- Lost and Found Music Studios was the spin off show from The Next Step, but it featured more mature storylines. It deserved a season 3, but was cancelled after 2, so I wrote my own! You can stream Lost and Found on Netflix.

Honestly, TNS needs to seriously gain some of Lost and Found's themes and be more mature. It would make season 7 soo much better.
(Piper and Richelle both have some experience of anxiety/breakdown and it's never acknowledged enough)

They did it really well, it was so emotional and jeni Ross who plays her is amazing. I could really see richelle having a similar breakdown now she has nothing but I don't think tns will go that deep 😢
It was such an important and well portrayed storyline. TNS could really explore this was Piper and Richelle and I think they should. ♡

I've always really wished that they would tell us if John and Michelle get together by dropping a hint in The Next Step (for instance Michelle could mention her boyfriend John or something, or mention that she's single or whatever).
@Roxie Rocks i remember in one episode in season 4 though the band came to perform and michelle was dancing and her and john looked at each other and waved and thats the last thing i ever saw happen between them

new video idea: what if elite had won the dance battle in season 3? i've thought about this for a couple of months and kinda commented this in your videos here and there.
which a-troupe members would have made the team and vice versa with elite? [obviously the elite dancers would have had to be better dancers to win the battle].
would the rest of a-troupe have fizzled out in b-troupe? would they try to make b-troupe better? would b-troupe become serious competition for the next step?
would the dancers try to overthrow lucien as owner/head choreographer? how would he run the team? maybe he'd have kept his eyes on noah and richelle?
would the next step have won internationals? maybe some characters wouldn't have left and maybe there could have been other storylines explored? and michelle going back and forth could have been a much bigger thing because lucien would have really wanted her on his team but she was hardly there and the elite members were getting mad because some of them lacked empathy? [kinda parallel to chloe and her situation in s1].
how would this affect future seasons of the next step? maybe a character like richelle could have been stronger and more well-rounded than she is?

@@beansontoast9924 totally! Miss Kate (though she has ill judgement) is a great original character that I miss. And I NEED a Emily Kate moment. Like Emily was her protégé and Kate was was Emilys idol. She wanted to be just like her. I still think selling her dead mothers studio was uncharacteristic. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I found there wasn't a season 3 after being left on the cliffhanger that is Michelle and John's relationship, I was so sad! I shipped those two so much 😭😭😍. This video really let me truly imagine what Lost and Found could've been, thanks for all your hard work!!

I have never seen Lost and Found before but you are an amazing writer and all your ideas are so good!! I love the idea of deeper storylines and having some lesbian characters or some characters dealing with anxiety and even having racism. They make the show more mature and give the characters a lot more depth and I appreciate that a lot. It's pretty much the opposite of Season 7 😂 Hey, maybe you can rewrite that too! That would be great 💖💖

Lost and found had so much potential because it was way more realistic than tns. I cried onthefew last episodes with Clara and John ect...
I was crying for the last episodes non stop and when it came up with the screen saying there was no more episodes I was just sat their crying 😂✌🏼

I would 100000% watch your version of Season 3! Seriously, you mentioned some really interesting topics that are extremely rare to find in mainstream television, particularly children's shows. I think that I'd be most excited for both Mary's storyline as well as Clara and Luke's because no one talks about mental health in kids' shows and the only show that I remember ever discussing race was That's So Raven, which was at least ten years ago. I also think that it would be interesting to have Clara talk about how she has been handling her own anxiety when she helps other people because that way she can talk about maybe different coping mechanisms for panic attacks or anxiety attacks or maybe she could even talk about therapy, just like, what different means of help is available for coping with mental illnesses.
Sorry for ranting, I just think that a lot of the storylines that you mentioned are really important particularly in terms educating the target audience of the show regarding topics that they're usually "shielded" from, which to some degree I understand, but I also believe that in keeping said information from them, it does more harm than good. A lot of this is just what I wish I had learned from a TV show or a movie at the age of 12-14.
I was thinking that Jackie and Nate could have a storyline together, like something where Jackie helps Nate, or vice versa (Like how Issac helped Clara during the auditions).
I just watched L&F again and i'm so frustrated about the show being cancelled....so many stories unfinished. characters were lovable and touching the concept was so nice the topics mature and real and the music so good!!! came across your video and tbh i wished it happened like this in S3. this is so sad. the cast were real friends, they deserved to work together for at least two seasons more!

I also think that Clara would be mad at John in season 3. Because I noticed the way Clara stares at John before she leaves. Clara would be getting along well with everybody but when John comes back it's him who she ignores. She would blame him for getting her sent away, and having to tell her parents that she was struggling.

I really liked lost and found, especially John’s storyline. I think it was really cool because it focuses on more mature and realistic storylines. I really like how it touches on mental health and really talks about characters with mental health issues.

Clara and John were such incredible characters in Lost And Found. I really wish that The Next Step would also take on some of Lost And Founds more heavy subjects. The people who grew up watching The Next Step from the first few seasons are now older and a lot of us are already in the mid-late teens age category. The show should try to mature along with its fans.
Instead of Nate leaving and having Rachel come out so casually, I think it’d be cool to see her come out to him first. In season two there was that whole episode of Nate having a crush on Rachel and her telling him to wait for another two years. I think Nate would be a little more comfortable around her and liking her casually with her knowing now that a lot of time has passed since season 2. I could see him not understanding that even though time has passed it doesn’t mean she could like him back and she would probably end up coming out to him. Ive been watching the show since it came out and the fact that it’s been cancelled angers me sm lmao

I think it would be cool if Clara had bipolar disorder just because of her hyperactive behaviour and sudden shifts in emotion:
YES i honestly think she had bipolar depression! because we first see a depression when she’s exposed for passing off free bird as her own, then when she comes back from her break, she seems manic when she tries to work with jude and is completely overbearing. then when she’s producing songs for the band, she goes days without sleep and is super hyper while working on the songs, then when she’s overcome with stress she falls back into a depression and breaks down. there’s such a stark contrast between her moods and i think it was indicative of bipolar!

In my mind, your Lost and Found S3 is the truth ❤👐 I LOVE everyone's plot, especially Mary's, Luke's and Eva's.
Some additions:
* Rachel falls for a new girl, but Leia dislikes that Rachel doesn't follow her around all the time anymore.
* Clara is better, but ashamed of how she acted. She works hard to finally get into the group and succeeds. However, it isn't just easy and wonderful. But I totally agree with that she can help Luke at the end!!

I feel like the girl band would have broken up. There was constant drama and none of their music was truly heartfelt. I know they had some amazing moments like whenever they formed and whenever they sung Made of Stars, but it was just a toxic environment most of the time.

My Season 3 changes & characters
I do not think that it would be a good idea to make Rachel gay because of her (now long distance) relationship with Nate. However, I do think that a bisexual character would be a good idea.
I think the season should have 13 episodes.
Since Nate, Hannah, Luke, Theo, and John left Lost And Found, we need some new musicians. One of them would be Jackie like you said, but here are the 5 others I'm thinking of.
Benjamin-A singer/songwriter who wants to play many different instruments. He gets Parker to teach him how to play the guitar, but he can't play it after only a week of practice. Mr T tells him that he needs more practice, but instead insists that he can't play the instrument and switches to the viola. The cycle repeats with the Viola, Cello, and Trombone until on the 9th episode, Benjamin breaks a trombone he borrowed from Leia. Leia is furious at Benjamin, and Benjamin is forced to buy her a new trombone by Mr T. In the final three episodes of the season, Benjamin is ready to be patient with the guitar and successfully learns how to play it.
Erin/Susan-An optimistic pianist and a competitive singer who is in an a capella group. Around the middle of the season, Susan and Erin write a song together and they fall for each other. The two then come out as bisexual, and Eva confronts Erin and Susan about being gay. In the episode after that, Erin teaches Eva how being bisexual is not a bad thing. In the second to last episode, Susan and Erin share their first kiss. Also, there is a storyline about how Susan's a capella group is lacking funding and has to shut down. Susan is frustrated at this, and sets up a fundraiser.
Howard-An anti-social singer. Annabelle would notice him in the first episode and Howard would turn her away. In the second episode, Annabelle tries to recruit John to help him, but John is busy with touring. In the fourth episode, Annabelle talks to Clara and Howard admits that he has a controlling sister who always physically hurts him before Clara can talk to him. For the rest of the season, Annabelle, Clara, and Howard try to get on the good side of Howard's sister Dana. On the third to last episode, Clara gets beaten up by Dana, and Isaac becomes friends with Howard. On the last episode, Howard is no longer afraid of Dana and talks to Parker about her.
Yvette-A singer/songwriter who finds Isaac as an easy target and bullies him. Isaac is very worried about how other people will treat him until he talks to Clara about Yvette near the end of the season. Clara talks to Mr. T, and on the last episode, Yvette gets kicked out of Lost and Found.

Also a couple of the new characters could potentially be the siblings/friends or family members of people on the next step ie another of one james’ sisters (it was mentioned he had 3) or maybe richelles sibling who is really chilled and relaxed and the opposite to her? It would be interesting to then have main tns characters such as piper and richelle have a couple of scenes in lost and found
Also mockingariana3 I think Clara should make a song on her mental health that would be interesting and also want her to sing a duet with Isaac and the band.
i think it’d be nice to see that Clara is getting professional help, whether that’s by her making a phone call to her doctor or even seeing her with Giselle at therapy

i think that "if i were to remake season 4" would be a really good video idea! Since you could talk about implementing the new characters and re-do all the plot points but keep the a-troupe as it is i would really love your thoughts on it!

I kind of agree. However, I think that it would have to start from scratch, because:
1. Season 4 had too many episodes.
2. There were episodes filled with unnecessary plotlines.
there was a small story line to Nate- that thing where he liked Rachel and she told him to come back in 2 years
So potentially then that could be his storyline, but I just don't feel like he was looked into enough 😕

I thought that because they will all look different and a lot older now, this could happen in episode 1 and maybe go into episode 2
After all the years they all had gone all of them had been sent on tour. Luke, John James and Theo came back to thank everyone who helped her but nobody was there except Parker and Mr T packing up boxes, they explain that a few weeks ago they got shut down because it wasn’t very popular anymore. Everyone had forgot about the place, nobody came to audition, nobody had been watching there videos on the web and they didn’t have enough money to keep it running. But they looked at the rose room, it was a great environment that had inspired them and they didn’t want to see it put to no use so they reached out to everyone who had gone on tour aswell. Most of the cast came back and had a reunion we get told everything that has been going on. Like Clara’s anxiety and all the things that were left on a cliff hanger. So after the reunion they go door to door, comment on youtubers singing videos and tell them all about the inspiring place. When they get enough people there is a grand reopening. Since everyone has been on tour they can’t continue at lost and found but still hang around the studio and sometimes help out the new people!
Mary's storyline in your season 3 >>>>>>>>>> Honestly the only ones I'd personally alter are John's ( and Michelle's) and Tully's.
John and Michelle realise she's broken a pretty big boundary of his at the end of season 2 and they end up being confidantes rather than diving into a relationship (which fits more with Michelle's TNS characterisation as one of the earliest things she did was respect that Emily didn't want a hug; Michelle being accepting of people's boundaries --similar thing with Chloe etc, is one of her character strengths and I'm sad that L&F just threw it in the bin), likewise Michelle could realise there were some crossed wires between the way she, John and Emily first met (even if nothing came of that).... And for Tully: something to do with the reallocation of police funds to public mental health and Black therapists; maybe he even becomes a mentor to someone who was once like him (they're a trial area that's suspended(? idk) their police force)

I didn't enjoy it when I first watched it but I'm watching it back and I'm actually quite enjoying it, its definitely better than season 7.
There are parts I dislike but altogether it's quite enjoyable for me apart from 100 percent club and Alfie or whatever I didnt like any of their scenes.
I enjoyed some aspects of it. I expected season 4 to be a rebuilding year, with a lot of new faces, growing pains, and mistakes made. When everyone experiences growing pains and makes mistakes simultaneously, it is cringy, but that's reality. If that was the season TNS would fail to win, it frees the writers to explore different story lines, and story lines that lead to failure. With it being the longest season by far (40 episodes) so the story lines needed to be stretched out, with tangents taken, and filler.
Honestly I do really wish Lost and Found had a season 3 because the show was so entertaining and had a lot of potential and was honestly sometimes better than the next step so yes I want a season 3 and also it is way way more mature than the next step

Hi Alesha! I wanted to recommend you a canadian show on Netflix (if you haven’t watched it yet) where the actor Eva (Ella Farlinger) from Lost and Found appears. It’s ANNE WITH AN E, it’s such a great show and it’s based on the late 1800s. There’s important life lessons on it. It talks about racism, LGBTQ+, human rights, freedom of speech, feminism and many more.
I encourage everyone to watch it because it deserves more recognition
before I forget again, I had an idea for the what if series! what if Michelle’s dream was to buy the studio with Emily, rather than becoming a professional dancer? Things like nationals would happen, since nick wouldnt be there, right? eg.
