You could argue that the location helps to increase the price, but 2.75 cr.? For a location? If you now compare the prices with Bombay and Hyderabad, I'd say they're no places for comparison. If you have to compare, compare with something better, not with something worse. Real estate prices in those 2 cities are complete shit, and if we're comparing with them and saying we're cheaper, guess what, we're moving in the wrong direction.

I am not surprised at this price. Price of land in Kolkata is huge, beyond common person's reach. So the sale of this type of property or full house is not meant for common people. Generally house owner hands over the property to promoter, who obviously has the resources to buy it, demolish the house, erect new building and recover all costs & profits through sale of flats. This is happening to all old houses in Kolkata, specially in North Kolkata this is happening everywhere.

Yes, there are buyers and they are not common people. Dakhin Khola Haoa often shows pricey properties and some people comment roughly. They should understand that there are rich people too who may intend to buy such properties.
