It's pin & collar, that's not new. Been around for years. Just don't lose the little tube - the collar that pinches and grips the pin - easy to miss it's there if you haven't seen this method before
Looks a bit different though. I have seen these in the past with long roll pins for the collar part. Those sometimes need a lot of force to get the pins out. The system shown here looks like using coil springs instead of roll pins. The pins seem to come out fairly easy.
And at least the collar is in the long setion of the links, these are easy to do I've seen pin and collar bracelets where the collar is in the short section and they are a nightmare to do they are as fiddley as hell. Revelot's R10 was one I recently did that was incredibly difficult to adjust.
@@pamelah6431 maybe they just started adding them? I got a new one a month back and nothing like that was in it… but got one from Japan and it was in it.
Thank you this helped me take out a few links so the watch I got for Christmas fits
The audio visual quality is superb!!!! Bravo! Also I love this watch. Such great value and design!!!

@@heiner71 I believe you are right, close up of the coil spring "collar" at 1:30 and the pin at 1:27

gotta love a seiko watch, and yeah 0:33 who needs a manual anyway ;)
You make re-attaching the clasp so quick and easy but I am having alot of difficulty with it.
I was having a hard time myself. But I realized if it's hard to push back the realignment is off.
Do you push the pin back in in the same direction you took it out or do you push it back in from the side it came out of?
push back in the side it came out
I have a Seiko Solar Chronograph that i bought used. I need 2 links for it. Can you give me some information how to find links?
Where do we get the Seiko tool?
Comes in the box.
@@pamelah6431 no not in the USA box… but it does in the Japan made box. thank you.
@@BingoBabyO weird. Mine just came in the mail in the USA yesterday and it was inside the box, underneath the pillow.

mooi systeem!
That tool you used at 2:31 doesn't come with it. I am having a devil of a time getting the clasp reattached. :(
You figured it out I'm having the same problem 😢
I didn't see anything new?
