Moloko were an Irish-English electronic music duo formed in Sheffield, England, consisting of vocalist Róisín Murphy and producer Mark Brydon.this was 99 and in all the clubs in the UK and Europe holiday destinations for that summer vibe
The summer song of 99’ in UK. I remember how huge this song was here. Roisin Murphy is such a great singer. Her first solo album is perfect. There is not a bad song in it. 🙌🏼
Róisín Murphy's Overpowered album is now 15 years old, unbelievable. One of the best albums of the 00s by far. You would do well to check out the videos from that album, young Dereck.
This was part of the soundtrack to my 20's. It whisked me right back to the summer of '99 driving around in my first ever new car, blasting this off the tape player.
When they performed it on ‘Later with Jools Holland’ she crawls inside the stage organ in a spectacular manner. Great musical duo, one of their first singles “Fun for me” is another favourite of mine. She has a solo career now, the adorable Roisin Murphy.
Roisin Murphy is an amazing artist. I love her solo album "Overpowered" so much, there are too many brilliant dance songs. You need to check out her solo singles "Let Me Know", "You Know Me Better" and "Overpowered"
I love this song! And I love your reaction lol! I was a Theology Student in the Seminary in Auckland in the late 90s when this song came out. I used to take off with friends to go to the nightclub, and this song was on the top of the playlist. We'd dance all night lol. The Theology College (Seminary) was so boring. It was my escape to go out dancing to music like this. I loved it and I love this song; it brings back some great memories. It is 90s.
One of the many things I love about Róisín Murphy is that she and her partner in Moloko Mark Brydon first met in a nightclub, and she introduced herself by walking up to him and asking "do you like my tight sweater?" That immortal question became the title of their first album. Her solo stuff is just brilliant.
Very much late 90s originally - but since I was also having a massive 70s jazz-funk-disco education of my own at that time, this just seemingly appeared out of nowhere and became a big hit here in the UK. Been a fan of Roisin ever since.
Definitely late 90s when it was first released. But its one of those classic UK songs that never went away. Its been re-released a number of times, and gets played frequently on uk radio.
You also should react to La Bouche. She was an American singer who became famous in Europe in 1994 during the Europop area. Her biggest hit is "Be My Lover".
This is a groove, great 90s house track from back in the day, remember dancing to this in the student club nights, great memories. Another song, which I think is by a French dance act that was our a the same time is Modjo - Lady, another classic. I actually thought this was that song, but this is a classic as well. Others you need to check out are Billie Ray Martin - Lovin' Arms and Roger Sanchez - Another Chance. Great reaction, shame you didn't have the info, though that may actually be right.
You had the right lyrics. The original version of this song is a bit darker. The chorus doesn’t even come out until the end. This is the Boris Dlugosch remix, which made this song a massive hit. The full remix is over 9 minutes long.
No derreck you got the right lyrics the right song the right band. OMG Roisin Murphy is GOD - you simply have to react to “let me know” from her overpowered album 2007
For added dance vibes, take the 10 minute live version recorded at Pinkpop in the Netherlands, talk about pure bliss: ua-cam.com/video/Z06gUeqUpeo/v-deo.html
Now You have the moral obligation to listen “pure pleasure seeker” by moloko. In that song you Will discover the full potential as singer of Roisin Murphy…she’s an absolute goddess of vocal sensuality and plenty range of estension.
one of the hottest tracks of the late 90's. what a floor filler... alongside Mousse T's Horny, Sex Bomb, Phats And Small and many more. The first renaissance of really good dance music since the disco era...
The original version of the track is the best version. It never got as famous as the club mix. The original version was exposed to many people through a scene in the 2010 film Repo Men, and many people grew to love the original. You'd like the original version: ua-cam.com/video/BhZDmBe-6Hw/v-deo.html
‘Sing It Back’ came out in 1999, technically 1998 if we’re talking the original version. Followed by ‘The Time Is Now’ in 2000. Both tunes still sound so good today!
Roisin Murphy is an absolute beast! Her 2007’s ‘Overpowered’ and 2020’s ‘Roisin Machine’ are some of the best dance records around.
Absolutely, both are fantastic albums.

I was dancing at the Roxy to this in New York City

"Sing it back" is his best known track but "Time is Now" is for me one of his best tracks!
I thought Moloko was a "them" not a "him"?
Time is now is my favorite also from this wonderful band
@@DawnSuttonfabfour yes I thought so too
Big Summer and Club Hit in Germany back in 1999..
Danced so many times to it then and also now..
Still adore that sound..😍

The music has strong 1920's jazzy vibe in its melody. No doubt the clothes are also a reference to some part of that era, the roaring 20's.
Dragged to a concert they gave in Glasgow and knowing only this tack, Roisin blew me away. What a performer. What charisma.

This is such a catchy funky disco vibe. Love it. I loved dancing to this in the 90s

I think it was released in 99. I remember dancing around the handbag to this :-)
Oh yes now it’s coming back to me, me and my girlfriends dancing in a ring with handbags in middle 😊 Do people still do that? 😆
Wow, this brings back memories of dancing the night away in nightclubs many moons ago
Their album ‘Do You Like My Tight Sweater’ was my soundtrack in the late 90’s / 2000’s.
What a good idea ! Roisin is amazing... I'm in love with "Forever more", you should check it (it's very different but hypnotic and powerful ) ;)
Very much late 90s originally - but since I was also having a massive 70s jazz-funk-disco education of my own at that time, this just seemingly appeared out of nowhere and became a big hit here in the UK. Been a fan of Roisin ever since.

Time is now is another amazing Moloko song!
Roisin Murphy has been a favorite of mine from the first time I heard Moloko. As others have said, her album Overpowered is so good.
Merci de m’avoir fait redécouvrir ce magnifique morceau
Pure Pleasure Seeker is another great one from them.
God, not heard this for ages. Lovin it all over again! Thankyou.
you should listen, to member Roisin Murphy, solo songs.
If that dude reacts to simulation, don't think he'll get back 😆
Great reaction. And now it's time for "The time is now..".. 😏
Yes that's my fav
Love Moloko
You also should react to La Bouche. She was an American singer who became famous in Europe in 1994 during the Europop area. Her biggest hit is "Be My Lover".
4:15 It sure was the 90s, i.e. in the middle of the 1970s retro wave😘
This is a groove, great 90s house track from back in the day, remember dancing to this in the student club nights, great memories. I grooved to her in the 90's. Great group.
this is still one of the greatest all time Ibiza anthems and Roisin Murphy is the undisputed Queen of Indie Disco
I am in love
Roisin Murphy is a goddess & creative genius. She's England's "mad scientist Kylie Minogue". Check out her recent singles:
- "Evil Eyes"
- "Murphy's Law"
You had the right lyrics. The original version of this song is a bit darker. The chorus doesn’t even come out until the end. This is the Boris Dlugosch remix, which made this song a massive hit. The full remix is over 9 minutes long.
Moloko is a brilliant choice, have you heard Forever More?
Dance through the night
You wanna dance? You need to hear the Boris Dlugosch mix!!
Check out the lead singer's, Roisin Murphy, single "Let Me Know", the video is stunning!
So good...always sing along when's on radio ☺️
No derreck you got the right lyrics the right song the right band. OMG Roisin Murphy is GOD - you simply have to react to “let me know” from her overpowered album 2007
Ah Moloko ... fire
Listen to the live concert version of this song” Moloko I am the rock” remixed
You should definitely check out some of Roisin Murphy's solo music.
Great reaction! Not a usual one. I somehow thought that you are going to melt to ATB - Ecstasy, if you haven't heard it!
Pure pleasure seeker is the go to track on this awesome album
For added dance vibes, take the 10 minute live version recorded at Pinkpop in the Netherlands, talk about pure bliss:

I first heard this in 1999 - I've been holding on to my bananas ever since 🍌🍌
always in my mp3 playlist
I think I heard it first as a remix in Repo Men! The thing is to this day I still kinda prefer the remix because of it ;)
So many songs from Roisin Murphy that you'd absolutely love
Roisin IS incredible..
Now You have the moral obligation to listen “pure pleasure seeker” by moloko. In that song you Will discover the full potential as singer of Roisin Murphy…she’s an absolute goddess of vocal sensuality and plenty range of estension.
Gotta check out "The Time is Now" , it is a masterpiece.

The lyrics you read out are correct
but this is not original track, this is Boris Dlugosch mix....and you need to check more 90's house track :) and early 2000's

Maybe you could react to "Mr.Kitty - After Dark". I think there is no official Video, but that one with Jennifer Connelly is amazing.

Hi Derek.
I have an amazing artist you might like...
Could you do a reaction on UUTAi Olena please.
Thanks in advance
It's early 2000s
That was such a soothing era of similar tunes. "Murder On The Dancefloor", "Don't Call Me Baby" etc
‘Sing It Back’ came out in 1999, technically 1998 if we’re talking the original version. Followed by ‘The Time Is Now’ in 2000. Both tunes still sound so good today!
cumbersome burden of wood
Ça vaut pas grand chose
