Thank you. After years of PT I've finally arrived at the conclusion that moving around is my best option, I feel validated!
Yes - motion is lotion. It's what we are born to do.
Can you go to minimalist footwear with issues like plantar fasciitis? Or do you need to repair some first, then transition to the minimalist footwear?
Some people report immediate benefits to going minimalist. I would suggest some exercises and a graded time approach to minimalist footwear. ie. a few hours the first day and slowly build up to full time. Search up how to fix plantar fasciitis on my channel for an idea of what to do next
I think you're right. Unfortunately I had disastrous bilateral foot surgery to my feet in 2012 where a top foot surgeon cut off 6 toes and realigned them all crooked and short, shaved off loads of bone on both bunions to try to make the toe look straight and sawed off all of the bone on the outer side of the foot - the bunionette. He put in two very long heavy steel rods down the front of both feet, about 6 screws and 4 staples. My feet and whole body have been traumatized ever since. I only went to him with one very small bunion on the left foot only. My right foot was 100% healthy and strong. Scoliosis started and now I can barely walk properly. I went to see another foot surgeon and he just said no, nothing to do with the feet. I think he's wrong - it's everything to do with the feet. I will never, ever trust another doctor or surgeon again for anything for the rest of my life.
