  • The fourth event of Edenbrook Country parkrun saw the coming together of the two people who have parkrun and volunteered the most on this planet - 805 times respectively.
Danny pays a visit and chats to Darren Wood and Nicki Clark as well as others on a super sunny day round this brand new country park.

I'm glad to see you're using the drone... the shots of the CP at the start were stunning. NIce to hear from Darren Wood - your face when the lady starts to give feedback was a picture! Thanks, it was another great video. Edenbrook CP is pretty close so I hop to visit soon.

Surely that’s Danny Norman from the Danny Norman Show?!? Joke ref the main brief 😉 It was good to show the feedback because it is what run directors do receive and it was a very busy event that day. I do think there are times when people forget that these roles are all voluntary. Completely agree with Darren on the benefits of volunteering.

Loving your work, Danny! It's so good to hear more about your journey back to fitness, as during lockdown I listen to all of the TPS back catalogue and I remember well all those years of 18 and 19 minute runs! It also comes across that it's making you feel happy and (dare I say) more confident in yourself and your running - but I do appreciate that we only see the public face of Danny Norman the podcaster and Vlogger!
I loved the interview with Darren too; from the way he handled the feedback from the 30-minute lady runner, he clearly has a future in the FCO Diplomatic Corps!
Loved this Danny - well done and thanks. A great way to start my day!

Fantastic intro, the recent inclusion of drone footage has taken WMN vlog production to another level. Always great to hear from Darren Wood too. Great to hear that you are running better and better Danny.

13:40 they've actually taken a lot of measures to ensure that the parkrun runs smoothly. Most parkruns only call out funnel duckers but these guys called out the funnel blockers and overtakers. Also I noticed on the 2nd event people were cutting the course on the part when you turn 180. They put a marshal at the turn to stop it.

Nice vid as per usual. Love the knowing look to camera when the lady is giving her feedback to Mr Wood

Great video Danny, love the drone footage (gutted we couldn’t stick around longer to play). Well done to Darren and the volunteers for putting on such an amazing vent.

I've been meaning to say how much I love the drone footage at the start of your videos, it really showcases the beauty of these parkrun places.

As an RD too you get all sorts of "advice." The pacer ran too fast and it was dangerous, the course is 50 metres too long, negative comments the lack of timing chips, chalk that some people scribbled on the tarmac about a milestone run and then complained to the council!! It's chalk mate not permanent marker gimmy strength.
Thankfully most comments are nice and positive and thankful.
