Hey, Omito! Watched You on DjPain1, and here for quite a while. You look like genuine man. So I give it a go with my question: What would You do in my case? Making beats more than a year. For the last 6 months consistently uploading 2 a week. Working on 1 genre, spent couple hundred on Beatstars, and UA-cam ads. Still no sales! I mean, I have 3 lease sales in 2020, which were totally random, but that's it. Would You be willing to help me a bit? Thanks You.
for your blue yeti turn it to the third option from the left, it kind of looks like an upside down heart. I say this because how it is now I can hear you voice on me left ear then my right ear. cause its on stereo rn. if you turn it to the upside down heart it will make it mono. Idk if its just me but its kinda making me dizzy, not a big deal though. keep up the great content.
good point - I appreciate the tip! I edited this video on speakers so I didn't really hear the impact but now that I hear it on headphones you're right, it's a bit annoying to listen to. The next video I make will have this fixed 🙈🙈
Selling beats for me is difficult because the only people who visit my page on Beatstars is other producers or people trying to sell producer sample packs, and I don't have the heart to transform my Instagram into a beat page or place for beats. I get some sales behind the scenes via DMs or other hook ups.
IMO BeatStars isn't really a great networking/social media platform. Majority of activity I get in terms of likes/comments on my beats is from other producers trying to promote their beats too. I think with BeatStars the people who are browing/buying beats don't participate in the whole 'engagement' side of it, but instead just look through their marketplace and if they find a track they like they'll buy it. I think you're missing out by not having an Instagram account dedicated to your producer brand. I was in a similar situation a few years back where I didn't want to have my personal life/friends & family stuff interact with all my beats business stuff so instead I created a separate, private Instagram for my personal life/friends/family and created an Instagram page just for my beats. That way I can strictly post content about my beats on one account without issue.
@@omitobeats2 Hmmm, i can sit on it and think about creating a page dedicated to my beats. I mostly don't take the leap of faith because I tend to be very diverse as a creative, and also I am not a big social media person. it gets overwhelming to manage multiple accounts which is why i closed some, but I am thinking of just transforming my Tik Tok into a beat page or producer content page and drive traffic to my site.
