Echeveria laui (Ech-eh-VER-ee-a LAU-eye) is a succulent plant from the family Crassulaceae. Indeed one of the most gorgeous and sought-after species of Echeveria. An elegant rosette of thick, round leaves. In fact, the leaves are red, but completely covered by a powdery white wax of farina. This collectors specimen is native to sheer cliff sides in Oaxaca where it can reach 7 inches (17.8 cm) wide and rarely produces offsets.
Echeveria peacockii (Ech-eh-VER-ee-a pee-KOK-ee-eye) is also known as Peacock Echeveria. An evergreen succulent with pretty pale silvery-blue rosettes. In fact, there are over 20 spoon-shaped, pointed, powdery leaves.
Additionally, leaf tips can turn pinkish-red when exposed to bright light. Echeveria peacockii can grow up to 6 inches (15 cm) wide. Also known as Echeveria desmetiana or Echeveria subsessilis.
Echeveria cante is also known as the White Cloud Plant. Indeed a stunning succulent that forms a rosette of white leaves. Additionally, they are covered with a thick powdery whitish coating. Leaves can also produce a blue-green color and margins can produce red edges.
Echeveria Cante prefers full coastal sun to light shade and well draining soil. In winter months, maintain bright light and be sure to avoid overwatering. Hardy to at least 25°F (-3.9°C) in zones 9-11.

I have had a number of these succulents and cacti but never knew the names of them. There are so many unique and interesting names to them I wonder who names them? Maybe likely the botanists who have discovered them?

How to care kalla lily
& problems?
Thanks
Thanks for watching!!
I'm not sure I would put pachyveria scheideckerii in the white column. At least mine are pale green at the maristem, blue mid-leaf, and red tips. Maybe worth noting that mine's a pigtailed cristata and so I have it in a hypercontrolled indoor desert terrarium under serious-tier grow lights and humidity control so it's always lightstressed. I don't want to risk my higher value plants to the weather.
Woah that’s a legit set up! Way to go. Different light variations will def give different color shades. And yes, some on this list can def be more green/blue depending on lighting and temps.
I don't know what kind of flower this is... It's some kind of cactus... right?
A very attractive flower, in bloom....
Thanks for watching!
🙏🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹👍👍🔔
Thanks!
isn’t Laui just pronounced “laow-ee” your pronunciation made it sound like it would be spelled “Lauii”. i could be wrong, i’ve been trying to find patterns in latin name spellings vs pronunciations. it can be tricky!
It can definitely be tricky and I could certainly be wrong. From what I have been able to gather it is technically pronounced LAU-eye (although many pronounce it as LAU-ee). It is also sometimes misspelled as Lauii. Named for Dr. Alfred B. Lau, 21st century cactus collector and explorer.
First off, nice video and really good info, top quality images and to the point. One small thing, Google translate Latin to whatever and listen to the Latin audio please, you're saying a Latin name so pronounce it correctly, even in English it's pronounced ech as in tech not etch as in sketch. Sorry if you think I am being mean, i don't mean to be mean (most people mispronounce these names) but you are educating people and should do so properly, imagine if your teacher taught you to say "Heello" instead of "hello". This wouldn't bother me if you were an ordinary person but you are an educational content creator and have taken the liberty of including incorrect pronunciations!
Hi Jay! Thanks for taking the time to comment. Yes, you are correct ech is the Latin pronunciation. Botanical nomenclature is all over the board with regards to pronunciation and the etymology of plant names. I have been taught that etch is an acceptable pronunciation, sorry if that upset you. Have a great weekend.
How's it going today sweetheart ❤️
Amazing! How are you Carlos?
