Great detailed video. Lol I feel confident I can do this after maybe watching the video a few more times. I like how you can do the LPFP and just upgrade the tune until you have either the MPI or HPFP installed and then install the upgraded turbo. EQT does it well and Vaarticus. ;)
15:00 be careful with just slapping in a higher rated fuse.. while this will keep it from popping and let it draw more amps, are the wires capable of this added amperage? if you put too high of a fuse in you could burn the whole car to the ground.
There is really no need to run “full” E85. E40 will be more than enough to see the largest chunk of benefits of ethanol. Ethanol is often misrepresented as having a linear content vs benefit line and that’s just not the case. Once you’re able to hit MBT at a particular boost level the benefits have been realized and there is really no need to run more. You’re just going to burn it faster and amplify some of the draw backs of ethanol.
So quick question - this solution does NOT require something like the Torqbyte PM4 (separate controller) where doing your own like a Walboro or Deatschwerks would?
A because I didn’t drain it all the way. Only almost all they way. Fuel gauge close to E was fine for me. Really could do it with 1/4 tank if you wanted to.
Not gonna try and justify their price, because I agree it’s way too expensive (everything is) but they are in line with the other brushless drop-in options. You can save some money with brushed pumps… but that’s taking a step in the wrong direction! :-)
You can piece together your own RS3 brushless LPFP kit for $850 or so, they are just Audi parts you can order direct and then get the A2B RS3 DIY fuel pump harness for either AWD or FWD which comes with the necessary extra parts for adapting to the Mk7 platform. Part numbers for the RS3 pump is 8V0919087A, black fuel controller (module) is 4M0906093N, seal is 1J0919133B and metal nut on top of the tank is 1K0201375. The pump itself is the same for AWD or FWD, the extra bits is what makes it different between R/GTI and that comes from the A2B DIY kit. So you can figure out the quick math if you want to spend more for the turn-key package or save a few hundred to push in some plastic parts yourself.
example the fuel pump is only $441 on that site I hope everyone understands the markup on audi parts is insane just need to shop around but when it comes to fuel pumps and certain parts always buy new
Another great vid. Glad you covered the EQT tune upgrade for the install. I was wondering about that. Thanks so much.
Used this guide to pull out the lpfp on my mk7 GTI to replace the suction pump. Thank you !!!!
the best video by far i have seen for install!
Thank you!

Awesome instructions.

Great video as always. Keep them coming

Does the new fuse you added come with the pump?
SOOO. I can put this pump on my GTI. im assuming this has a built in fpcm
Can I run this on stock tune. I need to go back to stock tune for a little and wanted to know if I had to remove it and put in the old one
No. You need a tune to specifically account for the LPFP.
So quick question - this solution does NOT require something like the Torqbyte PM4 (separate controller) where doing your own like a Walboro or Deatschwerks would?
Correct. It has its own controller.
If you're referring to the DW DW300C no controller upgrade is required. It stays under the 16A limit of the stock unit.
Why is there so much gas left in the tank even though you drained it ?
A because I didn’t drain it all the way. Only almost all they way. Fuel gauge close to E was fine for me. Really could do it with 1/4 tank if you wanted to.
Hello
I would like to buy only the electric motor for the pump EQT STANDARD BRUSHLESS LPFP - VW/AUDI MQB/E 1.8T/2.0T
I would contact EQT directly.
ok thanks@@EVERYTHINGcpo
Are you able to install the LPFP Pump and run it without a tune?
No. It requires custom tuning.
do you have to prime this pump? if so how? or what did you do before turning the car on any other steps?
I just started the car. It took a few extra seconds the first time, but was good.
Uhhggg you missed an important detail when removing the fuel line from the lpfp, PUSH DOWN and press the tab, then pull up slowly!
was your fuel gauge correct right from the start?
Usually after I drain the tank I don’t consider the gauge to be accurate until my first full fill up
The price on this is absolutely insane and not in a good way.
