Geez, this saved me from going insane, using Winrar 7.00 to open and extract .rar and .zip files ending up in extraction errors, did a reinstal of Winrar without results, was about to reset computer (reset Windows) or reinstall Windows but wanna take a look on YT if there was a remedy for this problem, i already erased gigabytes of files and software beforehand due to this error thinking it was a file issue, turns out to be that the Winrar app being the culprit, uninstalled Winrar, downloaded and installed 7zip, suddenly i was able to extract and view files from .rar and .zip archives.
