Financial decisions are never easy. I hope it is easy. A lot of things to consider, mainly your risk tolerance. It's not as easy as a yes or no decision. I hope you will find peace in this video as I explain how and why we touched our emergency fund in the first place :) I do not encourage you to do the same thing as what I did as, for sure, both of us have different circumstances :)
After all, as long as you're happy with your decision and you can sleep peacefully at night, then everything should fall in place.
All is well, and everything will be just fine :)

Make sure you get regular updates from your contractor. I mention this because nabudol na po kami diyan. Pinili namin yung pinakamura pero after inspection puro mali ang gawa. We end up getting a new contractor to fix the deficiencies and paid more at the end. I also read that you bought an old house; you probably already know this, but make sure to set aside money for repairs.

Curious lang may be you can share that point.

Solid na tipid for the first few years. Get a higher paying job. Jump from one to another until you're satisfied. Upgrading is the key.
Iwas sa resto as much as possible (minsan minsan lang), spend on NEEDS only, which means iwas sa malls ;) at least for the first few years. Pag may partner, it is important na mutual ang goals nyo financially.
Lastly, if kaya mag business. Go.

For sure may back up plan kayo pag hindi nag work out. Not for everyone ang pagiging business person lot of energy, work hard and stress bago mo makuha ang tagumpay. Advantage mo bata ka pa better to start early wala ka pang mga kids iisipin kaya go go 👍👍

Hi Drey, long time no comment. Naging silent viewer na ako..
    Hehehe
1st time ko narinig ung mga high risk profile, dati kasi tawag ko sa akin is a gambler/risk taker which is parehas sayo na high risk taker.
That's why we have to live with our decisions and the consequences that will come with it.
There's always 2 sides of the coin/story/pros and cons, nsa tao na tlaga kung agree ba xa na ma outweigh ng isang decision ang kabilang panig/ can you live ur decision na tingin mong na outweigh ng pros c cons.
More power sa inyo Drey and I know ur doing the best decision for you and your family's situation atm.

Hi Drey, silent viewer mo kami. We watched the past few videos and I know from the title it seems na nakaka-worry. Pero once you explained the situation, though there are some unexpected complications, the fact you have a “plan” on how to address means “you got this” ika nga. I don’t know if some of the negative reactions/opinions ay dahil hindi nila naintindihan that the debt/loss if emergency funds you have is “temporary” and there is actually a plan in place na on how to settle. May “timing difference” lang.
PS: as a fellow accountant, i really appreciate the content and bringing up matters such as “risk profiles (lab it). We are personally more on the low risk side, but to each his own di ba?

Hi silent viewer here. I suppose iba ang rule ng bank dyan as when I got my property theres no such product as improvement fund attached to mortgage. Usually banks will only finance the remaining balance from downpayment after assesment of home value. Unless its other product like HELOC which is average 9% in todays value. Its not possible to get funds from lawyer as they dont have the money as its in trust companies. I may agree to some comment about you being too risky. Using credit card cash advance with 22% is not wise either. Its good to be risky but you should hedge some of your funds.
