I have been living in Singapore since 17 years. Its a role model country. People are law obedient and disciplined. Nobody throws garbage on roads, or spits on roads. Nobody dirties the parks,everybody ques up whether to board a bus or train. Civic sense is high among Singaporeans. All rain water is neatly channelled into reservoir where it is purified and reused for public.Molestation is punishable by can8ng and imprisonment. Drug peddling is punished by death penalty, capital punishment. Roads are well maintained. Every single cirozen has roof of their own. They are patriots and show their patriotism by progressive actions. Unlike us Indians who only sing national anthem and flag hoisting,but break all yhe laws in the country.

1. He's pragmatic, started the journey by uniting its citizens, providing basic facilities to all people like education,
2. He worked smarter not harder. Kept tab on every growing industries and technology and to maximize better job for citizens.
3. He believed in capitalism. Not lived in Silo, partnered with other countries, foreign companies to maximize the benefit of capitalization, and industrialization.
4. He's a long term thinker. Attracted multitude of industries and companies by waiving/reducing the tax for few years.
5. He's a dreamer. Singapore didn't have natural resource, have no support of any countries. But who cares, with proper planning and great work ethic he proved to the world - Anything is Possible if you dedicate yourself to it.
6. Also he's a failed dictator. As we can see in the process of Singapore rejuvenation he prioritized companies welfare over it's own people. But it worked out for good because being super strict is the only quickest way to achieve good times.

I am a merchant navy officer from India and have cleared my MPA (maritime and Port authority ) licence from singapore 🇸🇬 government instead of my home country and my experience of studying and giving government exams there was wonderful its best in the world in terms of Shipping i must say . The prices of milk and grocery were same as it was in 2015 compared to last year 2023 no change see how stable it is and now within a week i am again going to singapore in march 2024 to clear my final top most exams for becoming chief engineer of ship and excited visit again. Love singapore literally safest country no racisim ,clean and lot of greenary .

Have been living in Singapore for the past 20 years. I think all of us are staying in a utopian world at least for the people who can afford it. Have never loved a statesman more then Lee Kuan Yew. Singapore needs to be on gaurd now as the rich vs poor divide is really significant and growing. Schooling and uni is one of the best in the world but extremely stressful. I visited Singapore in 2010 as an 8 year old. I was totally mesmerized by the city and the amazing local people I met. Also big culture shock was that chewing gums are banned in the country since 2004 and i really used to like chewing gums a lot. Then I read about the reason why it is banned. Which was amazing. I do know this country is expensive that time too it was. But the way they approach towards environmental issues, racism laws , cleanliness is commendable and the community is vibrant public transport is really good i would love to visit Singapore again. And this video is really well researched. Amazing video

I wouldn’t blame the population even before I knew that Singapores population density per square kilometer is a lot more than India’s population density population is not that important it doesn’t determine if a country can be developed or not it doesn’t tell you how developed a country can be. It depends on the quality of the leader things being efficient, based on merit good administration good governance, and a government that thinks long term doesn’t think about it being re elected and its own personal agenda for the politicians, there should also be zero tolerance for corruption no tolerance for corruption. In India half of the politicians and ministers are corrupt and inefficient and they swindle money, Congress was in power for such a long time in India and they didn’t do that much. In India there is lack of vision corruption bad political system and inefficiency bad administration bad governance poor planning a lot of red Tapism it’s very disappointing that India is still a developing country third world country they can’t do anything right in India they also can’t make good drainage systems . I wish India was a developed country first world country, but it’s not. It should take a country 20 25 30 40 or 50 years to become a developed country not longer than that. It’s been 77 years since India got independence. In India there are some good politicians and ministers like Modi ji Narendra modi, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Yogi Adityanath, Amit Shah, but half of the politicians and ministers are corrupt and inefficient in India that is a big problem. India should learn from developed countries first world countries like Singapore. The core should be focused on which is people’s unity and zero corruption.
When i was visiting singapore i met a guide there who was born in 1962 he told me what a transformation their country went through. Such a small country where it takes only 24 hrs by walk to reach from one end to another end of the country they managed to do so much. Let me tell u some amazing facts.
1. The provident fund system is so amazing that our guide even though retired was being a guide just to pass his time. His house was paid for he had two incomes from govt and his own guide income.
2. Singapore wanted to create a sustainable city with no problem of pollution hence the govt encourages people to use their subway and buses. Which are quite cheap to the public residing there. Also they put a heavy tax on purchase of a car. A mere honda city which goes for 11-16 lakhs in india costs around 72 lakhs in Singapore.
3. The rules for polluting are so strict that if you are caught even smoking outside alloted smoking zones there is a huge penalty, i mean while coming from Malaysia i accidentally brought my vape pen (which are banned in SG) they found it in my bag during immigration checkup. They made me discard it giving me just a warning and told me the fine for just having a vape in the country was around 12 lakh rupees converted. 😂
4. Singapore doesn't have a single river or fresh water source, which Malaysia has plenty of. So they made a barter pact. Singapore built sophisticated water purification industry. So all water is imported via pipes from Malaysia purified in Singapore and is sent back while singapore keeps its share.
5. While Malaysia didn't want singapore to be a part of their country, today lakhs of people of Malaysia have a daily work visa that cross the border into singapore for work and travel back end of the day, these are generally labour intensive jobs.
6. The reason why there's no corruption in Singapore is because the civil servants there receive high salaries. For eg the PM.'s salary is probably more than the CEO of Coca-Cola. When you already getting a ridiculously high salary one might not even think about more money.
7. They have conserved forest regions so well that chopping off any tree is not allowed. They have made bird and animal sanctuaries in impossible conditions and attract tourism.
8. People are very busy there so services like renting a bus or tour guide is done on hourly payment. If you rent or book a guide for one hour you have to be there on time or else the bus will wait for particular hour and leave.
9. Everything in Singapore is imported (including the animals and birds there) so don't even think about buying something coz it's probably imported from your country and is much cheaper back home. So forget shopping there. 😂
10. SG has the world's most expensive property on which they have built a 5 star or more level hotel The Marina Bay Sands.
11. Bonus - when asked which country do you keep good relations with? I thought since there is a chinese population, it might be china. 😂 He laughed and said we befriend only those countries which benefit our nation. If the country stops getting benefit then relations over. (i mean every country does the same but these people are very business minded about it)
