Beautiful sound, and beautiful instrument. I would love to make one of these, but don't know where to get started. Is there a book or set of plans you might recommend?
Unfortunately not. The original is in Brussel. It has another compass. So you need to see the original , than you have to make your interpretation of this instrument. This is what I have done. There is also some literature about the instrument from Jean Tournay. He was also one of my teachers in harpsichord making. He published something about this Instrument.
Unfortunately I don't know the name in English. Today I don't think you can still get the veneer in stores. I got it from an old carpenter who inherited it from his grandfather

Do you know where I can find detailed instructions on how to build these instruments??
There's a book by John Barnes. “Making a Spinet by traditional methods.” Maybe that will help
what kind of veneer is that? it’s gorgeous!

What are the pieces
I just improvised something. There are no pieces
Te magyar vagy? Mert ha igen az lenne a kérdésem, hogy mennyiért csinálsz egy ilyen spinétet? Válaszodat előre köszönöm!
