I am deathly allergic to Hornets and wasps, so I have always hated them. However, since watching your channel, I have gained a whole new understanding and respect for the little busy workers. Thanks so much for your great videos
There is nothing to respect about these monsters. They serve NO propose and only destroy the environment. They should be wiped out to complete extinction as they don't do any good and only hurt the planet.
When I was a kid in Florida, we had a Brazilian pepper tree in our yard. It's an invasive species that attracts a lot of flies, bees. wasps, and other insects when it flowers. I used to catch some of the wasps in a jar and put them in the fridge so I could look at them really closely after a few minutes, then I'd let them go. This reminded me of that. You've got a cool system of relocation.
Holy cannoli, that second nest went from Ground Zero to DEFCON 10 in about five seconds. Once again, you’re one brave dude, beekeeper’s suit notwithstanding!
Cool video! It’s neat to see how the different species build there nests and how different wasps are within their species. A month ago I noticed a nest being built in my machine shed and I have let it grow just to see how big they would build it and as of today it is the size of a basketball with a large funnel stuck to the bottom. I have even sat and watched them build on the nest (from a safe distance because I am allergic to bee and wasp stings) and it is impressive how fast they can add on to the outside of the nest. It is also impressive how precisely round and they are able to build and just how many yellow jackets are in the colony now. I think they are German yellow jackets, but I am not a 100 percent sure. Thank you for sharing all the information on wasps. I have learned so much about wasps and how to actually appreciate their existence and that they are an important part of the ecosystem.
I throughly enjoyed watching that squirrel bouncing around as you talked "squirrel " to him/her. Your tone and gentle hands have melted that squirrels defenses. I imagine some yummy wasp larve is a staple in lil squirrels diet. I'm grateful i don't have wasps this year, previous years, they've built nests in my shed & garage. This year i created habitat for bumblebees and i also noticed a big carpenter bee chewed a new home in an old 2"×8"×6' wooden plank we had proped against our house. I left it alone so the bees can do their thing. Great content
I have been watching you for a while and oh man, your content is entertaining and educational. Ive learned a lot from watching you. Even if im scared shitless of wasp, bees and hornets, ive really enjoyed watching you. Also that squirl had so so much energy. Keep it up man.
What does your family and neighbors think about all those bald faced hornets in the yard? I would be afraid the family would get stung and feel horrible!
I just loved the "spring-loaded" squirrel ❤. On the other hand, the sound of the hornets swarming and pinging off of the camera gave me the creeps! I'm deathly afraid of nearly all kinds of wasps, which is why I love your channel-I've learned so much! I no longer run from the room if there's a mud dauber wasp in it. I get my boyfriend to come catch it and release it outside. Thank you, Hornet King!😊
That is a deadly combo, hornets making their nest surrounded by poison ivy thinking they’d be untouched forever!!! The hornet king has gained my utmost respect.
Nice relocations! It's great you are so gentle with these wasps. What a happy squirrel! Good to see some of your birdies but I did miss seeing them enjoy their snacks, but I understand that you tried to save as many as you could. Hopefully, we will get to see some eating action next time. Always interesting!
Why did he relocate these evil monsters? The fact he is trying to hurt people by not killing these things means he needs to be arrested and jailed for life.
@@robertsears8323 I sure hope this was a joke comment because if not you really need to educate yourself. Wasps and hornets still pollinate flowers like any other insect in the bee/wasp/hornet family (idk what its called specifically) however they just don’t do it as efficiently as a bee does. Ive seen MANY wasps on flowers, which means they are collecting that pollen and distributing just the same. All creatures serve a purpose on mother earth, so don’t call them evil monsters. And this guy is just making sure these beautiful creatures don’t die out and put this world to doom.
Wow, what a great job you did, relocating those nests! How many have you relocated this year? That squirrel is the funniest thing I've ever seen! I love the new T-shirts you have. Can't wait for payday! Thanks for entertaining us so much! 🤩
Holy moly that first removal! Wowie wow you are one brave dude. There’s no way I would’ve had the cojones to reach up and put a nest in a jar. Good on you dude.
Hello Mr. Hornet King 😉, nice pollinator nest relocations. It's not a habit for insect repellents. I share this state of mind with you as well as the way of doing things. Many thanks for sharing this video. Keep it up and good luck! Phil from Dordogne FRANCE 😉
Your last video I inquired how you attach the relocated nests from trees or shrubs, thanks for showing the footage of how you do those in this clip! As much as I've always feared especially ground yellow jackets, I have always understood they're an important part of the ecosystem/food chain as well. It's great to see the time lapse footage of how they add on etc also. Keep up the great videos and educating folks like myself that didn't 100% understand them prior.
How can you respect a evil bug that only exist to destroy everything? They do no good to anything so they need to be made extinct. And because of this mans evil actions he needs to be shot.
You read my mind on having me hear the buzzing and swarming of the bald faced hornets i look forward to seeing the relocation of the german yellow jacket nest. Best regards Nikita.K
Cool! Can you imagine if a thief came along and tried to break into your house....they wouldn't get very far before being attacked by all your wasps nests! What a cool defence! Love that squirrel, is that weird sporadic jumping behaviour normal? I've never seen a squirrel jumping like that, it's like he's got electricity up his bum! 🙂❤
Bald Faced hornets..my favorites!! Amazing relocations Brett..that’s why you are the king! That is one squirrelly squirrel! 😂 Thanks for another great video. 🥰 What about your other merchandise like your mugs and tote bags?
I have a white faced hornets nest on the side of my house about six feet away from a window that is always open this time of years so that the cats can go in and out as they please. Only two of them have actually come into the house as far as i know. One of them died on a kitchen counter, and am not sure why. The other one i thought was dead floating in a bowl filled with water in the sink. I scooped it out with a spoon and noticed it was still alive. I could have just washed it down the sink, but decided to just toss it out the window where it could possibly recover and rejoin the hive. If it has any intelligence it will know that coming in the house is not the safest place to go. That nest has been there for a few weeks, but i just noticed it a couple days ago. I am out there frequently doing yard work and hanging out with the cats. I have never even seen any of the hornets fly anywhere near me. So far, i have been leaving them alone and they have been leaving me and the cats alone. They have been doing their thing which is probably hunting other bugs in my yard and working on their hive. At this point, i am not really sure what i will do about it.
I've always loved the bald-faced hornets for some reason. There's just something about them that makes them unique, such as how they dive bomb and headbutt the target before going back to the nest. They're probably one of the hornets/wasps that's not as sensitive to someone's presence.
You should take a couple of those old nest pieces when you go on a job. You could poke your vacuum hose through a hole to make the foragers think they are just flying into the nest. ☮️
I was hoping you would do a Horny King shirt. 😊It is encouraging to see that people want nests relocated. It's awesome that you are willing and able to do that. Thank you for showing those amazing nests. Stay safe, and God bless.
get a piece or carboard make a tiny newspaper and glue it to the outside, then coat the inside with peanut butter, that way when you drink your coffee and read the paper the squirrel reads his paper...lol Keep up the video's
Lol I never noticed the crown in the eyes on your logo.I would love a shirt with just the front graphic and a blank back if you make any changes for future runs
I've got a european wasp hive in my tree at the front of my home. As long as I walk past them and don't stop to look at them, they just fly by most of the time.
They are fast rebuilders for sure! Wish I had a nest, outside my yard, nearby that would help take care of these little web worms that affect my shade master locust trees.
Did you leave that Squirrel a bowl of Espresso in the morning?? Wow! What a happy critter. All that energy. He really trusts you.
Espresso!?! I don’t think so. I think that squirrel’s on drugs!
Yes 😂
I think it is his first day of being a squirrel.
It's a tame one
Again he did three hornets relocate
