WOW. I have been composing for 10 years yet someone finally explained to me the phasing issues with stereo. Oh my god. I love you man. You explain so well, I learned new stuff in 20 minutes. Even though the Hard Psy Pack is expensive FOR ME, I definitely see the value in it and may pick it up, when it comes on sale.
18:47 everything is in stereo - man this, in jazz elements are well panned as well (even hard panned), so the field is done naturally with many elements and bass can still be mono as it should, and you still have really nice rich sound, but yeah as music gets more monophonic with heavy sidechaining, overcompressing etc, the richness, and especially timbre and dynamics can take a massive hit, texture in rawstyle kicks just fascinates me, after that acoustic kicks are just such a weak atonal transient without any character, hardstyle/rawstyle kicks take advantage of the whole frequency spectrum soooo nicely And with that duplication, probably just easier to do parallel processing, and on the duplicated mixer track just have the pure wet signal (maybe just pure reverb panned with some ozone imager or what so you can see better). But yeah everyone says to mono your bass but not why, yet you explained it so nicely) Absolutely fantastic channel for someone that only recently got into hard dance from a classical/jazz and then later dubstep background.
Awesome 🔥, I’ve learned a hell of a lot since watching your videos general, Your take on a euphoric rawstyle kick would be the absolute icing on the cake ! 🤔😀
Brooo... this is exactly the direction of sound I am looking to produce in my near future and I want to thank you kindly for this tutorial. Will definately be experimenting the way you introduced all of those parameters is just amazing. Not like you are going for a direction of sound but just merely showing us how to manipulate sound through all of those knobs and pages within a single vst. You are the man thank you so much man!
i've used serum for years never made triplet bass on grid inside serum, i've always wrote it in midi! da fuck i've nevr thinked about?? ahahahha)) great tuto GG!! have a nice day!!
I don't want the butt hurts or Dj XY come after me but as an addition to your awesome tutorial I would recommend to open the table editor and level out the harmonics so you have more control on the low end (taking care of the mud) and even you might take the first harmonic all the way down so the kick can cut through. Just my 2 cents on this "psytrance kick" topic.

Thank you, Alex! I'll surely buy you a beer next month in Moscow :-)
See ya!
Looking forward to that!
Thanks alex! Nice techniques, much better to use it for hard dance than be another psytrance producer ;)
