  • @jtotheroc
    @jtotheroc 3 роки тому +18

    So in order to do the anti grav lean, you need two things. First one is the speciality shoe that has the triangle slot, the second is the metal peg that pops up into said triangular slot when you stand on top of it. You then need to teach your body to balance correctly while doing the lean, that is, unless you're ultimate plan is to faceplant on the floor. A couple covers have been made with mature dancers getting ahold of the shoes and the metal peg and performing the lean, and even though they are able to pull it off, if you focus on their faces, you'll see that some are grimacing in pain. The best example on UA-cam is the video titled "My Smooth Criminal Performance".

      No this is not correct, MJ used the special shoes and the floor spikes in exactly the same way as he did during dangerous and history tours. If u look hard enough on the 1988 video u can actually see the spikes popping back under the floor. The wires theory was only a myth. The patent came in 1993 to make it that - a patent. Not used during the Bad tour 87/88 due to stage floor not being ready hence not used on Bad tour although theoretically could of been if ready. Complex floor design under floor and not seen was the other part of the illusion!

    ACTUALLY, in the video for Smooth Criminal, they used wires to help accomplish the lean. It wasn't until the early 90's when MJ went on the Dangerous Tour that he invented the shoes. AND, the shoes actually have more than just the notch that hooks in the stage. The shoe goes up a lot further on the foot than a regular shoe. It also has straps rather than laces, this makes it a lot easier to do the lean, than come back up.

    Growing up my assumption was that Michael was wearing magnet 🧲 shoes! Why did I assume that? It’s because that’s what my dad told me as a kid. He showed me UA-cam videos when I was ten years old of Michael Jackson dancing; doing the Moonwalk and other of his signature dance moves. In the video when Michael did his 45 degree anti-gravity lean move I was both amazed and wondering how is he doing that and my dad said he wearing magnet 🧲 shoes

  • @ironcito1101
    @ironcito1101 6 місяців тому

    If the shoes are anchored to the floor, they could make a shin support that's sort of springy so it holds some of the dancer's weight as they lean and helps them get back to vertical. It could all be hidden under the pants, and could be made to be comfortable and light enough to allow them to continue dancing. The hard part is the anchoring, getting it to be concealed, and attaching/detaching the shoes unnoticed.

    Michael worked out alot you have to have a strong core and your back muscles have to be very strong plus you can feel the calf muscles pulling when you lean i know that hurts.

    So they have to buy a special stage or prep a normal one as well as buy special made shoes to pull this off?

    So far, very few machines have been invented to improve the strength of the Achilles tendon.A great way to strengthen the ligament is Michael Jackson's anti-gravity tilt in special shoes with a pre-fixed sole to the floor.
    Anti-Gravity Lean. Science Explains.
    In this position, the foot becomes the fulcrum, and the center of gravity shifts towards the Achilles tendon. Thus, the whole body and gravitational load force the tendon to effectively tense, keeping the body in position at a 45 degree angle.
    Everything is Possible.
    Previously, it was believed that such a tilt was impossible, and few people could exercise it. However, if you look at Michael Jackson's shoes as a simulator and not shoes for a show, we get a very powerful simulator for Achilles tendon . Which everyone can use at home. For unprepared joints and ligaments of the lower extremities, the simulator can be dangerous and lead to injuries. However, if you approach this idea with common sense, you can expand the capabilities of our largest tendon in the human body

    With contemporary musicians, who would have invented such shoes to achieve the anti- gravity move. Most of today's muscians are not creavity enough. Micheal Jackson was and still will be in his own League.

    I wonder why he did his first lean side ways with his right foot turned but in his other leans his feet was in the right position.

    It’s cause his heel comes up inside the shoe so the Achilles is not stretched like she described. Think of ski boots that are slightly too big.
