I think most of them hate it because even in serious moments, he still acts all happy and whatnot. But honestly, I really like that about his character. It kind of shows that he can stay calm and collected during very crucial moments, which doesn't cause panic, which in turn, doesn't cause him to make stupid mistakes most of the time.
It did and even in the Manga it did. Judai's decent into Darkness doesn't result in him being an evil king but rather disrespecting Koyo's cards during his duel with Reggie as a result of his anger towards her. Ashamed of his own actions Judai uses Masked Heroes instead until the final duel against Tragoedia.
He wasn't happy in the last seasons but that shows how much he developed. We can all relate to him in one way or another. People usually choose Yugi or Yusei as there favorite protagonist. I'll rather not follow them and choose Judai lol
We can be great friends then. It angers me how bonds beyond time focused on yusei and yugi mostly. Judai obviously has the best skills tbh and that movie proved it.
Joey is actually a better duelist than we give him credit for. He doesn't have reality altering powers like Atem, or the money to get whatever card he want like Kaiba, he has to rely on his skill alone
Joey is almost dead and what does kaiba say? "If Joey (Jonuchi) dies here... i'll have to admit that he is a true duelist" That gave me some mix feelings
Morfo Cell I thought it was cool. Kaiba actually shows respect to Joey. Until then he only ever respected himself and to a small extent Yugi. He never gave Joey any credit and always treated him like he was trash, yet when Joey proves his worth by surviving Ra and damn near beating Marik, Kaiba finally admits he was wrong about Joey and puts respect on his name. And considering the kind of guy he is, that’s pretty significant. Even though he wasn’t exactly sympathetic towards Joey after he died, Kaiba wasn’t exactly a sympathetic guy. I think this moment really showed significant growth for Kaiba’s character, and without it I’m not sure he would have come back to help Yugi beat Marik. Unfortunately, the dub ruined it. I think Kaiba’s character development really was a huge reason why Battle City was so great, but the dub basically erased most of it and kept him as a stubborn jerk, even after the Noah arc.
its really sad how judai became so cold in season 4. Everytime he dueled someone would die or get hurt which is why he lost the joy of dueling. The ending was so satisfying because yugi teaches jaden that dueling is all about having fun and makes jaden come back to his old self.
Not in a Special order •Zane's death •Atem depart last duel •Jaden & Alexis last night •Kaito's Death •Vector going inside Don thousand after taking off from Yuma •Kiryuu Death •Bruno's Death •Aporia Death •Zone Death •Ryo Death •Mind controled Joey vs Yugi •Jack & Carly confession •Team 5DS going their own ways to the future (like really, future colors didnt help at all, fkn nostalgia) •Jaden's voice reaching humanity in the darkness
Especially Judai! Man’s went through a living hell that it changed him completely. The main cause of that was when he gave in to the darkness in his heart, turned evil and became Haō and started torturing and murdering thousands of innocent people 😭 😬. After all that was over, we see Judai having serious ptsd every time he drew 融合 (fusion) and 超融合 (super fusion) and was so horrified because that card was what caused him to turn evil. And now the depression is also from this incident. Judai was never really able to forgive himself for all the crimes he committed (which was all the mass genocide). He feels bad and guilty, but there’s no way to bring back those people that he killed now. He’ll always be haunted by them as long as he’s alive and he knows that, but the only way to atone for your crimes is to keep loving on no matter how painful it may be. Damn, that was long but I just wanted to state them cuz they’re important
@@1237Noah and it’s honestly just sad. Come on guys, Judai isn’t a pure hearted duelist anymore. (Yes, he’s my favorite character, but even I gotta admit it): He literally committed mass genocide by torturing and murdering thousands of innocent people (just to try to complete 超融合 (super fusion), the card that caused him to turn evil 😈 in the first place. But yeah! Not funny at all cuz even Judai himself was horrified and disgusted when he realized what he did during his reign as Haō (after his friends brought him back to his normal self). He was so scared to the point where he couldn’t even touch the regular fusion card or even look at it, cuz it reminded him of using fusion monsters to hurt and kill people while he was still Haō 😬. Also, he couldn’t even forgive himself and literally got depression mainly from THAT. Damn! Poor guy! He’s gone through hell and back. He saw way too much. But yeah! That’s that
Yugioh Everything after watching 5Ds you just get this feeling of having experienced an incredible journey. The characters in that show were really well written and the story lines were also really great and exciting. What makes the ending that much more saddening is that you get to see everyone's future and how their life turned out. But you also get this really hopeful vibe from the ending. It just symbolises how no matter how strong your bonds are, in the end you always have to go your own way.
I think it's because of the way it shows how they're all going to continue with their lives and what they'll be doing. Kind of makes the viewer really want to see more, then the realization that it's the end is a bit sad. Something along those lines i think.
Pretty much Shooting Star Dragon (love Primo's reaction total im screwed face) and Leo becoming a signer will be on that list. And Shun's first duel getting Rise Falcon to an absurd amount of attack points from 100 to 16,300
I would probably put Z-ONE's death in personally. He was a good guy, who sincerely tried his hardest to save as many people as he could. But after he realised his own powerlessness, he lost hope. He carried on trying to save people, but gave up his utopic ideals to despair and looked for a more logical solution. After losing to Yusei, he finally found hope again, but wasn't able to see it through because he sacrificed his life to save Yusei and everyone else and right his wrongs. He didn't get a lot of screen-time, but he was a good character and his ending was both emotional and heart warming at the same time.
Yes. Not much more to say really Z-One was a guy who lived on his own at the end of time and gave his own life so humanity could have a chance. Now I think of it, Z-One is basically the Doctor hell he even uses Timelords.
Yes! I thought Z-ONE's story was so sad and tragic. I really didn't want him to die. It was sadder still that he died the last human from his time, as he told Yusei "I'm so alone."
I think his loneliness is actually important, because if you look at all the yugioh protagonists, they were all lonely (in the beginning). It really emphasises how he was a good guy, but lost to his grim fate. Truly a tragic character
I do to because his character design was clearly based off of Doctor Who. I like that his name translates to Z (I.E "Last" letter) + One to reflect his place as the last survivor of his own race another aspect from Dr. Who and his Timelord deck. Beautiful details like that out to be commended.
10. Yusei losing to Kalin for the first time and being badly injured. 9. Carly's death scene. 8. Marik being abused and longing to have a good life away from his dad. 7. Yusei's adopted mother being abosrbed by an earthbound immortal. 6. Alito's death by Girag. 5. Yuto dying and being absorbed. 4. Astral dying after being stabbed by Number 96 in spear form. 3. Quattro's death after his duel with Nash. 2. Quinton and Trey's self sacrifice to stop the Barian's and the fact that they knew they were going to die. 1. Kite dying.
I think the saddest thing about Carly's "death" is that it was her last big hurrah. She was a pretty good character; it pisses me off that she just went back to being comic relief after the Dark Signer arc.
Kinda funny (in an ironic way) how your Number 1 most saddest moment and death is the demise of an android. Come to think of it Bruno and Android 16 from DBZ have a lot in common. The most notable being that they where created and designed after someone the creator knew from the past and made to be enemy of the Protagonist but in the end went a against said functions and died permanently. Both in shows where "death" really isn't a consequence or permanent.
The part about Bruno’s death that hurt the most was the reaction of the group finding out. Crow and Aki were visibly shook, Rua and Ruka were horrified, and Jack was so livid he ordered Yusei to defeat Z-ONE in revenge stating he couldn’t stand by and let someone use his friend as a shield.
I only ever watched Duel Monsters and GX, but to me, the GX ending killed me. How it was so obvious that Asuka (Alexis) was deeply in love with Judai (Jaden), and just her dejectedness as she realized that Judai just couldn't see her feelings. Having a happy ending where Judai and Asuka left to adventure the world together would've made the whole thing perfect to me
10: Kaiba is captured by the seal 9: Yugi is captured by the seal 8: Joey near death scene 7: Kisara death. 6: Lua death 5: Amon death. 4: Atem leaves. 3: Carly death 2: Aporia death 1: ZONE death.
Bruno's death is definitely one of the saddest moments, not only for what happens leading up to and soon after. But right as 5D's was ending, on the final episode, right after watching everyone go their own ways, we get a shot of Bruno's visor sitting right by the WRGP trophy. Giving us a proper final goodbye to him as well. "Gone, but not forgotten" comes to mind, and it brings tears to my eyes when I see it.
I wouldn't be able to make that list without fitting in at least 7 scenes from Zexal, there were a lot of sad moments like the deaths of Shark, Alito, Vector, IV, III and V, Tron, Kaito, Astral, Mizael...and I mean, Challenge The GAME made a lot !
Same III and IV's especially. I think what does that for me is how they reveal at the end they stranded Mizael in the duel just so Yuma and Kaito could escape. Then you hear that Faith That Carries on Music.
One of the saddest scenes in my opinion is Bruno's death scene, Yuya breaking down in the duel against Yuri, Yami Yugi doing into the afterlife and Kito/Kite death in Zexal II.
When I was a kid i thought the dub ending to Yu Gi Oh GX was the worst thing ever. Because they never continued it, and it ended with Cyrus implying the Jaden died, and he was my favorite character at the time so the fact that they supposedly ended it so terribly really crushed my child heart
If I were to give Saw 1 victory it'd probably be against BB. Crow had no reason to be there imo, and it would've been nice to see the final development of his unique take on entertainment dueling pay off. Shockingly, I think he had one of the better jabs at Z-arc during Zarc-fest!
That duel with Aporia is easily my #1. Throughout all of 5Ds, I felt this weird protectiveness toward the twins, making any point when they were in danger the most impactful points in the show for me. When Rua sacrificed himself like that, there was so much emotion in the act, in the score, in the fact that it was an extremely painful pierce to the heart, that I really just felt probably more than I have in any story. Ruka's reaction to it just made it all the more agonizingly beautiful to watch. It's crazy just how much it impacted me. Absolutely beautiful moment.
1.Dennis carding himself 2.ignis seeing the destroyed 3.yugo’s dule runner being destroyed by Rin 4.bruno dieing at the end of 5D’s 5.jadens entire story 6.carly and Kalin’s dark signer deaths 7.leo dieing 8.all barian backstorys 9.atem leaves (also do you guys count this as a death scene because technically atem went to the afterlife) 10.yubel’s back story -how about top ten awsone scenes in yugioh-
aa for me the saddest moment(s?) in yugioh would be in zexal when astral dies and goes back to the astral world in a sort of coma because at the time we didnt kno that he was still alive somewhere all we saw was him reaching for yuuma one last time (after sacrificing himself for him !!) then dissolving into dust. what really gets to me is the episodes after this scene because its so obvious that yuuma is suffering from severe depression from seeing astral die right in front of him. then their reunion scene where yuuma hugs astral and says he wont let go ever again....... that always makes me tear up
The second duel between Jesse and Zane would likely be high on anyone's list of favorite GX duels. For me,it's number one for plenty of reasons.First, the background colors were beautiful. The mixture of purple and pink of the sunset was perfect,as the sunset represented Zane's life slowly but surely coming to an end.The x-ray shots of Zane's heart we see throughout the Duel made it clear that Zane was less than 22 minutes away from dying, that he was mere minutes from death.I love that,as Season 3 progressed,we see these x-ray shots of Zane's heart occasionally. And those back-and-forth counters made the Duel pretty suspenseful, because whenever Zane landed what seemed like a finishing blow,Jesse saved himself by countering what was thrown at him.
So the Original Yugioh is the only one that I've watched dubbed instead of subbed. I never knew that Joey actually died there. So after seeing this video, I went to watch it, and the episode is literally called ''Jounochi dies''. Wow. Now I really need to watch the entirety of the original series in Japanese.
For me top 3 is 3. When Yami Yugi (Atem) lost against Rafael and says :«It should have been me. Not him. It's not fair. Yugi... Came back!!!!» 2.When Yami Yugi (Atem) wins against Yugi and Yugi says :«I'm always with you...» and when Atem start crying 1.When Atem goes to the afterlife Ithink that this is the saddest moment in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
I think the reason Jaden's story may not work for some is that most of the fans I talk to don't watch the subs, and therefore never got to see that hardened season 4 version. I also know people who never got past season 1 because they hated him and the writing that much. Seeing the transformation across all four seasons makes its place on this list very understandable.
I think the bigger problem you'll have is the Manga did a much better job giving Jaden a character arc. He inherits his E-Hero deck from Koyo Hibiki and when he loses his temper in his duel against Reggie (after she sent Koyo into a coma and cheated against Midori) he feels he dishonored Koyo's memory and decides to operate his masked hero deck. It's only at the final duel against Tragoedia that he uses the E-Heroes once more. Then that duel in the SP manga where Jaden faced Koyo was badass.
@@granmastersword Yeah buddy, I will say though I do love GX Series 3 overall because it was the darkest and most powerful arc alongside 4. The Masked Heroes were awesome in the Manga.
Out of topic but two things I absolutely adore about Zexal episodes 134-135 (aside from Kaito’s awesome death scenes and his speech) are Mizael’s character development and Orbital 7’s death. Now before this episode Mizael made it pretty clear that he looked down on human in general; he pretty much had a hard time to accept that he was once human and there’s a lot of anger from him after he experienced his past. Thanks to Kaito’s kindness and action though Mizael saw the strength of humanity, he was moved by how far Kaito was willing to sacrifice himself and decided to place his trust in humanity. In the aftermath Kaito only told Mizael to “follow the path you believe in”; Mizael could have just helped Don Thousand and hold onto Number 100, instead Mizael believed in Kaito and Yuma, gave Yuma the key card to win against Don Thousand and accepted his “human side”. Orbital 7 was also treated pretty well. I honestly loved their relationship since the beginning, so I‘m glad much they had such a powerful scene in their last ‘moment’. It was heartbreaking to watch Orbital 7 risking his whole life to protect Kaito from any major harm. Sure Kaito did programme him that way, but still we all can tell that Orbital 7 truly loves Katio dearly. Orbital 7 is a gag character, but I do think he is perhaps the best robot character in Yu-gi-oh. It kinda made me a bit sad that hardly anyone mention Orbital 7’s death when episode 135 is brought up. Overall Zexal episode 134-135 are two of my favourite episodes in Yu-gi-oh. The only downside is the duel writing, but aside from that everything else is prefect.
Acey * I know right, I’m always on the verge of tears myself watching that especially since they’re my favorites, seeing Yugi get taken away and Atem getting so broken down is such a heartbreaking sight for me.😣😣😞😞💔💔💔
I thought that yuto first being absorbed into Yuma for the first time pretty sad because at the time, I thought he died and yuto is my favourite yugioh character, plus the music was sad sounding. It wasn't called yutos passionate soul for no reason...
I think what makes Kaito's death sadder is we were get subtle hints in episodes before this duel he was dying anyway and I think Kaito knew he was going to die soon anyway and fully accepted that, which is he why he continued the duel.
I’m so late but whatever. Better late than never right? Anyways, Kaito’s death 💀 was so sad because even his dad and his brother couldn’t do ANYTHING to save him 😭. All they could do was watch on screen as he helplessly died. Also, it was more sad than anything because even Mizael shed a tear. And they’re like enemies of each other 🥲😢
Nice reasoning for the number 1 spot. My personal saddest moment is Tron's death. I think it was quite heartwarming and I was happy to see Tron push aside revenge for the sake of his family.
I'm gonna have to say, as an additional choice: -Nash/Shark's death in ZEXAL 143, since the music that played really set up the mood, as the fact that we really got to know Shark throughout the series, and see all the trouble he's been through. And when he finally admits to Yuma he's his best friend really struck me in the heart, followed by Yuma screaming his name. 😢
My Top 5 5. Playmaker defeats Blue Angel (Vrains) 4. Aki Izayoi's backstory (5ds) 3. Zane's death (GX) 2. Rio and Dumon lose to Vector (Zexal) 1. Aoi and Miyu's friendship (Vrains)
1. Zane's death in GX(Eng version) 2. Kite's death in Zexal 3. Atem loses Yugi after he was defeated by Rafael (DM) 4. Jaden says goodbye to Syrus and fuses with Yubel in GX(Eng version) 5. Atem leaves to Spirit world.(DM) 6. Carlys death in 5ds. My top 6 saddest moments
Seeing my man Jaden beat everyone in one turn during the last tournament, it really put the past "three years" into perspective and showed how much his character changed and how he lost the passion and the worry his teammate (Alexis) had for him and the little regard he gave to any help be received Somber yet badass mood, hard feels
I definitely agree that Bruno's death was the saddest. One sad moment for me was the battle with Zarc, where Sora tries to get through to Yuya and fails. Poor guy trying to save his best friend. Other deaths like Aporia and Zone are tragic and really tearjerkers. Especially when you find out about what They suffered in the future.
ClassyUlysses don't remember her crying maybe tears but yeah this or the ending is the saddest moment they could make movies of the rest of the franchise give us closure of the Light of destruction and all the ships
Excellent top 10 as always mate. No matter how many Top 10's you do, the 'Number X' voice has to be my second favourite voice you do :/ I'd have to say the only scene that ever made me feel really emotional/sad was the end of Duel Monsters. No matter how many times I watch those final 4 episodes still gets me. I feel like that would be 100% different if Arc V wasn't the first show i'd watched subbed - missing out on so many episodes from GX, 5Ds and obviously the censorship and change in context the dub brings to fit that audience, and make events seem less impactful than the originally were intended. Might have to go back and watch the final arc of 5D's at some point :)
Thanks Brad! Yea the DM ending was definitely sad.. Yeah the dub definitely makes them less dramatic since their target audience is much younger than the japanese version
RealMelodyHope I know right, as great as it was that he was back where he belongs, it’s so heartbreaking knowing our favorite DM character was leaving never to return so sad.😞😞😞😞
Hold the phone, Rio and Kaito both make the list but Shark doesn't? That one gets me every time, it is a heartbreaking conclusion after everything the pair had been through.
Wow this is really an emotional list and I absolutely love your choices, especially number one. That scene still makes me bawl every time I watch it. Also I appreciated how much you respect and love Judai's character development b/c I thought I was alone on that
1 - Atem using the Seal of Orichalcos and losing plus losing Yugi is the saddest moment in Yugioh (even if he was able to save him later on) 2 - Atem Leaving
As a Kaito fanboy his death is my saddest but hands down on Joeys and Brunos, the fact how Joey practicaly won the duel got me the most and Tristans reaction to all of it killed me, also what could have made Brunos even more tragic was if we had seen something like a flashback of little kid Bruno meeting Yusei or if at the end of 5ds the night before everyone went their own ways we would have seen little kid Bruno
Here's mine and I'm only doing 5: Shark's death - I like Shark so much. Didn't deserve such a horrible death. Having to fight Yuma because Don Thousand basically possessed him. That feels so tragic. He was another caught in the crossfire. Carly's death - I hated her and all, but a completely innocent character dying is the tragic part for me. She didn't deserve being treated that badly. She was killed, brung back as a Dark Signer with so much confusion, and didn't want to kill Jack. Tragic Joey's death - I genuinely hate Joey, but WOW. That's a sad scene. Not as powerful as the next two, but... Idk what to say. At all. Bruno and Kaito - Tied for first btw. Bruno was a great character in 5D's and it felt like I died inside because... He was so prominent. You actually get to know the two sides of Bruno, and it's such a tragic scene because although it was instant, it was a moment that hit everyone hard, especially Yusei. And for Kaito... I have a massive bias for him and all but that's such a horrible way to go. Not only was so many people watching (Yuma, Astral and Tori, His younger brother and father, Mizar) it, but OH. MY. GOD. Everyone else at least had nice final moments without too much suffering, or just some pain. Imagine not being able to BREATHE. And everyone is watching it. INCLUDING YOUR FAMILY. It's tragic. Probably the worst way to go out of everyone (At least for main characters)
Thank you or the recommendation of seeing Joey's in Sub! Also, for me, I can't do anything but cry every time I see the final part of Yusei vs Rudger(Roman - I think was in the dub). That speach Yusei has showing that "darkness" he hides. How much he blames his father or how much guilt he has. In my opinion, It's a really strong Yusei moment that make me love this character. When people tell me Yusei is a Gary Sue, I always put this moment to show them that he isn't and he's lack of character development is because he already is a complex person. Thank you very much! Greetings from Argentina. PD: I agree with the moments of this list. And appreciate that there are others who see Judai story the way I do.
My top 10 Saddest moments: 10 - Amelda and Valon past (japanese only) Not popular characters but I didn't know their real stories, different in french version. But I will never forget the church on fire or Amelda's brother death 9 - Aki past 8 - Zexal ending (I weep with joy when ALL DEAD CHARACTERS are back !!!!) Maybe it's ridiculous but I don't care. 7 - Shark death in his final duel 6 - Vector and Mizael deaths in ep 138 5 - Durbe death 4 - Mizael past (he was cute younger but I WISH KNOW MORE ABOUT HIS FAMILY !!!! With Lamenting Barian for OST, it's perfect to remember this scene ! And I cried Kaito death in the same episode) 3 - Yusei past (when he was a baby saved by his father before the destruction) 2 - 5D's ending (I weed with joy again for Yusei x Aki scene and say goodbye to everyone... Best end ever...) 1 - Alito death* *I know it's crazy, I just discover him in ep 130 with his past (sad story too) and duel with Yuma, I fall in love him and 3 episodes later... I LOOSE HIM ALREADY !! (tissues 💦) And no saddest moments in Arcv and for GX, I don't remember Haha. Rest In Peace.
#10 had me shook! Didn't see it coming straight out xD My own top 10 just revolves around GX and DM 10. Scenes of Kaiba being abused as a child 9. Aster just straight up shedding tears when he realizes he's been exploited by the father figures he had, and when he finally said bye bye to his dad's soul trapped inside Bloo-D 8. Zane's death in Dark World 7. Aster's death in Dark World 6. Yugi sacrificing himself and paying for Atem's mistakes 5. Everybody in GX growing up and finding their own path 4. Jaden's character development 3. Kisara's death 2. Every single Seto and Mokuba struggling moment 1. Atem leaving forever
I wholeheartly agree with number 1, especially since Bruno basically was teaching Yusei the entire duel. Also the fact that he was truly dead afterwards was brutal. Carly and Kiryu's death was almost on the same level for me but the whole dark singer arc was sad (Gregor losing his village, Mysty's revenge plot knowing she would never see her brother again, Carly and Kiryu's subplot and all the events that happened to the people of Satellite during this arc) Suprisingly I forgot about how Judai/Jaden transformation over the seasons took place. Season 4 he was definately a "shadow" of his old self. Zane's death was also impactful but expected as it was foreshadowed that he was going to die. To me the sadest moment is in fact when Yami said goodbye to the others and when Yugi got trapped in the great Leviathan instead of the pharoah. Joey's death was not really sad more of a OMG moment for me (but I guess the abridged series kinda ruined its impact for me) When Rio died in Zexal, I felt nothing (actually I was not a fan of her or Kotori's characters). When Kaito died (he was one of the few members of the main cast I liked) I was floored and then pissed for a while. ARC V had Yuusho's carding in front of Yuuya, Dennis's self carding and Yuuto's "death" but in comparison to the other four series the death scenes were not as impactful. They could have done something with Zarc but oh well
Hey, Dylan! Wow, from 40 to 10 :o. This is going to be a really good video! Ryo's death was really impactful! All of the dark singers Arc was really good, it Kiryu was one of the saddest storylines for the dark signers. Depression is really nothing to scoff at. And I think Judai was one of the best character types to tell that with. I do think that Ruka was part of the reason why Rua's death was so impactful. That along with Rua's lifeless eyes, including the fact that they were so young. I feel like Carly was dragged into this whole thing unfairly, which gave depth to her character, and made this even sadder. I just wish more could have been done with Carly. I really did feel bad for Bruno. It's unfortunate that someone's life was played with like that, just for Zone's plan, and Zone didn't even succeed.
10. Judai leaving Duel Academy (GX) 9. Tron's death (Zexal) 8. Kiryuu's death (5D's) 7. Carly's death (5D's) 6. Rio's death (Zexal) 5. Shark's death (Zexal) 4. Ryo Marifuji's death (GX) 3. Kaito's death (Zexal) 2. Bruno's death (5D's) 1. Atem's goodbye (Duel Monsters)
I have a short answer: All of Zexal II. Who watched all of it will know what I mean.... :D To leave it with an example: Rio's situation in II near the end and Shark's reaction to it (to name one?)
I hope so too I have so many dreams of that happening every night, that would be a dream come true to me and the greatest anime moment ever, I love Atem so much!😃😃😄😄😊😊❤️💕❤️💕
the saddest scene for me was the berserker soul moment, cause when you think about it, when atem overkills weevil, he kills the ONLY source of info that could lead him to yugi, and just before that moment weevil made atem think that yugi had been erased, that is genuine, unfiltered, primal rage coming out of atem. which is an emotion that we had never truly seen from him before.
123myst Tell me about it I can’t even bring myself to watch that horrible moment, I really hated Weevil after that and poor Atem never deserved any of that!
I agree with pretty much every single one you mentioned. The others that I can think of: - Crow realizing that everyone, including the children died in 5ds. (I think it was right after his duel with Lazar). - Yusei's rage toward Rutger (Roman) Godwin, and the way he blamed Zero Reverse and himself for the death of many, including the parents of his friends. - Judai's first transformation to Supreme King, when all his friends blamed him for their pain. - Atem's sadness for losing Yugi's soul because he used the Orichalcos. - Aki's story in the first season of 5D's. All of it. - The ending of 5Ds. (well, it was more emotional than sad.)
SuperStuffliker Don't worry, I got lost after the first season of GX. I'm trying to get caught up on all the new summoning techniques, cards, and shows. lol.
SuperStuffliker Yea I got bored after the first season. I'll have to re watch it sometime in the original Japanese. I've seen 2 episodes of 5Ds, the only character I liked was the girl with the Rose Dragon card. And for Zexal, I never got to see it, cause the channel it was on canceled their Saturday Morning block.
I was expecting the scene where Yami has an emotional breakdown after Yugi was taken by the Seal of Orichalcos from Yugioh Duel Monsters to be on the list. I remember seeing it as a kid and feeling so bad for Yami because he stood and watched as someone he cared about so much was taken away by an evil force and he was responsible for it. This scene should've been on the list, not too high up on the list, maybe at the #7 or #8 spots, it was a sad scene but it wasn't that heartwrenching
I think Yusei´s invincibility is played up abit too much. Sure, only one duel had a negative on screen result for him.But there were two training duels were he tried to test a new summon method (against Jack and against Antinomy) and both of them stopped the duel at a point were they most likely would have beaten him.
Couldn't agree more with the Jaden entry. I can't believe the Axel entry didn't make it. Calling for your mom and dad while your burning alive? My top 5 would be: 1) Axel being destroyed by Trueman 2) Atem saying goodbye. 3) The 3 Emperor's of Iliaster (back story) 4) Ryoga learning about his barian past and accepting it. Also Vector's past. 5) The entire XYZ dimension with Yuto and Syun in Arc-V.
I just saw that episode recently, and I agree, O'Brien's backstory is fucking sad, and Trueman being a douche and transforming into his father and pretty much tormenting his thoughts of guilt was powerful. Gotta love O'Brien.
Trueman himself may have been dark and twisted but O'brien crying out for his mom and dad and realizing he's a bad son? There's something very tragic about it. Kind of like Vector's back story. You can look at it as twisted, or feel bad for the character. Either way though.
Yea really sad. One of my favorite duels as it perfectly combines playing the game with telling a story. O'Brien is the man, I felt really bad when at the end he thinks he's a bad son, and cries out for his mom and dad.
I cried at: Kite's *(Dub)* Death Carly's *(Dub, obviously)* Death. And when Carly's like: "The Netherworld is calling me. I'd better get going", she's... innocent, yet *SO* brave in my opinion, and I just... I find myself wanting to: Take Vector from Zexal on, in a Seal of Orichalcos Shadow Duel, in the Holographic Colosseum where Yugi and Kaiba battled in Battle City Finals, equip Armed Samurai - Ben Kei, with Lightning Blade, Fusion Sword Murasame Blade, Divine Sword Phoenix Blade, and Mage Power, and slam him with 22,000 damage; 4,400 × 5 direct attacks, and just... *Incinerate* him - On Carly's behalf of course.
For me the saddest moment is when Yugi took Atems place after losing to Raphael during the Orichalchos arc. One of the only moments in yugioh that actually made me cry.
Who can definitely relate to Judai?Being a happy, friendly and positive person but something happens in your life and you become a different person whether you become a depressing person or a negative person.
Another awesome list Dylan! I'm surprised though there wasn't anything from Arc-V considering how dark some of the stuff was. Also, with #1, especially since it's one of the few permanent deaths of the franchise. Anyways, how close were those moments were to making the Top 10? - Tron's death (ZEXAL) - Yuto's death (ARC-V) - Shun's life after Academia destroyed his home (ARC-V) - Aki's life (5Ds) - Yugi sacrificing his soul to protect Atem (DM) - Edo's dad's death (GX) - Pegasus' wife's death (DM) - Yusei's last time being able to speak to his father during Z-ONE duel (5Ds) Also, do you think we'll see plenty of sad moments during VRAINS?
I hope VRains delivers with the sad moments.. So in order, -20-29 range - Top 15 - Didnt make preliminary for me - Didnt make preliminary for me -Top 15 - Didnt make preliminary for me - Didnt make preliminary for me - Didnt make preliminary for me A lot of them I just didnt think of.. Jeez there certainly are ALOT of sad scenes lol
Excellent video as always! I could not make a list like this. So many great and sad moments in all YGO! I'll say that Jonouchi and Yugi's scenes always make me literally cry. Carly scene was really well done, too. I totally agree with most part of the list, and even when not, it's always really cool to hear you talk about the parts you liked. Probably I'll go with Atem in first place (that's what I tried to say before, Atem not Yugi). As a side not, if you're going to watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, BEWARE OF THE FEELS. Obviously not going to spoil it, but there are really great and sad scenes in that anime too. In every part. Thanks again for the video, always makes the day better!
well atem was already dead ... hahaha. everyone else returned because "a wizard did it" , except bruno. gosh zexal was so ... sad and disturbing. everyone was dying and the ending for each episode, god what was wrong with the producers, was that a kid show? i cried a couple of times because the scenes they put were so strong. of course they had to come back, only arc V failed on that trick hahahaha XD
kingkaiser95 Nasch defeating Vector with Number C73 oughta be in the top 3 of that list. The music was absolutely spot on at that moment, and the fact that C73 was summoned during the Battle Phase when Vector couldn't see it coming was just totally amazing. Number 1? Yusei toppling Z-One with a Stardust Dragon that got as high as 23,000 ATK.
#8 is the reason why I fell in love with Yu-Gi-oh and why I'm here commenting on this video at this very moment. So glad you included it in your list 😊
The only time I cried with Yugioh was the ending of Noah' s Arc, before reaching the battle city finals. I guess I am the only one who liked Noah and that filler arc.
Yugioh Everything I knew Joey's death would be top 3 but I felt more anger than sadness with it. So gutted that he didn't get credit for the win because was the better duelist and didn't rely on a god to beat Ra. I would argue he's #5 on my top 5 in all of Yugioh!
I love this list Dylan beautifully done. My own top 10 may as well just be a Yu-Gi-Oh! hit list. 10. Joey's death - Orichalcos Arc (Silly arc but the build up and execution of Joey losing his soul was just so well done). 9. Edo's "Death" 8. D̶i̶v̶i̶n̶e̶s̶ ̶D̶e̶a̶t̶h̶.̶.̶.̶l̶o̶l̶, Seriously though Kalin's death. 7. Crow Vs Jose, Last Turn 6. Atem's Farewell 5. Zane Truesdale's death 4. Z-One's death 3. III and V's death 2. Bruno's death 1. Kaito Tenjo's death
5ds was so emotional.
Kyle Tran
Ok...I'm a little bit lost with #9. So does Kalin get revived like Carly? Or does he stay dead like Bruno?
CrystalOtaku93 he gets revived after the Goodwin duel because all the dark signers get revived
Kyle Tran
Yeah but is he back to his old self, before the whole insanity thing?
Yeah. I think it's his duel with Yusei that changes his personality as he knows the other side of his story.
5Ds is pretty good, but I think that Zexal to me was most emotional to me cause of all the chars that died (they get revived later on)
I honestly don't see how people can despise judai's character. It had such a great development
I 100% agree, I think he had the greatest development out of any Yugioh character
ChaosXDGamer or just luck
Jonouchi was my favorite character in DM after Atem.
Moda1106 my favorite was tea Kappa
Without any egyptian god card
I Was looking forward to seeing him in dark dimensions
Joey is almost dead and what does kaiba say?
"If Joey (Jonuchi) dies here... i'll have to admit that he is a true duelist"
That gave me some mix feelings
Morfo Cell
I thought it was cool.
Or with LK's words:
Kaiba: "Mokuba, if Joey wins this duel you can have the company"
Mokuba: "Let's go Moku-soft!"
That's probably the hardest and sincerest kind word for kaiba
You mean, "Hey Guys, let's never speak of how I touched Joey"?
its really sad how judai became so cold in season 4. Everytime he dueled someone would die or get hurt which is why he lost the joy of dueling. The ending was so satisfying because yugi teaches jaden that dueling is all about having fun and makes jaden come back to his old self.
Martin Slint Alexis got him on the right path it was sad when they were alone after
When Atem left, I cried for 2 hours straight when I first saw it... I still cry for like half an hour
Silver Prince dang man
i'm so glad im not the only one that still does despite watching from the OG times till now lol
Im with you. I just rewatched all of dual monsters and i cried for a good 10 minutes
Silver Prince
I can't even watch it!
Have you watched Dark side of dimensions? Because I strongly recommend it, I was jumping out of my seat at one part and I think you would too
#5 ''I think this is the only other non-death scene on this list, it's the moment where Atem departs to the afterlife''
Umm...
HAHAHAHA wow I'm an idiot xD I always figured there was a difference between willingly dying and forcefully dying but it is the same thing in essence
but Atem wasn't dead "literally" he was a spirit
I didn't notice that while watching, lol. Wow, that's great!
I guess technically Atem was already dead, he was just moving on to the afterlife.
I guess you can consider this passing on?
Not in a Special order
•Zane's death
•Atem depart last duel
•Jaden & Alexis last night
•Kaito's Death
•Vector going inside Don thousand after taking off from Yuma
•Kiryuu Death
•Bruno's Death
•Aporia Death
•Zone Death
•Ryo Death
•Mind controled Joey vs Yugi
•Jack & Carly confession
•Team 5DS going their own ways to the future (like really, future colors didnt help at all, fkn nostalgia)
•Jaden's voice reaching humanity in the darkness
Great list!
what about Bakura?
Didn’t Kaiba get killed?
Bruno's death is the saddest
I personally think that Ryoga's (Nacsh) death is one of the saddest.
Season 4 of GX. It sad seeing all the characters grow up and find their way.
The saddest part is that it wasn’t dubbed
Do you love kito
@@narutoninjagoandtheflashar4256 People always forgets Judai is a war criminal in the dark dimension due to all the murders he did
@@1237Noah and it’s honestly just sad. But yeah! That’s that
For me it will always be the 5Ds ending... I literally cannot watch those last 4 minutes without tearing up! 😢😢.
Yeah that ending almost made this for me, its definitely saddening for whatever reason!
FUCK YEAH DUDE ITS HELLA SAD ;~;
@@mehrakeh YEAH DUDE
who wants to see top 10 BADASS MOMENTS in YuGiOh?
A Gott Hell Yeah, 5Ds is the best show
chi zhang is the best spin-off. nothing compares to DM because without DM the rest cannot exist
DetectiveDuelista You know, just because it's the first one doesn't make it the best to everyone.
A Gott lmao yea!
1. Kite dying.
Couldn't agree more with number 2.
WHAT? KITE DIED?
Yes, after his last duel with Mizar on the moon.
You love zexal mate
STOP THE CANDY MAKER- KAITO LIVED. You see him in Arc - V episode 100 or 101
The saddest scene for me in the entire series would be Bruno's death in 5DS 😢
Great scene
mine too
Definitely. Bruno's death made me sob for hours
He dead in black hole
Dang the moment when you realize that 5ds had a lot of deaths it has a lot of feels in it
Yes.. 5Ds and Zexal had so many deaths, at least 20 combined
Hey, you got NEXT Form Black Heart from Megadimension Neptunia as your PFP
Having a happy ending where Judai and Asuka left to adventure the world together would've made the whole thing perfect to me
Yu-Gi-Oh where your ships are the titanic and the writers are the iceberg.
Ryan Barker pretty sure Zexal is the only one that happens but it's only implied and probably didn't but in our mind all of them happened
@@Deathmare235 5D's was also implied in the end of the sub but yeah those are the only two.

3: Carly death
2: Aporia death
1: ZONE death.
Atem's departure is #1 for Heartbreaking but so perfect.
It is a really sad, iconic moment
Exactly!
Zexal definitely had a lot of great deaths
Same III and IV's especially. I think what does that for me is how they reveal at the end they stranded Mizael in the duel just so Yuma and Kaito could escape. Then you hear that Faith That Carries on Music.
We couldn't agree more, this is exactly how I feel about this scene, the music is full of sadness and hope at the same time, amazing.
Absolutely mate :)
Joeri sama - So agree.
Great list. Personally I would have put Hell Kaiser's death a little higher and replaced Rio's death with IV's death, but great list nonetheless.
#1 sawatari's W/L ratio.
HA
As a Sawatari fanboy I cant argue with that, still brings me to tears
edwin serrano but sadly that wasn't even a moment it was a series of moments *kappa*
i legit want to see how the security fodder otked him off-screen

-how about top ten awsone scenes in yugioh-
Mimmic Tube Aoi gets possessed by DIO
aa for me the saddest moment(s?) in yugioh would be in zexal when astral dies and goes back to the astral world in a sort of coma because at the time we didnt kno that he was still alive somewhere all we saw was him reaching for yuuma one last time (after sacrificing himself for him !!) then dissolving into dust. what really gets to me is the episodes after this scene because its so obvious that yuuma is suffering from severe depression from seeing astral die right in front of him. then their reunion scene where yuuma hugs astral and says he wont let go ever again....... that always makes me tear up
Yeah the Astral death almost made this! Definitely a sad moment
Just a prince with a mustache in the dub he passed out and basically had a coma
For me top 3 is
3. When Yami Yugi (Atem) lost against Rafael and says :«It should have been me. Not him. It's not fair. Yugi... Came back!!!!»
2.When Yami Yugi (Atem) wins against Yugi and Yugi says :«I'm always with you...» and when Atem start crying
1.When Atem goes to the afterlife Ithink that this is the saddest moment in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
Elena Neagu
I can’t agree more to that those are all so heartbreaking to me, oh Atem. *Whimpers like a puppy*😣😣😞😞💔💔💔
Arc v when Dennis cards himself
Yeah that was one of the sadder scenes from Arc-V
You don't need to say that. It's his opinion.
You don't need to say that. It's his opinion.
You don't need to say that. It's his opinion.
To say with Alexis words:
oh no :|
I think the reason Jaden's story may not work for some is that most of the fans I talk to don't watch the subs, and therefore never got to see that hardened season 4 version.
Damn. That sounds really interesting. I'm gonna have to check that out. Thanks!
VERY good point, big difference between GX subbed and dubbed
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective ah, so that's where the Maskef Heroes came from
@@granmastersword Yeah buddy, I will say though I do love GX Series 3 overall because it was the darkest and most powerful arc alongside 4.
I AGREE SOOO MUCH ON THE JUDAI YUKI ONE
to think about it it's just depressing
Yeah definitely an upsetting journey!
What was really sad for me was yugi leaving Yami's body cause of the Orichalchoas (idk how to spell it) Yami shows so much emotion in that scene
That literally would be 11 for me, just missed this list
it was also an important scene because after that we see what Atem is like without being grounded by Yugi's conscience.
Acey *
I know right, I’m always on the verge of tears myself watching that especially since they’re my favorites, seeing Yugi get taken away and Atem getting so broken down is such a heartbreaking sight for me.😣😣😞😞💔💔💔
I thought that yuto first being absorbed into Yuma for the first time pretty sad because at the time, I thought he died and yuto is my favourite yugioh character, plus the music was sad sounding. It wasn't called yutos passionate soul for no reason...
*yuya
Yutos death almost made it for me! Saddest moment in arc v imo
Yeah Trons death made my initial list! Definitely a sad moment
I'm gonna have to say, as an additional choice:
-Nash/Shark's death in ZEXAL 143, since the music that played really set up the mood, as the fact that we really got to know Shark throughout the series, and see all the trouble he's been through. And when he finally admits to Yuma he's his best friend really struck me in the heart, followed by Yuma screaming his name. 😢

I think Atem's farewell from the original series is one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the franchise.
I didn't felt anything watching that
I definitely agree that Bruno's death was the saddest. One sad moment for me was the battle with Zarc, where Sora tries to get through to Yuya and fails. Poor guy trying to save his best friend. Other deaths like Aporia and Zone are tragic and really tearjerkers. Especially when you find out about what They suffered in the future.
When Alexis couldn’t confront her feelings to Jaden and she cried
Atem's departure to the Afterlife has got to be my number one choice. It was so bittersweet!
RealMelodyHope
I know right, as great as it was that he was back where he belongs, it’s so heartbreaking knowing our favorite DM character was leaving never to return so sad.😞😞😞😞
The fact that you think Yudai is not annoying makes you better than other yugi-fans...
Red Blue Green right
Jaden Yuki or Jedi Yuki but I see what you did there
I love the duel of Rio and Dumon and Carley vs Jack I LOVE IT
Hold the phone, Rio and Kaito both make the list but Shark doesn't? That one gets me every time, it is a heartbreaking conclusion after everything the pair had been through.
number 11, that everyone says Yugo's name wrong
Wow this is really an emotional list and I absolutely love your choices, especially number one. That scene still makes me bawl every time I watch it. Also I appreciated how much you respect and love Judai's character development b/c I thought I was alone on that
bruno death was sad.i remember watching this when it was new in japan and cried at the end when i saw his death
Yeah I shed a tear honestly, was a very sad moment
Heroduothecomedian i did too
I cried when Carly died at Yugioh 5DS and my parents was like its just anime and i cried even more
That ONE episode of 5ds that killed off Martha (Yusei's foster mother) AND RALLY
I cried for 30 minutes straight after that
1 - Atem using the Seal of Orichalcos and losing plus losing Yugi is the saddest moment in Yugioh (even if he was able to save him later on)
2 - Atem Leaving
AkatsukiLink
Exactly, I cannot agree with you more, I can hardly even handle watching both of those they’re so heart wrenching!😣😣😞😞
@@rebeccah.5695 I know. I've watched it a lot of time and everytime, it gets me.
Yeah definitely 3 really sad scenes!
Here's mine and I'm only doing 5:
Shark's death - I like Shark so much.
Tragic
Joey's death - I genuinely hate Joey, but WOW.
Damn, when Zayn (Kaiser) died i almost cried, he was my fave character in all of Yu Gi Oh series...
My top 10 Saddest moments:
10 - Amelda and Valon past (japanese only) Not popular characters but I didn't know their real stories, different in french version.
But I will never forget the church on fire or Amelda's brother death
9 - Aki past
8 - Zexal ending (I weep with joy when ALL DEAD CHARACTERS are back !!!!) Maybe it's ridiculous but I don't care.
7 - Shark death in his final duel
6 - Vector and Mizael deaths in ep 138
5 - Durbe death
4 - Mizael past (he was cute younger but I WISH KNOW MORE ABOUT HIS FAMILY !!!! With Lamenting Barian for OST, it's perfect to remember this scene ! And I cried Kaito death in the same episode)
3 - Yusei past (when he was a baby saved by his father before the destruction)
2 - 5D's ending (I weed with joy again for Yusei x Aki scene and say goodbye to everyone... Best end ever...)
1 - Alito death*
*I know it's crazy, I just discover him in ep 130 with his past (sad story too) and duel with Yuma, I fall in love him and 3 episodes later... I LOOSE HIM ALREADY !! (tissues 💦)
And no saddest moments in Arcv and for GX, I don't remember Haha. Rest In Peace.
Great list Kirboo!
Yugioh Everything Because Alito is number 1 or I mention Amelda and Valon even many people forget them ? 😜
Kirboo 97 Zexal had a good ending, ur getting it all wrong
#10 had me shook! Didn't see it coming straight out xD
My own top 10 just revolves around GX and DM
10. Scenes of Kaiba being abused as a child
9. Aster just straight up shedding tears when he realizes he's been exploited by the father figures he had, and when he finally said bye bye to his dad's soul trapped inside Bloo-D
8. Zane's death in Dark World
7. Aster's death in Dark World
6. Yugi sacrificing himself and paying for Atem's mistakes
5. Everybody in GX growing up and finding their own path
4. Jaden's character development
3. Kisara's death
2. Every single Seto and Mokuba struggling moment
1. Atem leaving forever
you missed one... When atemu lost against Rafael and Muto pushed him away from the seal of orichalcos...:(
Balázs Kurucz
I know right, that should have been added!
I wholeheartly agree with number 1, especially since Bruno basically was teaching Yusei the entire duel. Also the fact that he was truly dead afterwards was brutal. Carly and Kiryu's death was almost on the same level for me but the
whole dark singer arc was sad (Gregor losing his village, Mysty's revenge plot knowing she would never see her brother again, Carly and Kiryu's subplot and all the events that happened to the people of Satellite during this arc)
Suprisingly I forgot about how Judai/Jaden transformation over the seasons took place.
Joey's death was not really sad more of a OMG moment for me (but I guess the abridged series kinda ruined its impact for me)
When Rio died in Zexal, I felt nothing (actually I was not a fan of her or Kotori's characters).
They could have done something with Zarc but oh well
Zexal has so many sad moments.
10. Judai leaving Duel Academy (GX)
9. Tron's death (Zexal)
8. Kiryuu's death (5D's)
7. Carly's death (5D's)
6. Rio's death (Zexal)
5. Shark's death (Zexal)
4. Ryo Marifuji's death (GX)
3. Kaito's death (Zexal)
2. Bruno's death (5D's)
1. Atem's goodbye (Duel Monsters)
I have a short answer:
All of Zexal II. Who watched all of it will know what I mean.... :D
To leave it with an example: Rio's situation in II near the end and Shark's reaction to it (to name one?)
Damn you Don Thousand
But Dylan I do believe Atem will come back one day haha great list dylan
I hope he does! xD Thank you!
Yugioh Everything Nah fam, we need Kaiba back! Kaiba for VRAINS!
123myst
Tell me about it I can’t even bring myself to watch that horrible moment, I really hated Weevil after that and poor Atem never deserved any of that!
this video should be completely covered with zexal deaths. like, Yuma is the one who lost pretty much everyone during season 2
I agree with pretty much every single one you mentioned. The others that I can think of:
- Crow realizing that everyone, including the children died in 5ds.
As someone who only watched the original, gx, and like a third of season one from 5ds I'm fucking lost lol
HAHA I can only imagine how confusing this is then xD
SuperStuffliker Don't worry, I got lost after the first season of GX.
I'm trying to get caught up on all the new summoning techniques, cards, and shows.
lol.
Paige Arnol you got out after gx? Don't try and catch up with all the rules of the actual game 😂 try something simpler, like finding a cure for cancer
SuperStuffliker Yea I got bored after the first season. I'll have to re watch it sometime in the original Japanese.
I've seen 2 episodes of 5Ds, the only character I liked was the girl with the Rose Dragon card.
And for Zexal, I never got to see it, cause the channel it was on canceled their Saturday Morning
block.
5Ds is the favourite of a lot of yugioh fans... (and mine too).
Is dark and have a really awesome story... probably the best yugioh till now
I was expecting the scene where Yami has an emotional breakdown after Yugi was taken by the Seal of Orichalcos from Yugioh Duel Monsters to be on the list.
Jack also admitted he loved carly. You should of moved it up one
My top 5 would be:
1) Axel being destroyed by Trueman
2) Atem saying goodbye.
3) The 3 Emperor's of Iliaster (back story)
4) Ryoga learning about his barian past and accepting it. Also Vector's past.
5) The entire XYZ dimension with Yuto and Syun in Arc-V.
Thats true, to me it was such a dark, twisted moment that I guess I didn't have the emotional capability to feel sad xD
Great list!
I cried at:
Kite's *(Dub)* Death
Carly's *(Dub, obviously)* Death.
And when Carly's like: "The Netherworld is calling me. I'd better get going", she's... innocent, yet *SO* brave in my opinion, and I just... I find myself wanting to:
Take Vector from Zexal on, in a Seal of Orichalcos Shadow Duel, in the Holographic Colosseum where Yugi and Kaiba battled in Battle City Finals, equip Armed Samurai - Ben Kei, with Lightning Blade, Fusion Sword Murasame Blade, Divine Sword Phoenix Blade, and Mage Power, and slam him with 22,000 damage; 4,400 × 5 direct attacks, and just... *Incinerate* him - On Carly's behalf of course.
For me the saddest moment is when Yugi took Atems place after losing to Raphael during the Orichalchos arc. One of the only moments in yugioh that actually made me cry.
MrEffectfilms
I know right, I’m always on the verge of crying too when I see that I can hardly stand it!😣😣😞😞
Who can definitely relate to Judai?Being a happy, friendly and positive person but something happens in your life and you become a different person whether you become a depressing person or a negative person.
People: "aNiMe iS JuSt FoR kIdS!"
Me, an intellectual:
Another awesome list Dylan! I'm surprised though there wasn't anything from Arc-V considering how dark some of the stuff was. Also, with #1, especially since it's one of the few permanent deaths of the franchise. Anyways, how close were those moments were to making the Top 10?
- Tron's death (ZEXAL)
- Yuto's death (ARC-V)
- Shun's life after Academia destroyed his home (ARC-V)
- Aki's life (5Ds)
- Yugi sacrificing his soul to protect Atem (DM)
- Edo's dad's death (GX)
- Pegasus' wife's death (DM)
- Yusei's last time being able to speak to his father during Z-ONE duel (5Ds)
Also, do you think we'll see plenty of sad moments during VRAINS?
I hope VRains delivers with the sad moments.. So in order,
-20-29 range
- Top 15
- Didnt make preliminary for me
- Didnt make preliminary for me
-Top 15
- Didnt make preliminary for me
- Didnt make preliminary for me
- Didnt make preliminary for me
A lot of them I just didnt think of.. Jeez there certainly are ALOT of sad scenes lol
Kaito death got me really bad. Saddest moment in my opinion
Yeah the Kaito one was definitely tough to watch..
Number one for me is when Kaiba sacrificed Gadget Soldier to summon Blue Eyes during the semi finals.
Sadly I think Kisara’s death should be on this list. That was up there for me.
Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon
I know right, I really liked Kisara a lot!
Same. She literally died protecting the love of her life. It's basically watching a bright soul being snuffed out.
The ending of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters is for me the saddest moment, but your list is very good.
Zapistafy
I couldn’t agree more!
Mr.Yusei I don't feel so good
Excellent video as always!
When Rio died, it felt like a arrow hit me in the chest, I couldn't stop crying
now we need top 10 triumphant scenes in yugioh
because the summoning of life stream dragon which was hype as shit
Thanks for the suggestion!
kingkaiser95 Nasch defeating Vector with Number C73 oughta be in the top 3 of that list. The music was absolutely spot on at that moment, and the fact that C73 was summoned during the Battle Phase when Vector couldn't see it coming was just totally amazing.
Number 1? Yusei toppling Z-One with a Stardust Dragon that got as high as 23,000 ATK.
that number one or yugi taking out all 3 egyptian god cards
#8 is the reason why I fell in love with Yu-Gi-oh and why I'm here commenting on this video at this very moment. So glad you included it in your list 😊
The only time I cried with Yugioh was the ending of Noah' s Arc, before reaching the battle city finals.
I guess I am the only one who liked Noah and that filler arc.
my sadness moment when yuya send smile world in the graveyard
Fatima alzaabi ha ha.
Thank you for adding Joey's scene. You're sooo right. Joey's coma scene was the saddest ever.
Welcome! Was a great scene
Arc V ending because it was so horribly sad 😭
xD
Yugioh Everything FYI my personal favorite is Kaito's moon duel death. Beautiful :')
That was always my 2nd favorite, but after rewatching that and the one that is currently two I flipped it to 3rd.. Still, phenomenal scene
Yugioh Everything I knew Joey's death would be top 3 but I felt more anger than sadness with it. So gutted that he didn't get credit for the win because was the better duelist and didn't rely on a god to beat Ra. I would argue he's #5 on my top 5 in all of Yugioh!
hey i think you should turn off the auto-correct option on your phone, you somehow wrote sad instead of *bad xD
I love this list Dylan beautifully done. My own top 10 may as well just be a Yu-Gi-Oh! hit list.
10. Joey's death - Orichalcos Arc (Silly arc but the build up and execution of Joey losing his soul was just so well done).
9. Edo's "Death"
8. D̶i̶v̶i̶n̶e̶s̶ ̶D̶e̶a̶t̶h̶.̶.̶.̶l̶o̶l̶, Seriously though Kalin's death.
7. Crow Vs Jose, Last Turn
6. Atem's Farewell
5. Zane Truesdale's death
4. Z-One's death
3. III and V's death
2. Bruno's death
1. Kaito Tenjo's death
Great list Adam!
Thanks dude ^_^ Your's was awesome too man.
