He is better than Vicario. He thinks fast and has the courage of his convictions to execute what he wants to do. He doesn’t hesitate. He is a metronome and can set the tone for the team to play fast. That is what AngeBall needs, players that want to play fast and catch the opponent off guard.
I don’t want to be unnecessarily critical, but as a goalkeeper (plus I was at the stadium for those home matches), I know that the shots in the Europa League were incredibly well-placed and powerful. Džeko’s shot went straight into the top corner from the edge of that area and to the near post - it was unstoppable. Then there was a shot from outside the penalty area into the corner. It’s not clear on your video, but again, the power and placement were insane. That was an unstoppable shot, so saying it might have been saveable is nonsense.
7:45, every keeper is anticipating a dive here. It's actually the terrible accuracy by the attacker which fools him. MAYBE a reaction save should've been made, but its not a clear-cut error in my opinion.
The guy is 21. Most gk don't hit their peak until late 20's so, yea, the reaction to him is a little OTT but he will fix those minor issues with experience.
This is an interesting one. You definitely want your better passer for the games in which you're going to be pressed high. But then typically those are the games against the best teams and that's where Vicario's shot stopping can really change a result.
I think kinski looks much more robust than vicario and will not be bullied as much set set pieces. Think this was a shrewd purchase giving us 2 good young keepers. Feel a bit sorry for Austin. Gets a chance due to injuries has a decent game and it's now 4th choice keeper.
Imo he has the ability that english media seems to think Jordan Pickford has (especially before major international tournaments in the past 5 years), and tbf he does have this on occasion, but seems to lack the consistency to perform to that level for more than a half in these types of high pressure situations. I also think his league performances and their impact are overstated, even while he played a big part in avoiding relegation He also, can play the ball accurately to the wings which Ive never seen from pickford and from what he showed against Liverpool, can also organize his defense better even in his first appearance in England
Once Vicario is fit, Spurs will have to decide between one of the best shot stoppers out there (Vicario) or potentially one of the best ball playing keepers (Kinsky). Not an easy decision but if Ange is open to rotating them, they can be used at the right time in the right matches.
Great stuff Nathan, he’s unreal for a 21 year old keeper - plenty of scope to iron out some of the technical things. And it’s N-i-co Williams, not N-ee-co, bug bear of mine 😅
Vicario spent last season flapping about on corners and costing us games and hasn't seemed to improve on that this season this is the added pressure he needs to focus on his weaknesses. I think Ange will stick with Vicario for now cause he seems very hierarchy influenced but next season there will be a big discussion of Vic continues to be a mess on corners.
Agree he's a huge prospect but feel it's too soon to judge after just one appearance in a Spurs shirt. One or two mistakes leading to a defeat and things might look a little different. Imv we need to see him over a period of time at EPL level in order to form a more measured view.
First, the Czech League is not a Sunday league. Even though Slavia have only 4 points from 6 EL matches, check the stats of the games - a dominating display, which means that the GK is very focused and able to create essential saves after a long period where he wasn't needed. Will this be the same in Tottenham? Slavia is dominant and always on the ball. Is Tottenham also like this? This might be the real challenge for the GK - not that he comes from the "Czech League" but that he is coming from a dominant team to an average PL team considering ball possession.
Very exciting but a bit early to pile in so much expectation, he'll no doubt face more close contact shots and he needs to be able to adapt like every young player new to the PL - but very exciting, thanks Nathan
Stats from the Czech league are secret??? I actually don’t know how that’s even possible. Surely you could have just copied the numbers into a spreadsheet and displayed them 🤷🏼♂️ the data management software might not be shareable but no one owns the knowledge of his save percentage… It also feels like you’ve put the clips together and then figured out what you’re going to say live rather than doing the analysis and sharing your findings. I know I’ll get slated for daring to point this out because people think you’re only allowed to say ‘well done’ but I have my own business and I specifically ask for my customers negative feedback so I can understand where I can improve, I hope this feedback helps you too because I also agree with all the positive comments you’ve had, great potential for your channel and you’ve got a follow from me 🙌🏻
Don't think people here realise that Vicaro has made almost ZERO positional/shot stopping errors since he joined Spurs. That's an insane level of shot stopping. People can talk about corners, set pieces all day because they're not very smart - "Arsenal" MMA corners have to do with DEFENDERS more than GOALKEEPERS. Kinsky is way better with his feet but he is a lot worse when it comes to shot stopping. It's a good combo of GKs to have.
This. I don't think i've watched a keeper save more 1v1's than Vicario. But, the question now will be, do we want a keeper who is an incredible shot stopper, or a keeper with incredible foot skills. Only Ange can answer that.
Vicario looks shakey on corners regardless if the opposition score or not and it's more than just against Arsenal. The gap between Vicario and Kinsky distribution is higher than the gap between their shot stopping imo.
@@thestrika You can't even read. I wasn't highlighting a particular game. I'm saying those MMA style corners are exclusive to England. I watch many, many other leagues, and every league would have EVERY single corner considered a foul. This was all started by Arsenal, of course, who started fouling keepers and getting away with it. The PL will go back on their decision and we will no longer have wrestling in the box in a season or two.

I think this video shows that Vicario is still Spurs best keeper and that people have been getting carried away with Kinsky. I think Tonda is great with the ball, I love to see that element of his game. But he seems to need work on positioning and shot stopping whereas Vicario is a great shot stopper.
Yet Vicario can't deal with corners or set pieces... personally think they should sell Vicario and grab Khellar from Liverpool. Khellar and kinsky would be better combination
in slavia people do know very well what is all about, briliant scounting across the world cheap buy dear sale, and on top of it....be in + by the way diouf on the way to liverpool????
After the Liverpool game the Semifinal first leg !a back up keeper, hoever say ore think so ,mindset must be unreal .If he don't get the number one position, and Ange don't back him there , I don't see as with Spenc, Ange knows what's going on ; He should be no one .
He may turn out to be great, but the overreaction from you, and other Spurs fans after 1 game is a bit ridiculous. He looked confident on set pieces and calm with the ball at his feet but he didn't have to make too many saves. Fans have been very quick to forget just how good Vicario has been for us
Not sure what I like more, the analysis or the fact that there is a black market for stats on goalkeepers in the Czech league.
Oh wow. Glad I discovered this channel. Quality content and discussion. Haven't heard this depth in any of the other spurs pods

I just want the story behind the illicit Czech league goalkeeping data.
He and Vicario seem to have such different strengths. Could we rotate keepers depending on the opponents? Has that ever even been done?
I hope they bring out the best in one another.
This is an interesting one. You definitely want your better passer for the games in which you're going to be pressed high. But then typically those are the games against the best teams and that's where Vicario's shot stopping can really change a result.
Bringing vicario on late if a game is going to pens? Wonder what their respective penalty stats are.

Kinsky looks much better thatn Vicario. He must be a main player, not a back-up. His foot skills seemed the best even in epl.

Spurs already have enough home grow(nation) to play europa league. Spence, Johnson, Solanke, Maddison. Sarr is club grow.
Sarr does not and will never count as club trained for the purpose of European competition.
