmas in motion.... Ishvara...? for - what..-.. this very strange game ?? ? just to return all to the Unmanifest, the Etermal.? It is incomprehensible to our limited condition....why ? 🕉️
The question still remains. Why does the infinite cycles without the beginning and the end with residual karma exist? What is the point of this leela?
Ignorance
@@deadlyninja8391 Isn't the desire to 'know' or 'not continue to be in ignorance' is also a desire which keeps us in the loop?
@@parthapd26 It's Maya but it moves you out of ignorance. There are 2 types of Maya(Vidya Maya and Avidya Maya i.e maya of ignorance and knowledge). As the scripture states that when Englishment is achieve there is no need for scripture itself. Veda becomes na veda
@@deadlyninja8391 Thank you 🙏🏽
@@deadlyninja8391 Even though I have understood what you wanted to convey... my original question still remains though. Why this leela of vidya and avidya? Why anything?
The only answers I have gotten is that its His leela and we have to surrender as the mind cannot comprehend. But aren't we and the brahhm One? Isn't it our own leela?
Now, when I ask this question, I am not seeking any answer necessarily because the mind won't be able to produce one. I ask this question because this question creates a different way experiencing existence.
And how do the rishis know exactly?
Through Shashtra and Shabda Pramana. i.e Verbal Testimony i.e Vedas & through direct experience. You follow the techinques given the scriptures to experience for yourself.
Isvara is still the initiator of the cosmos/distributor of karma.
I know how to end religion with the truth, that would end atheism. I was religious in my early years to become atheist and finally i understand that God is all eternal and infinite reality. Atheism is a logical fallacy or error of reasoning that assumes God is sky daddy or the imaginary friend with a terrible temper living in the sky that do religious miracles interfering with reality for prayers and concludes wrongly that the creator of the creation doesn’t exist because it is impossible that sky daddy exists. I need the fallacy of atheism to be understood because potentially infinite lives would be saved with my knowledge. An example of the innumerable examples of the fallacy of atheism is the statement "God has an unalterable and perfect plan for every person, but you should still pray in a vain attempt to change it." attributed to David G. Mcafee. How atheists know God has an unalterable and perfect plan? What are the evidences that the creator of the creation has an unalterable and perfect plan? Religious people have told atheists who is God and atheists have believed them to conclude wrongly the creator of the creation doesn’t exist. To not be fallacious the statement should be "The religious concept of God has an unalterable and perfect plan for every person, but you should still pray in a vain attempt to change it.". To determine if something exists or not first we must know what is that something. Atheists believe God is who he is not and don't believe God exists, and they are wrong because they believe. An analogy would be that humanity believed horses have a horn on the head and do magic and atheists didn't believe horses exist and religious people believed in unicorns. Atheists don't see horses because they are looking for unicorns and religious people believe in unicorns because horses exist because nothing can be created from nothing. The evidence that God exists is the creation and is everywhere always because God is everything that ever existed, exist and would exist. The bible is only proof that Jesus Christ doesn't exist, like the Qurʾan is only proof that Allah doesn't exist, but to conclude God doesn’t exist atheism would have to provide arguments to refute the arguments for the existence of the creator of the creation. Humanity have misunderstood the nature of God personifying a metaphysical entity with disastrous consequences. Atheism can only conclude rationally that the religious concept of God doesn’t exist. Reality is what it is and when we die what is going to happen or not happen is regardless of our beliefs. Is it possible to be wrong? Is it possible to believe it is impossible to be wrong believing? Atheists believe it is impossible to be wrong because it is impossible that sky daddy exists and religious people should be cautious considering that the bible is nonsensical to religious people and atheists alike, except for christians that defend an idea that contradicts reality with faith and without arguments. "God" is the name in english that the creator of the creation has been given. God is by definition the creator of the creation. To ask to demostrate that the creator of the creation is God is like asking to demostrate that sweet food are desserts. When atheists ask to demostrate that the creator of the creation is God or to prove God's existence what they have in their mind is the erroneous idea of God as sky daddy. Atheists believe and try others to believe that the idea of God is a dogma of faith that belongs to religion, and that's why they compare fallaciously God with mythological creatures like unicorns and fictional characters. The idea of God is universal, like mathematics, because is obtained by reason and there has never been a society without it. If human life was discovered in any number of planets in all of them they would have in their culture the idea of God and in none of them they would know cristianity, islam or any other religion that dishonest humanity have made up in their own image and likeness to control scared and hopeful believers with the threat of eternal hell and the empty promise of eternal happiness, because there is not life without death and happiness without unhappiness. Likewise they would not know what are unicorns or fictional characters like Spiderman, but they could know the number pi. The difference between a lie and a mistake is that the mistake is rectified because is not done in bad faith. God is necessary for existence and if God didn’t exist atheists would not exist because nothing would exist. Could reality exist being everything created?
🕉...
I want to frame the question in another way.. Why God created Laws of Karma.. what was the need or desire to create anything itself..
God didn't create the laws of Karma. Avidya-> Kama -> Karma. You are infinite but in ignorance of your true self this leads to attachement to body mind which leads to Karma. In knowledge there is no Karma hence you become free.
