This series is going to be super useful for painting some of my undead pirates, thanks for putting them out. I'd like to see how you guys would tackle necrotic flesh, something a little paler and more rotten than your Plaguebearer guide.
I think a Zombie is definitely called for.
Undead pirates? That sounds awesome!
Rum and bones? Thought the same😊
Oh my god, thank you for showing the splattering trick. It really clicked for me there!
4:12 have done that and like the result. The nice thing is that inks have a decent amount of flow improver in them, so that mixes well with the properties of the contrast paint.
This channel is criminally underrated.
Awesome work again. Loving this series!
Glad to hear it!
Stunning model, mate!
Great video and a great end result!
Thanks a lot!
Great to see all these techniques - thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Come back to this tutorial for some inspiration. Wondered how you’d approach a black cloth?
I went and bought Sansadoor just because of these videos. I now believe in Sansadoor addiction
haha, all hail Sansodor!
Excellent video. Clear instructions and execution of simple steps to produce a great result. Quick question. You mention that your brush is almost ready for the oil brush pile. Please will you run me through the lifecycle of one of your good brushes?
Thanks Jonathan. I’m afraid I’m pretty bad with brush care. So as soon as I can no longer maintain a sharp point on the brush it gets relegated to oils. Where a good enough point will do.
Nice technique on the tattered cloth. did you take some of that thinned down burnt umber and sort of glaze over the main parts of the cloth? When you showed the mini the next day, those main body areas looked darker.
Yeah, washed/glazed different parts of the cloth.
Just realized the hair isn’t on my screen -.-
Where can I get such a high tech miniature holder contraption, is it expensive
Working on branding them up now.
Are you wicking off the excess paint on something or letting the liquid soak into a paper towel before applying? Or just using the contrast paint’s excess liquid to build up in the recesses?
paper towel.
@@cultofpaint thank you
