I know I've had tournaments like that. Remember one my partner had two in the boat. Every fish I set the hook on either shake off or break off! Three in the same brush pile. It sucked ass that day. Now when I go to tournaments, I try not to think about it. I try not to go in over confident or under either. Just neutral in between. I'm just finishing and trying find fish and develop a pattern. You're the man Ben, your positivity levels are insane through the ceiling bro! Watching you and the G-man have helped me improve on my positive mind additude when fishing. Thank you for your video's and content, know you got a fallowing and strong fan base that's here to try to cheer you up and help keep your journey moving forward.

I'm also a Ben from Nebraska with the same dream. Very cool to know this guy grew up fishing the same little 200 acre local lakes that I do, Wehrspann, Standing Bear, Zorinsky, Two rivers, etc. They are pretty tough to get great bass out of, very heavily pressured public waters in Eastern NE. But I know that kind of adversity probably helped prepare him for the success he has today on better fisheries.
Love being apart of this journey! The tourney vids are always my favorite! Aside from 1 or 2 fish that I have seen you have fished pretty clean all year. Keep it up big dog.

While I doubt you’ll see this Ben, I just wanted to say thanks. I’ve always been into cat fishing but you got me into bass fishing and today I finally caught my first bass, was only a 2.5-3 pounder but man I haven’t been able to wipe the smile off my face since. Thanks for sharing all the info and giving an inside personal look at what it’s like to bass fish and continue to invite more new comers like me to the sport

Loving these tournament videos. The main thing is that number nine spot I got all the faith in the world in ya buddy.
It does suck when you know you made a mistake that cost you - In this case maybe it would have put you inside the top 20 but that was a grinder and you finished 22nd which is a phenomenal finish in the opens, especially this year the BM Opens EQ is full absolutely amazing talent and you are hanging with the best of the best in bass fishing. There is NO harder series to fish. You are a VERY versatile angler. You absolutely dominated on lakes that setup like your home lakes and even on the tough fisheries (Kerr Lake) you held your own and had respectable finishes in the 60s out of 230+ boats and now a 22nd place. You are getting much closer to your dream of fishing the Elite Series!!! Keep crushing!

That kinda stuff turns great fishermen into just your average one,I hope you watched the video of Nanna he was very informative about how he won just like you,the part about letting his bait fall down thru the white bass until he felt heaviness was the ticket. Broken off fish cheap line and bad knots are not good 😊

Hey keep your head up buddy win or lose ur still spreading ur positivity and showing us followers/fans what really happens in these tournaments. It’s crazy how good u adjust to the conditions. But I will say this it’s absolutely bonkers that the past few tournaments everyone is only catching dinks when these lakes have big fish. I can tell u I wasn’t expecting it but u kno what u always find a way to get a bag of 5 each day. The only way that is happening because ur the man the myth the legend, and I’ll always be watching u with the highs and the lows. So keep doing what u do and that’s making great content, and showing guys like me who suck at fishing how we can be successful.

I love watching Ben so maybe Im biased but I feel he has an edge on the rest of the field going up north factoring points and what not he is one of the best scopers and can catch big small jaws like its nothing should be fun to see the northern sends for the opens keep on crushing them Ben🤙🏻

I always notice boats popping up almost beside you. When im fishing if i come up on a spot and someone is there i continue on and dont stop. Heck with all the tournaments you never know that man could be on fish and getting ready to win and that 1 fish you catch off his spot could be the one he needs for 10k

what prevents someone going out there stealthy the night before start time with a little rc craft to get real advanced naval type pings of the lake? it'd probably stun a few weak fish, but give more of a detailed view than the consumer grade sonars Fishing is pushing.
