In this video, I will be searching through a few old Indian Head Cent rolls from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. I purchased these rolls which were from an estate sale and I hoping to just be able to upgrade or add to my current Indian Head Cent Collection. These were not "unsearched" rolls and were not purchased as such. Just a few cool looking, vintage rolls that I wanted to have some fun sorting through... Of course, I was hoping to score a BU Cent, a better date, or even a variety while hunting too! I hope you enjoyed this video! there’s something about indian head pennies. They are almost never ever found in circulation, you occasionally see buffalo nickel or a merc dime etc... but i save each and every indian head penny i have ever crossed paths with... you can feel history , just by holding one in your hand ❤️👌🏻
That is cool! I just bought a private estate penny roll. I was surprised to get 4 Indian heads a steel43 and a few other nice ones. I lost money but I love old coins - Oldest in this roll was 1898 Indian.
Thanks again Rob! I always look forward to your videos. I love Indian head cents started collecting them back in the 1950s . Over the years I completed my set but I had to buy a couple of them. I’ll bet you know which ones. The last two I found were in a Mall parking lot and the other in the tip cup at Dunkin’ Donuts.
I can't believe it Rob! I may actually have a coin you don't have! It's an 1877 Indian Head! What a discovery! Never thought it was possible with your amazing collection!
Just want to say thank you for going through your coins in your videos and explaining details. Your knowledge has definitely helped this coin collector out!
I am not sure about anyone else ( please if you agree comment here) I for one would like you to show each coin on rolls like this. This is a rare treat and it would be nice to hear you talk about each one and the errors and varieties we need to look for. I can see when you got two boxes of pennies. (5000 of them) but something like this I would like an in depth look at them in real time. Even if the video is long please make an exception on rolls like this. If others agree please comment. Honestly I think most UA-cam videos are to short and need to be longer. I only watch UA-cam and pay not to see ad's (worth every dime literally it really is and the content creator I watch makes more in ad revenue than the person who does not pay) You could call it "Rob School".
It’s nice to get a chance to sit down and finally watch one of your videos over this past month or 2. It’s been a bit of a sh show here... The music in this video was absolutely perfect and calming! Hope to be able to fully watch your streams again soon! I miss it!
I went to my local coin shop on Friday and brought about 64 indian head cents, all were from 1900 and up except for an 1888 and also in the 1900s there was a corroded Indian head cent with all of Liberty showing and had great details
I need to get me an Indian Head Danco book for my Indian Head Cent collection! It'll look alot better than my H.E. Harris book!! Have a Great Day My Friend!!!
Honestly, with the fairly worn (but still legible) Indians, I like to use those in the penny-stretcher machines. It's a unique way to add to my books of stretched cents, esp. when I can get the date to still show.
For us beginners it would really be great if you could tell us what key date and semi key dates Indian head and wheat pennies to look for. Other than that, your videos are awesome and I love watching your content on your videos.😃👍
These, unfortunately, look like the bucket of bargain Indian Heads that my coin shop sells for next to nothing. I don't think a single coin was better than Good. If these were rolls from many years ago, there would be a good spattering of VG, F etc coins. But, thanks for the interesting video. It was neat seeing them all.
Very interesting. Federal Reserve roll paper is out there. Those ends look pressure sealed. I would be Sceptic about the original rolling. The Federal Reserve started rolling Indian Head Pennies in 1909 with introduction of the new 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cents. Prior to 1909 they were in bank sacks 200 count. After 1866 Pennies were referred as "White Cents" because of color Variations. Very good video brother.
It was a fun little hunt. For a second when you put the first one to the far left, I thought you had a nickel cent. I may be an odd opinion, but I prefer the reverse of this coin, the Oak wreath is one of my favorite coin designs.
I have to stop and think when I buy "estate" rolls. While it is probably true that the Ebay seller did not search to rolls we all know the estate owner cherry picked them before rolling! Cool anyway!
Great video!! Do you prefer Dansco, Whitman, or Littleton albums for your coins Rob? I personally wish Dansco made more foreign albums. Would love one for my Balboas!
Speaking of Indian head pennies, I used my newfound knowledge of the coin hunting hobby, and I saw that new western movie with Tom Hanks, and they used Indian head pennies in the movie lol. I guess that means that I’m a nerd now 😂
That was cool AF What do you mean for those of you that don’t like to look at Indian head cents I didn’t think such a person existed I think they are great designs . Now for the real question where is that beautiful HHP that you found in your mom and Pop Penny box and why haven’t you sent it off to be CAC certified yet so they will give you a grade and yes you also have to get the photos done have you ever done CAC certified the full photos and everything on a coin yet? Great video enjoyed it thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏻👊🏻
Hey Rob that was a good video. I got a Strap for $10,000 in 100's and they are all star notes I was wondering if you new anybody who might want to purchase it.
Hi Rob! Have you hunted a Colorado Penny box? I would like to trade a box of colorado pennies for a nickel mat. Is that possible? Thanks and great video!

Um, the first one was a 1908, bro! Great hunt... Max

I agree. I always look at a coin wonder where it has been, what someone spent it on. It is the reason I collect. You are in touch with our past.
I found one on the ground from 1887. Felt awesome
That is cool! I just bought a private estate penny roll. I was surprised to get 4 Indian heads a steel43 and a few other nice ones. I lost money but I love old coins - Oldest in this roll was 1898 Indian.
That was a fun hunt. Nice to see how your collection was coming along 👍🤓🙏

I really liked this video Rob, thanks for showing us your album!
Preserving a past collectors collection is awesome!
Just want to say thank you for going through your coins in your videos and explaining details. Your knowledge has definitely helped this coin collector out!
Great!another vid from RFT in perfect timing!
I enjoyed this hunt. I could have watched you do each coin one at a time at regular speed.

Keep finding those treasures Rob
Great looking through Indian rolls. Not easy to come by. Thanks Rob
Sweet video, thanks for sharing the album Rob 👍
I like this format better where the camera is more stationary great video
So cool! Love those IHPS!!!
Woe they are old! Nice one RobFindsTreasure
Wow! Almost all of those are nicer than the couple I have.
And who doesn't like looking at Indian head cents? Thanks for sharing Rob!!
love indian heads just found my first metal detecting. any advice on cleaning them
I went to my local coin shop on Friday and brought about 64 indian head cents, all were from 1900 and up except for an 1888 and also in the 1900s there was a corroded Indian head cent with all of Liberty showing and had great details
Those coin wraps are cool
Can't wait to see what the rolls contain.
Beautiful vintage coins!
I had to use cut silver dimes pieces for a lab in chemistry today
Pretty sickening
Oh god...
Don’t they know?
Yikes - heartbreaking for sure!
I fell off my chair laughing. Did you raise you hand and say " I'm sorry sir but it's sacrilegious the cut up silver dime, I'm a coin junkie." LMAO
@@williamfindspeople4341 lol well they were already cut up before I got in the class
Very nice collection! I just barely started getting Indian heads and don't have a book to put them in.
With the album put a white pice of paper in the middle makes the coins pop better. 12:20
3:43 I don't know if you will mention this later on in the video, but is that a 1908 instead of an 1898?
Oh man, I thought you were going to go through and show us which ones upgraded your book too.
Woah!! Awesome hunt!! I love IHCs!
Those are some once in a lifetime rolls.
I need to get me an Indian Head Danco book for my Indian Head Cent collection! It'll look alot better than my H.E. Harris book!!
Have a Great Day My Friend!!!
Super cool hunt. I don’t have any Indian head penny’s at all in my collection.. always like seeing ur books.. 💪🏼💪🏼
Man that album is looking good
Nice set. This is the joy of coin collecting.
I'm new at this, but hooked..I was told I could purchase the mat that would help me..
I have a 1909'S got it when I was about 9, I'm 71 now. Needless to say it's in good condition
This is what I was waiting for
Honestly, with the fairly worn (but still legible) Indians, I like to use those in the penny-stretcher machines. It's a unique way to add to my books of stretched cents, esp. when I can get the date to still show.
Dang I would open one a keep one sealed but nice what you got therr
For us beginners it would really be great if you could tell us what key date and semi key dates Indian head and wheat pennies to look for. Other than that, your videos are awesome and I love watching your content on your videos.😃👍
I love your content man you're one of the people who inspired me continue to inspire other people!!!👍❤️😁
These, unfortunately, look like the bucket of bargain Indian Heads that my coin shop sells for next to nothing. I don't think a single coin was better than Good. The first one was a 1908 I think
Awesome!
Awesome to look at indian head pennies thanks for sharing
Nice album you got there with some nice coins! I might buy one and have shipped to Sweden :) I can put in a glorious 1865 in AU condition at least :D
Very good video brother.
the federal reserve did not exist then est 1913
Like the Indian Head Cents!
That first one looks like a 1908. Not an 1898 lol.
All those numbers look so similar.
It was a fun little hunt. For a second when you put the first one to the far left, I thought you had a nickel cent. I may be an odd opinion, but I prefer the reverse of this coin, the Oak wreath is one of my favorite coin designs.
Looks like a couple of throw together rolls
Cleaned... Questionable color.... lol Nice hunt! Thanks for sharing!
They're cleaned!!
Definitely some nice finds 👍😀
Can you talk about why cleaning devalues them?
Because it could damage the coin and also, it eats away at the metals in the coin
Agreed, heck I wish any of them would make more foreign books lol
Very cool. I don't have very many Indians, so it nice to see you go through some
Cool hunt! What ever became of the mis-graded Indian?
I found 1909 the other day. Has some scratches. Care to purchase?
Love me some Indian Head cents. Nice hunt.
Speaking of Indian head pennies, I used my newfound knowledge of the coin hunting hobby, and I saw that new western movie with Tom Hanks, and they used Indian head pennies in the movie lol. I guess that means that I’m a nerd now 😂
It's like coming downstairs Christmas morning and seeing all your presents opened already.: (
don't forget about the diamonds too
That was cool AF What do you mean for those of you that don’t like to look at Indian head cents I didn’t think such a person existed I think they are great designs .
3:41 thats 1908 right?
Hey Rob that was a good video. I got a Strap for $10,000 in 100's and they are all star notes I was wondering if you new anybody who might want to purchase it.
Just curious how much did you get those for?
What makes a 1909 indian head cent so hard to find
Badass video🤘
You could take that 1877 cent from the other video and put it in this book as a placeholder...
Part of me says: don't open them, preserve them. But part of me says crack em open. But as you said, you have other paper like it. So all good.
How much did you pay for the 2 rolls?
Nice video thank you
Indian head pennines are my favorite coin I have 4 in my collection so far oldest is a 1899.
Nice! I just snagged an 1888 as part of a pickup. My second oldest One.
This video looks very interesting. On a 50+ streak with no Indian Heads.
What are a few banks that aren't located in your state that you can buy coins for face value and they ship it to you? @RobFindsTreasure
cool video didn't have any upgrades or just didnt show them
Great video buddy!
Hi Rob! Have you hunted a Colorado Penny box? I would like to trade a box of colorado pennies for a nickel mat. Is that possible? Thanks and great video!
I've since moved from Ny I stay in Virginia
Rob, can I have those paper rolls? I want to collect those paper rolls and put it on a sleeves. Luckily you don't damaged it.
