Hello Adorable Trundlers, Keith & Tina - what an spectacular thumbnail!!! A beautiful walk indeed and yes, I can see the appeal of the Confederation Trail vs secondary highways and it is great to see you roll up your socks over your pants to avoid ticks. The views were magnificent and if I have not said it before, you do a great job with Hedgewick which allowed us good views over the oyster farms. As to going back to the stretch you had done initially, it is all good and you have the reverse perspective but the challenge of the ever changing weather putting on/taking off rain gear (thank you for the name of yours) I always find it annoying, but kudos to you for maintaining your sunny disposition and your smiles🥰🥰🥰

Oh yeah Aida, although there’s no Lyme disease here, we still didn’t want any ticks 😬. For the record we’ve never had one. Hedders has done a great job on this adventure and we’re so glad we brought him. Although he’s not so Chonky himself, only 249g, when you add the controller, spare batteries, carry case etc, he’s probably a good kg. So not insubstantial. But he’s worth every gram for sure ❤️. So glad you always enjoy the videos. We’re very much looking forward to meeting you one day when we’re heading in your direction. We’d love to come and meet The Chapter ❤️🇨🇦

Beautiful drone footage once again! It's unfortunate that this section does involve retracing your steps for awhile, but it is interesting to see the small changes since the first pass thru. You won't offend locals by saying some people drive too fast here because we know most unfortunately do.

LOL some people are in a hurry for sure. However we have to say that 99% will move right over or slow down if that’s not possible, which is great and very much appreciated 😅. In theory Hedwig can go 10 km, and then still be able to return. However line of sight to the signal, wind etc reduces that usually. But certainly a few km is no issue. He’s a trooper and really pulls his weight. Really glad you’re enjoying his work 👍🏼❤️🙏🏼

Well another interesting video...I really liked the drone video coverage over the water...great views! How far can your drone fly ahead of you? I thought you had taken a wrong when you went up the trail, with tall grass.

Hi Matilda 👋🏼 We thought we’d responded to this ages ago but apparently not 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♀️. In theory, Hedders has a max range of 20 km. However in practice it’s a lot less than that. Line of sight to the controller is usually the biggest issue with trees etc reducing the signal. We rarely send him more than about 3 km max. But he’s a smart little guy too, thankfully, and if he loses signal he will come back and land where he took off. Water shoots, or low level water shoots are more tricky as reflection etc can get him a bit confused and he’s not always a 100% sure of how far above the water he is 😬😂. LOL yes, 99% of the trail is well maintained. Only a very small bit has ever been overgrown a little 👍🏼
