I just love how they're conversing in tagalog when both could have easily spoken in English to each other 😂 Just goes to show how appreciative both are of learning a language they didn't need to but wanted to out of passion of learning languages and it's culture 💕

In BGC bus ride around the area I was talking in English language to a man of different race, when he replied it was in Tagalog I was surprised he said he is Canadian and lives in the Philippines for many years already and has mastered the Tagalog language. Kaya careful don't ever cursed nor say bad words to foreigners maraming ng alam ang Tagalog btw there are many Spanish words in Tagalog language.
Dapat may respeto tayo sa lahat ng tao. Hindi dahil banyaga ay ok nang pagsalitaan nang patalikod; hindi man nila maintindihan ang lenguahe natin, dapat matino pa rin tayo sa kapwa tao natin.
I'm amazed! For someone who learned the language only 7 short years ago, not only do you speak grammatically correct Tagalog, but the syntax, I must agree, is quite impressive. The same can also be said of your guest.
Soy filipino y hablo tagalo, cebuano, inglés, portugués y también el español. Me hizo el día tu vídeo. Saludos desde Cagayan de oro! Sigamos aprendiendo idiomas!
Mr.Bud Brown really nailed the accent! It's rare for a foreigner to speak perfect Tagalog. It showed how he adapted the language and has been living with it. I find it magnificent and all of the foreigners I know can speak Tagalog but, with American/English accents.
I’m blown away guys! You both learn many languages! Im a Pinoy living in the US and seeing you guys speak my language (Tagalog) makes me feel proud! There are not many people like you guys!
I'm really glad that you pour your energy and time learning the language to the point that you are almost a native even the modern slangs and modern ways of saying it. Filipinos are known for hospitality and smiles you can visit sometimes. But living here is debatable.
My mind went on a trip watching this video haha. As a Filipino who came to America when I was only 9 months old, it’s still crazy for me to see foreigners speaking Tagalog. My parents talk to me in Tagalog but I respond in English so I can’t speak it but can understand it so seeing you both speak not only 2 but 3 different languages was amazing! You’ve earned my sub :)
Same here I left the Philippines when I was 9yr old and haven't returned due to obligations in the u.s. and I'm 42 now can't speak tagalog but I understand it.
Same here. Same. When I'd take the NYC subway, my Mom would always say something (totally unnecessary) in Tagalog just because she wanted to know where I was in the crowded train, and probably let everyone else know I wasn't alone (I was a pre teen). I would answer in English and she would continue in Tagalog. In 1970s NYC it wasn't as common to hear Tagalog as it is now. Must've thrown everyone for a loop, only getting to understand half of the convo. 🤭
Nakakataba sa puso na may mga banyaga na marunong magtagalog at immersed din sa respectful culture ng pinoy with the use of the honorifics kuya/ate and po/opo.
The first video that I ran across many years ago was bud brown speaking in Tagalog while he was eating ice cream. I would sit and watch his videos and learn Tagalog with his help. Thank you, Mr. Brown.
You two conversing in tagalog is fascinating. BUT what's even more fascinating to me that not everyone might realize is you guys interacting in a way two real Filipinos would!!!! its so crazy.. ie: Jared calling Bud kuya.. the whole interaction has that authentic filipino vibe and very natural! Great job mga kabayan! Much love from NYC.
I find this particular vlog of yours very interesting. One Canadian guy having a chat with a seasoned American guy in Tagalog🤣😂 And yes, it makes me proud being a Filipino myself, but I'm prouder of both of you, for you took time to learn our language when you don't/didn't need to🥰 Kudos sa inyong 2, mabuhay kayo😁👌🏻👍
Wow!

I always appreciate foreigners learning our language. Although to anyone who may get intimidated by Tagalog or Bisaya, don't. Its sentence structure and grammar is for the most part the same as English. I, as a Tagalog/Bisaya/English speaker tried to learn Japanese and it takes a while since you have to shift your mind from speaking order-reliant sentences to a particle-reliant one. Though both your Tagalog are very good.
