I've always been really curious at to how these work, and also why one wouldn't walk around with one of these awesome blades all the time! Yay education!

A suggestion about the sweating, have you ever tried wearing a 1 ply sock in between your stump and liner? It doesn't interfere with the liner, and it soaks up sweat instead of making the liner slick. It's also great for people with tender stumps, like if they have skin grafts or the like (I do). If I am really active and don't put a 1 ply on between my liner and stump, I get blisters, and those take foreeever to heal on a skin graft.
Also, there is a video on my channel that shows how a Flex Run squishes and compresses while running. It's from the view of a GoPro duct taped onto the end of the socket. Running on Flex Run

There's also the Ottobock above-the-knee fitness prosthetic on their site. Here's the link: www.ottobockus.com/prosthetics/lower-limb-prosthetics/solution-overview/above-knee-fitness-prosthesis/

    a thought...
if you were to put a shock absorber in the shank of the walking leg, would it be as effective?

I have a shock absorber in my walking leg and the travel is minimal compared to a running leg, more for going down stairs and so on.

I have OWW Pathfinder II foot, it have shock absorber in it. It's great foot, but I think it's not so efective as this running foot. I didn't try running foot, so I don't know how good it is. You can search in google for Fillauer Wave Sport foot, it's combination of this running blade and walking foot, I think it's currently best allround foot for active people.

Running blades are so different to normal artificial limbs so why don't they make one you can just screw onto your normal leg

I never go running with my running leg because then people stare and it makes me feel different😢

Dude you have no idea how cool I find it when I see someone running in a running blade. I think it's amazing that people with only 1 proper leg can still run normally. When People stare at you it's because they find it amazing!! Keep running!!

Don't worry about it, you are who you are and what other people thinks that's you different, they thinks what they want, it's not bcs other peoples thinks something that you don't can run !
