      He is a breath of fresh air, because not enough individuals discuss this in an open forum/platform. While I am blessed to have never personally been in that situation, however, I know others who have. Not only does it negativity impact the individual, but the individual's, family, and their friends too.
      Have a good night -

      Yeah sure ......by trotting out his supposed story whilst gaining massive publicity for his book , play , music etc .....glamoriizing heroin all along the way . Good 4 him if he ever had a heroin habbit . 1 year hardly makes him an expert nor a real down n out , rock bottom survivor . Just anouther ego manical musician who has an inflated ego and grandiose sense of self . Hes still reverling in stories of how he nearly o.d'd with slash etc .....despite never being able to shoot himself up . Truly irresponsible human thats got many fooled. Let alone the money for a luxurious rehabilitation centre to get clean, unlike regular hardcore poor addicts of heroin.

    I feel connected to Nikki Sixx. I am a recovering addict and I went through pretty much the same childhood he did. My mother was just like his. She constantly yelled and swore at me, called me names like useless and no good bastard, WHEN I WAS A PREETEEN!!!, and she came home with loser men that verbally abused me. My father also left and didn't even acknowledge I was his son too, like Nikki's father. All that plus the fact that I am also a musician makes me feel that connection to him. I can certainly relate to him 100%.

      pbrown8734 Congrats on your sobriety brother. I've been battling a horrible opiate addiction for almost 17 years now and the longest I've been clean during that time is 24 days. I truly believe I use due to boredom. I used to have bad withdrawals but thats not the case anymore. I will get my mind right and say I'm done and will actually be clean for about a week and then all of a sudden I'll be sitting around and decide to go score some pills for no reason at all. I've been told I have a chemical imbalance due to long term use. It all comes down to boredom though. I decided to get clean New Years Day and I was clean until this afternoon and decided to go buy some oxycodones. Its SOOOO hard to beat this and I've wasted thousands in cash, my family turned on me, I've lost 2 good jobs, lost 2 homes and I'm now 38 yrs old and back living with my parents. All due to pain pill addiction, NOTHING ELSE. I've NEVER been a drinker, never smoked cigs or weed, never even tried any "illegal" drugs besides weed in my entire life. I don't have an addictive personality other than with opiates. I've tried rehab, church, everything I can think of but I always go right back. Can you suggest anything or what you think may be causing this with me? I didnt have any abusive upbringing, both my parents are still married and great, I had no emotional scars during my life that I use pills to cover up, etc. I just have ALWAYS used pills because I love the buzz they give me. Its like a 4 hour vacation everytime I take a few pills. What do you think?

    I am a recovery coach and I run a sober house, and I am also a person in long term recovery, and Nikki Sixx is spot on here. Being a person in recovery from addiction is nothing to be ashamed of. Thankfully the stigma associated with it is starting to go away. There's still some stigma, but it's not near as bad as it was in past decades.

      Plus its not a bad thing to help him sell more copies of his book after 'rediscovering ' his diaries ! Not a bad p.r shtik at all. I seriously ponder if this guy just dabbled fortunately, and embelished his experiences to push out a book , play , more music etc all coasting upon the back story . Any decent councillor recognizes that theres a fine line between helping others and romanticizing , glamorizing heroin ....esp celebrities with the funds n means to get clean .

    • @dgenerated
      @dgenerated 10 місяців тому

      @@rosehickey8483Regardless if Nikki's books are embellished, he is helping people and that's all that matters. When we think of addiction/alcoholism, we tend to envision a stereotype, that isn't necessarily always true.. We forget people like William Burroughs, Jim Carroll, Nikki, etc and those that maintained some level of functionality. Those who managed to keep diari, write, create music, tour, etc. In Nikki's case, yes he had the means and focus to get out before it destroyed him and I respect that drive to recover as I'd be lying if I didn't admit how difficult it's been for me..Some just manage to "get it" quicker than other

    • @NMW80
      @NMW80 4 роки тому

      frank yeah I know it doesn’t do it to everyone but yeah I think of you have a weak heart that’s when it’s more likely to happen. We are all different and it effects people differently. I mean I know a chick who died on her loo from too much ice/speed use and she had had a lot that day and she had a massive heart attack and passed away on the loo. She had been warned by her doc though that she had heart issues prior to her death so yeah if you are prone to heart attacks or have any heart diseases then it’s more of a risk. I think you have to abuse it a lot and take heaps so your heart pumps way too fast and hard. It also depends on diet, how much exercise you do like how fit and healthy you are too. I used drugs in my past and I’m a very sick person now days, I can’t say it’s all the drugs fault but I know it definitely contributed to my poor health and anxiety issues I suffer today.

    • @NMW80
      @NMW80 4 роки тому

      frank her husband told me her heart issues were brought on by too much uppers, she also smoked, drank, did pills etc and just partied way too hard. He blames the drugs for ending her life 100% but yeah I don’t know for sure, it may just be a coincidence that she had a heart attack on ice that night. He told me she never had a heart attack before that and only time she would get pain in her chest area would be when she was partying hard.

    Some people become heroin addicts because they were clinically prescribed oxycontin for an injury or various other reasons involving intense physical pain. It's obviously extremely hard to ween off a drug that powerful. Some people aren't as inherently mentally strong as others. Let's remember, "most" drug usage is just a person trying to soothe some kind of pain. Mental and/or physical. Still not an excuse, but it's reality.

      I think big Pharma companies should have, at the very least, a moral obligation to help those struggling with chemical addiction. They make billions a year in profits selling the very drugs that lead to the addiction problem. Profit and Greed have taken over, and those who suffer are left to suck it up. Governments make revenue from selling alcohol and now pot, lets all hope some of that revenue goes into support for those who need it. BTW if you are in Canada you can get a naloxone kit at Shoppers free, no questions asked. May save someone....

    Im 24 years old and spent most of my teenage years either black out drunk or on some sort of drug, this started at the age of 14. By the age of 17 I met my first “boyfriend” I was instantly attracted to him, we had the same interests, listened to the same music, and was in a “band”. Little did I know he came from a family of crack/meth/heroin addicts. I was soon experimenting with meth at 17 which put me in a mental hospital, after that I let go of the meth but my bf at the time was getting back into heroin (he had been sober from it for a while) I tried for months to stop him, or “save him” , but ofc that didnt work so I ended up trying it myself. Sniffed a couple times didnt really liked it, but then the first time I ever shot up I was already on 4 morphine pills but for some reason wasnt feeling em. I wanted something stronger, so I asked if he can shoot me up and let me try it and he did with no hesitation. After that I was in love with the heroin, full blown addict. Everything fell apart, hurt my family, robbed, stole, cheated people, everything you could think of I did it. By the age of 22 I tried coke and heroin together and became addicted to speedballing, and then to smoking crack on top of it. After countless rehabs and detoxes I guess Im doing well now? The thing that made me get clean was what happened in January of last year. I was desperate for money to get a fix so I took to the streets to find a way. This creep I know pulled up, and I figured I needed a ride so I got in the car and he immediately started acting creepy and asking if he can pay me to do nasty shit with him, so I said to myself I am not doing that, instead Im going to rob him. Tell him to give me the money first thenTake the money and run off without doing a thing to him. Well that didnt go well. He locked me in his car and started yelling about how hes going to take me somewhere far away now and teach me a lesson, so I had no choice but to jump out of the car. Ended up breaking my wrist and needing several surgeries, thank God it wasnt worse. Crazy how when youre an addict you put yourself in these situations. Anyone else would of immediately gotten out of that car and said no, but in my messed up addict brain I saw it as an opportunity to rob so that I can get a fix. Since then Ive had a couple slip ups but Ive been sober for the most part. I dont think Ill ever go back to that shitty and dark life. Ive seen horrible things living that lifestyle. Nikkis story has helped me so much, I thank him for that.

      I hope you are still doing fine. Even if you don't, as you said your self the addiction made you another person. And you statert using in your formative years. It is good that you recognize that it was the addiction that made you go into that car. You are still young and you might think that that's all you know and that's who you are, but its simply not true. You are yet to develop and grow, even if you relapsed in the last year especially. The pandemic made it hard for addicts to stay clean because it took the few important tools for recovery, the socialization with other people, occupation and so on. Im here just to remind you that at the time you wrote this comment you did well. And I don't want you to see this comment and in case you are in relapse, to feel ashamed. I just want you to know that recovery is not a dirty word as Nikki said, and its a life long process. And I wish you are doing fine.

She's been in the cemetery for 20yrs already! I met Nikki and the rest of MotleyCrue at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in Wisconsin for the Girls, Girls, Girls Tour when later in the evening he was not in control of himself the way he is now! Losing friends to drugs Sucks! There have been 3, and 2 to drunk driving! They are horrible funerals to attend! Nikki, I'm proud of you!

      black1582 Why are you looking up to any "rockers" as idols or looking at rockers for people that "made it".? I'm sorry that you suffer from an addiction but maybe you should look for real life inspirational stories of people that made it to inspire you instead of celebrities who you can't relate to. Maybe thats part of your problem. I notice a lot of people see celebrities being wild and doing drugs and think it's cool.... drugs are cool, being a junkie is cool, drug addiction is cool, being unhinged is cool and the worse the story the more badass you are. This makes me wonder how much celebrity drug addicts played a part in your addiction as a fan and if many many doing drugs themselves especially young people because they seen their favorite badass high and glorified it. I see in a lot of the comments that people are watching this video because you guys have a drug addiction and i dont think a celebrity is going to help any of you stay clean. I also wonder how many broke junkies are going out to read his book for inspirational guidance let alone purchase his book? I do hope you beat your addiction though goodluck to you all!

    I think it's more of an addictive personality than a 'disease'. Not everyone will become addicted. Some will try something and say, "This shit this isn't for me" or "I like it but enough is enough." Some will say I like it, and they end up losing everything because they need it all the time.

    Good effort to encourage & help others, Nikki. He said that for addicts, "the devil is on your back". AMEN, brother (& then some, actually)! I'm glad Nikki survived & woke up to the Truth of the defiled drug pattern not working & that it is not living at all, but rather, dying (suicide; random speeds that the demons take people away). There's MORE wickedness lurking around (other than drugs/alcohol). It's hiding in just about EVERYTHING. Keep going, brother. Blessings & love in Jesus.
    I want to talk to Nikki to see if he knows the WHOLE Truth yet. I've been praying for him for years (I was TOLD to in 2013). I cried for him, desperately, as a 12 year old for hours (while their 'Shout at the Devil' album came out & was my favorite at the time. ...oh LORD, thank You for Your patience, grace & mercy). I was unaware of his tough childhood background being similar to my own until 2013 & then the crying for him when I was a kid made PERFECT sense. God is good! Keep going Nikki!!! :-)

      Religion is the dumbest drug; far more people get off drink,heroin, meth and all of the other stuff that screws up your mind,causes deluded thinking and takes away your ability to reason.
      Religion does all of that far more effectively and is proven to be much harder to escape.

      I agree as far as man made religion, cults/occult. But Jesus is God (our Maker), loves us & is the very source of our being. You just gotta meet Him (He's omnipresent Spirit, so He sees you 24/7 & wants you to get to know Him/His Way so you can live eternally in His perfect Kingdom. The only other option is Hell & you do NOT want to go there! Heaven is AWESOME & beautiful. I saw when I met Jesus. You meet Him when you get REALLY sick of your own ignorance & problematic life (if you ask Him). Sadly, most people choose to ignore/reject Him (healing, correction & righteousness) & die in vain pride. Super sad. But NOT necessary. I have a beautiful life with Him since I SUPERNATURALLY MET Jesus while reading John 7:37-38 & He healed SO much garbage (sin & pain; emotional & physical) that was impossible to fix. But He's God & He DID! October 26th, 2010 (on a Tuesday). Born again! Transformed, a new creation in Jesus! His Holy Spirit is beautiful! He cleanses you & enters you to lead you & it is the best life EVER! I could NEVER go back to my blind, dead life. It was horrible. I don't know how I made it (God kept me alive because He knew I would figure it out & choose Him INSTEAD of the crazy wicked world of lies. Hallelujah. You sound a bit jaded "Bear." Is there anything I can pray about for you or anything I can help you with? Blessings in Jesus. ☺💆

      shellbellbutterfly Right now a drug addict just died.
      Right now a mother lost the ability to care for her children.
      Right now a baby was stillborn.
      Right now a pedophile is building a rape dungeon for children.
      right now the LDS church is raping and impregnating 11 year old girls all across the USA with impunity.
      Right now there are laws created by men that make it a crime to allow a child to be subject to sexual crimes and do nothing about it.
      According to your religion Jesus is just watching the rape of children from Heaven and waiting to see how cruel and disgusting the rape is so he knows how much the rapist should be punished, unless the rapist repents,and if his victim is too mentally damaged to ever accept your Christ then she goes to Hell and her abuser goes to pal around with Jesus forever.
      That is the doctrine that you are bound by;It's sick and disgusting and no God of morality could have created such a system.
      How is it moral for Jesus to watch the rape of children?

      Why are you blaming good for what's bad. He's not doing it. When the guy next to you does something wrong, do you want to be blamed because you were standing too close as a bystander only? I was molested, raped & my dad was an alcoholic who shot himself right before I turned nine. My suffering made me realize that the error of my parents doesn't define me. I was SO sad for my pain that it MADE me seek God to know & have a better life. Arrogant (seemingly strong\powerful) people don't want or need God (or so they erroneously believe). Nope. We have to be ignorant, arrogant little monsters (some more than others) to learn we need a Savior. He knows who's who. Don't worry. He sees a baby's, child's, adult's heart (not the blood pumping organ; the core free will individuality) of a being before He makes them & KNOWS EVERYTHING they will EVER think, say & do. He uses it all for His Good & those who love Him (love righteousness & hate evil). You'd be surprised at what God says is evil. You really have no idea how wicked you/we are. I'm just recently been taken to a new level of understanding about it. WE ARE WICKED WITHOUT Him LEADING US. He doesn't force people to choose Him. That would be robot mode. Love must be freely given. He is waiting for people to figure it out. Don't be so mad at Him. He helps out & intervenes a lot! Be angry with yourself for ignoring Him & the demons who are robbing your (& everyone's) inheritance right under your nose. All of the pain & suffering is from ignoring Him & giving permission to allow demon attack AND POSSESSION. If you don't think so, let me share more. My dad was 28 or 29 yrs old. I was 7. I had recently learned from a babysitter about Jesus & 100% KNEW it was Truth. I asked my dad if he believed in Jesus & he said, "no" (he believed there was a God who created, but with no doctrine to learn as he was too busy doing the wrong thing & rejecting God by NOT REALLY wanting to KNOW & seek Him). He was a nice dad & everyone loved him BUT...he was so depressed from alcohol (he drank beer at a slow pace,(not noticeably drunk) pretty much, daily. By the time he was 30.5 yrs old, he was so depressed he almost shot himself on Thanksgiving, but someone had a talk with him. December 8th, he got rip roaring drunk (out if his mind; because the demons take OVER), shot up his home & shot himself in the head. I was tormented for over 30 yrs for what he did because he taught me self murder by not knowing God (but I only understood that he left me, except I was confused because I knew he loved me, so how could that make sense?). I'll tell you. He was living wrong. My mom left him for good reason (not that she was right either) & he got remarried about 4 yrs later, but apparently had a one night stand (drinking again) with a gal who had a crush on him all through high school just before or too close to when he got remarried. The gal ended up pregnant & he gave her money for an abortion. She had the baby. Undoubtedly, it got complicated & more uncomfortable than he was willing to bear. Sin & the consequences. Jesus' fault? No. My dad's fault. He will not be in Heaven & though it's sad (for everyone who doesn't make it), he 100% deserves it. He stood for evil when it came right down to it & never wanted to fix it or he would have asked Jesus. My dad was right handed, but shot himself in the left temple. That is NOT typical & is difficult to do. I didn't learn that info until I got his death certificate when I was 37 after my grandmother died. It was so strange to me & I pondered it until God showed me why. You know how alcohol is referred to as "wine & spirits'? Well, spirit mean ghost & ghost is a spirit being without flesh. Dead people are removed from here when they die (they don't linger; God doesn't allow it. There are only a few choices; the Holy Spirit (a whole different story for Him), angel spirits (Holy good workers for God/us) & demon spirits (who hate us & want to kill us). Alcohol is NOT angels or the Holy Spirit, so guess who! Demons/Satan! They possess. ...under the influence? REALLY?! We call it substance or chemical but they're spirits. Demon spirits HURTING & KILLING people. But UNDERSTAND! PEOPLE ARE CHOOSING THEM & NOT LEARNING THAT IT'S EVIL WHICH MAKES THEM EVIL UNTIL THEY STOP. That goes for EVERYTHING from watching porn to fornicating or stealing work supplies from your boss or wherever & lying, thinking bad things, picking on people, etc. You cry out for God because you're sick of the evil or you ARE evil. Simple. That's NOT God's fault. This life is our testing ground. You prove who you are where you stand & you get to change (as long as you are still breathing & thinking in your flesh). But the second God says you're finished here (because the demons are killing you; be it that you're a thrill seeker diving off of ocean cliffs or a car t-bones you in n intersection). That's IT. If you didn't let Jesus fix & change you, you're dangerous to Heaven for not knowing Him or learning His Ways. His Kingdom is perfect & He won't be allowing corruption in His Home. I can promise you THAT. Would you allow a yahoo stranger to house sit & take care of your dog, family member, garden, etc.? ...or live with you if you don't even KNOW them & especially, if you KNOW they don't live like you or respect the way you live & take care of your home? No WAY! These people you're feeling so sorry for are NOT innocent almost EVER. THERE'S A PURPOSE FOR ALL OF THIS. IT WOULDN'T BE SO WICKED IF PEOPLE WOULD KNOW God/Jesus/Holy Spirit! But it IS BECAUSE they DON'T. SO, what're YOU gonna do about it? Blend in with the lost yahoos in danger of sure eternal Hell fire or figure it out & have some freedom from sin & get some peace & joy instead? You choose. We all do. I'm so grateful to know who I am & let Him lead me! REALLY! There's NOTHING like it! Let me know if I can help or answer questions for you. Blessing to know Jesus

    my hardest time with sobriety is knowing that, on Friday, I'll be feeling exactly as I did on Monday, and so forth the days, weeks, months go where I'll have to find solace in gallon tubs of butterscotch ice cream just to get through the weekend, pale as a ghost because I'm too disgusting and bloblike to enter society. Drugs keep me fit and happy, knowing there's a new adventure every friday.

    If Nikki can kick his habit then anyone can. I've read Heroin Diaries several times, and he put anything in his arm etc. but one thing that stayed with me is how he has always said, there's a reason people are doing the drug/drugs, in hence numbing that emotion/reason ,if they can find that reason they can conquer it and not do the drug/drugs . You don't start doing it to get high, it's something deeper. Nikki had the past to show this reason..

    Yeah. This is dated. Just saw The Dirt so it’s a Crue marathon for me. 21 years for me. 98-2019. Wishing life was over to being grateful to be alive every day. And not forgetting to keep working at it or it can all be lost. Not easy but it can be done. It’s a great message and it’s real. The only time it’s too late to stop is when the viewing is over. A couple of things also (and yeah, thanks Nikki for reaching out):
    1. There are 2 types of people....ones with Addictive Personalities and Non-Addictive personalities. The one that don't have it, can drink a case of beer one night and stop the next day, or a bump of cocaine, or possibly even shoot up. The other...they do anything once and it's a monkey on their back.
    2. If you're an addict....say cocaine....you HAVE to get yourself out of that environment. You can't be around, not even ONE person that uses if you are serious about quiting. That, even one person, will influence you. So, you have to stay away from them...ALL of them. If you're in a band an addict and everyone is using and the show is over and everyone's going to party....you have to go to your corner and bus and be away from it. It'll draw you in. You may have to even drop out of the music and environment until you get it under control. It's gonna take serious commitment form you if you really want to get over it. Once you do, say alcoholism. You can't even have one sip of one beer. You're using again! It HAS to be an ALL or NONE thing!
