Few points 1. Majority of Short Service Commission (SSC) officers are absorbed in military as Permanent Commission (PC) officers or otherwise well absorbed in civil life and doing very well. SSC scheme has been in vogue for the last many decades 2. There are valid observations in the video especially related to cultural fit in the Indian Army. Also an issue which is not covered in the video relates to operation related injury/ fatalities. As rightly said two people laying their life in the same combat situations for the nation can't be treated differently. 3. Similarly points related to highly technical or safety critical jobs of aviation, even specialized combat duties utilisation of Agneeveer remains a challenge and risky too. 4. Having said the above, there will be a substantial number who will be picked for permanent jobs in three services itself. There is very high possibility of them being the best among all 5. There are many support duties in three services which are inescapable. They can be effectively utilised in their initial tenure thus removing burden of similar duties on permanent ones or those who are highly trained. 6. No such decisions like CAA/ Agniveer etc. are either conceived by the politicians or approved without consulting multiple stakeholders like ministries and so on. To say that all those bureaucrats or military officers have just worked as rubber stamp is bit unbelievable. It also means that they must have found ways and worked out modalities to implement it in best feasible way. It also doesn't mean there will not be any problems or new challenges in the future. 7. Finance is an important issue in personal as well country's decision making. It doesn't run on emotions only. Your insights are correct Amit ji.I am myself wife of a Major who has served in Army and am also doctor of Ex-servicemen .All these are real issues seen when you serve in Army.I don't understand logic behind paise bacho scheme. Our defense system is complex which is designed after Britisher's left India any ammendment to be done requires thorough planning ,thinking about all the perspective. Joining army is lifetime commitment and pride you derive out of it is incomparable .Pension you are paid is for dedication and sacrifice .

But the main reason for Agniveer is to break the backbone of the local dominant castes/ethnicities so that their influence, prosperity, and values degrade further. This is knowingly done by the jealous thugs of a particular community through their puppet 'Lala' leaders. And there's nothing new about it. Those thugs have been systematically doing this for the last decade and their main targets have been Hindu Jats, Jat Sikhs, Rajputs, Marathas, and so on. Those cheap thugs never gave a damn about the national security.
Jats , Rajputs , Marathas , Sikhs etc.. Other martial race can understand what it is to serve country by getting recruited in the Army. These government needs to be taught a lesson. They simply can not ruin the system of Armed Forces. I am an Army veteran. They are doing the same with Short Service Commission officers since last 5 years. But no General or senior bureaucrat has spoken about it. With same terms and conditions, they are being denied the Permanent Commission. Army is loosing a trained Officer and. A soldier. Officers can get jobs in civil and they are getting good jobs and doing so well outside. But this is unfortunate that Army is not accepting them just because they have to show the money saved by not giving pension to officers. Gujaratis only understand the language of money. The top brass is just licking their boots because of the short term goals. I feel sad today that people of the country are loosing faith on the armed forces. Thanks to politicians and their short term agendas. Nation will suffer the loss.

Very recently many young boys from India were hired by Russian forces under the guise of a job, and when these boys reached Russia for work, they were directly sent to fight in the battlefield against Ukraine after the basic training of a few days! What do you expect? They got killed! These Indian boys who had nothing to do with Russia-Ukraine war, they were fighting for Russia! Why's Russia fooling people to fight for their own war? Because they are facing massive shortage of soldiers, of infantry, and that's why they are hiring ppl to fight their war by hook or by crook..... They simply can not ruin the system of Armed Forces.
I am an Army veteran. They are doing the same with Short Service Commission officers since last 5 years. But no General or senior bureaucrat has spoken about it. With same terms and conditions, they are being denied the Permanent Commission. Army is loosing a trained Officer and. A soldier. Officers can get jobs in civil and they are getting good jobs and doing so well outside. But this is unfortunate that Army is not accepting them just because they have to show the money saved by not giving pension to officers.
Gujaratis only understand the language of money. The top brass is just licking their boots because of the short term goals.
I feel sad today that people of the country are loosing faith on the armed forces.
Thanks to politicians and their short term agendas.

Very recently many young boys from India were hired by Russian forces under the guise of a job, and when these boys reached Russia for work, they were directly sent to fight in the battlefield against Ukraine after the basic training of a few days! What do you expect? They got killed! These Indian boys who had nothing to do with Russia-Ukraine war, they were fighting for Russia! Why's Russia fooling people to fight for their own war? Because they are facing massive shortage of soldiers, of infantry, and that's why they are hiring ppl to fight their war by hook or by crook..... Opposition could have raised this entire issue against the current government and used it very efficiently against agniveer scheme! Lekin pata nahi inko kyu samajh nahi ata? Aise opposition ki wajah se hi ye government aur bindaas hai....
