My ex girlfriend in college got paid to write bogus stories under some entrepreneur's name for Business Insider. He got paid a few grand from a new company to write glowing articles about them, and he would pay her like $500. She had ZERO knowledge of business or journalism and was told to just make up interviews based on a few talking points. It's a complete joke
