#GHOSTIN A good friend had a sugar bear front end it rolled like a dream so I know how good sugar bear really was I'm making a front end if God made a better Springer he kept it for himself
That's crazy I never knew two brothas built the easyrider bikes these two men really created something legendary in the MC culture and deserve to be immortalized
Absolutely love this video Sose. Yes, it was a shame that times and people were like this back in the day. I was born in 1959 and my Father had be in the Airforce for 8 years, during the Korean war. He had seen alot and met alot of good people while serving. He taught me to respect all people, no matter what ethic or nationality. Alot of people stole the ideas of some amazing artist and presented it as their ideas. People say Elvis was the Father of Rock and Roll. Nah, Chuck Berry was, there are many other stories just like this. So glad this generation is finding out who were the real heroes and original artist were. Thank you Sose for bring this light.
The black bike set is full of history. I myself am a black biker, and I’ve met some of the OGs here in my state. I actually had the privilege to meet some of the Outcast OGs.
Good work homie! I belong to The Dirty Ones MC, a one percenter club. We began in Brooklyn, NY as a street organisation in the early 60's and became an MC in 1968. We are one of the oldest mixed race 1% clubs in the nation. It's good to see you spread the knowledge on clubs that allow all races to prospect. Peace Ghost #KruAli #KnowledgeDO
Well there's Thunder Guards,Dirty One's,Chosen Few,Sin City and a few others. The only ALL BLACK diamond club, that i know of is OUTCAST MC. Woulda been nice of a mention.
I respect the guys for doing what they love. However, I don't understand The East Bay Dragons associating with hell's angels a club that was known for their racism towards black people. The Dragons were known for buying their Harley's second hand because the company didn't want to sell bikes to blacks. The Dragons should have put their money towards another motorcycle maker and not the one that rejects them.
My panhead has had several front ends since I first built in the very early 80s but when I got my hands on a Sugar Bear springer in ‘97 and put it in the bike I’ve never looked back. Also, I’d heard of the Cali all-black clubs and you’d referenced them in an earlier video about motorcycle magazines. What I hadn’t known anything about was Bessie; what an amazing story! Going to be doing some digging of my on and really hope that someone somewhere wrote a biography of her incredible journey through life. An autobiography would be best if all! Thanks for another great video and more knowledge!
I grew up in Oakland and the Dragons and Zodiacs have always had a lot of respect from the community. You could go to an even thrown by the Dragons and know you were safe, because they didn’t play! Souls on Bikes is a good book written by one of their founders. EBD’s, part of Bay Area history.
Those mixed clubs had to be very strong in those early days. They to fight the white clubs and the black club. I was bartending at the Robinhood Saloon in the mid 70’s. And three members of the Chosen Few came in one night. They were the most respectful customers that I ever served. They had some great stories to share.
I'm surprised you didnt include Outcast. They are the oldest ALL BLACK 1% MC. Definitely deserves a mention when talking Black Biker History. Loved that Bessie made the cut. She is a legend!
from a mixed raced club im excited to watch this one .. from my view If you can get down you can stay down period .. Ghost another badass video man keep it up
I’m from East Oakland, CA and my mom used to be at the East Bay Dragons tough and ran with some of the other Black MC’s in the early to mid-80’s like the Soul Brothers, The Zodiacs, and The Wicked Wheels
Dude!. Great work on this. So much more can be done and said here but I give you massive props for educating us on this. Would love to learn more about black MCs, please don't let this be a one off.

#GHOSTIN Sose, youre the man ! being a mixed biker myself it means a lot to see you giving more light to the history of mixed/black builders, clubs, n heavyweights. thanks for always keepin it real n outlaw !
Been waiting for this! The “black” MC set is rooted in history but rarely put in the spotlight and given its due credit! It’s always been my personal opinion that if you truly love the MC culture, you’ll make it a point to learn about it all, not just your own shit 💯✊🏽
This is why i watch your channel. You cover all topics of all races and creeds and shed light on unsung black heroes of M.C. culture. Continue to spread knowledge and wisdom on bikers that paved the way for folks like us to enjoy it today. #Ghostin 🖤✊🏿👨🏿🦱👩🏿🦱🏍🛣
#GHOSTIN....Once again you share a part of history that deserves to be spoken and praised about! Love learning new things and every time I tune in you drop a knowledge bomb!!
This was amazing! I always wondered where captain America came from. That bike is my kinda bike. Never been into the bagger style. I use leather soft bags on mine. And Betty, you go girl good for you and your triumphs at that time over race and stereotypes! God this one sent chills down my spine! Great piece of work putting this together!
Thanks for shouting out the few brother and having facts about our club. And also EB and the other black bikers. A lot of people don’t realize these clubs been around for a very long time during segregation, Jim Crow there’s a lot of history
Good video. Brought back some fine memories from a lifetime ago partying with Chosen Few. Even got a card from a member willing to sponsor me during a 3-day Sequioa National Forest run and camping party. If not for a prior commitment to the military I would've prospected. Thank you, Demons Row, for posting this video.
Police harassment has seemed to create more gangs than any factor. Lol. Yo thank you for posting this! I stumbled here and was floored. I had NO idea these MCs existed, but I did know Black people rode motorcycles more than you see in popular media. Content like this is why the internet is so great. So that these amazing unique individuals history isn't lost and can live on and spread for generations to come. Thanks again! I'm gonna check out some more of this channel.
Outstanding information. Didn't know that about the "Chosen Few". Good to hear Sugar Bears son is working along side his Dad keeping the best ever made chopper front end rollin.
Thanks for doing this video. I was a member of Chosen Few MC and there is a multitude of history that needs to be brought to light. CF Boss Mike 1%er was the unofficial historian of Chosen Few MC and his garage held many artifacts and historical items worthy of speaking on. He has left this earth, but if you reach out to current CF members, you might be able to get more history from them. I am proud of my time with them and cherish every moment. Again, I am a former member and will never speak on club business, but if you would like more history, reach out to them. Theyre all a bunch of good brothers and easily approachable. SYLCF!
Wow, this was the best, most shocking episode I have seen on this channel, My dad was a Berkley Tiger, he was featured on the Harley Davison web site about 15 years ago, his patched jacket is in the Harley Davidson museum, i grew up around bay area black bikers and I never heard any of this.
I just want to say thank you for everything that you do! I just found your page not even a day ago and am already consuming so much valued information through your channel!!! As a new fellow aspiring young black rider I thank you man and keep doing what your doing🔥
Thank you for doing this show on black bikers. I'm not a rider but I like listening to your show and I learned so much on this episode as well as all of your episode.
When I was young HD wouldn't sell new models to Australian bikers. We could only get outgoing models at one point. So our "new" bikes were models that didn't sell so well or were being cleared out to make room for new ones in the USA. Some of the boys I rode with tried to go to the USA and buy bikes to ride around over there then import them back home when they finished their trips. Dealers would only sell them if they signed a contract saying they would sell them back to a dealer in the USA before returning home.
Yooooo!!!! God bless your soul for having enough BALLS!! TO post this video I'm 52 and had no idea these people existed. Ghost I luv u brother, if you ever ,ever come to Orlando I gotchu and everything I gotchu , you reinspired my passion for biking. My man 4 life!!!
Wow just happened to run across your video and immediately subscrbed to the channel. I had a few friends back in 1971 that were members of the Chosen Few in Los Angeles. Back then the CB750 was king on the streets and I had one. A mechanic named Freddy had a shop on Manchester Blvd that helped me build a ridged frame 750. Right now I'm 69 years old and am in the process of rebuilding another CB750 chopper to celebrate those days. looking forward to more history and stories thanks for your time and commitment to his subject.

The outcasts were they on Hawthorne Avenue in East Orange or was that Hawthorne Avenue in Newark
Yea he left out Outcast 🖤
Lmao! There's no history of "black bikers". It's all blackwashs.
The only Outcast I know was there once a Hawthorne Avenue in Newark New Jersey
Thank you for this episode. I had the honor and privilege to get to know and hang out with the Chosen Few when I was in the US. Shoutout from Germany!
