I would love to show you but sadly we didn’t get any behind the scenes footage. We were already on a huge time crunch because my cousin could only lend us his house for a few hours. For my next horror project, I’ll definitely make that a priority though. Glad you liked it!

Since when does Michael Myers get from Cold Blooded Serial Killer to Vigilante
He’s still a cold blooded killer. He didn’t kill them solely because they were robbing the house. The situation was more cruel irony that they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time with this killer.

@@menziesproductions7758 nah i get it. it had its moments. but they hyped it up to be a final showdown between laurie and michael. and their entire fight is literally only the last ten minutes…
I can agree on that. The trailers and advertisements did really make it seem like the entire film was centered around Michael and Laurie’s relationship and the intense showdown that’s been brewing for 40 years. Just to have that be a subplot in the last act
@@menziesproductions7758 the idea of michael’s evil nature being transferred to corey is cool. but if you’re gonna have a plot device that interesting, don’t put it in this movie. why would you add a completely new main character who we’ve never even heard into the last movie of a trilogy? makes no sense. and why did laurie choose now of all times to settle down in a nice home and finally live a simpler, less psychotic lifestyle? to her knowledge, michael is still on the loose. her boogeyman is still at large, probably still in haddonfied. you’d think after her daughter being killed and her entire family being traumatized yet again by this maniac, she’d double down and hunker into an even better protected home. the motivation makes no sense. but as i was saying, corey’s sinister downfall is a cool idea. it just deserved to be in a different and better movie
@@mccody02 I guess I never really thought of Laurie’s motivation to move into a home that wasn’t essentially a fortress. You raise a good point. I guess after Karen being killed and the damage Michael had dealt to the community of Haddonfield, Laurie may have felt partially responsible and wanted to better her dangerous lifestyle. Almost like a reevaluation of her life and the dark place that constant preparation brought her to. Her decades of preparing for Michael’s return and the constant paranoia cost her a lot. I think she mentioned in the 2018 film she divorced. Not to mention her daughter wanted nothing to do with her after being raised into such a hellish childhood. After Kills, Laurie was finally ready to let that anxiety and paranoia go. She built a better foundation and relationship with Allison and Lindsay Wallis. Her home was no longer a fortress, and I think she actually began to genuinely recover and enjoy life. Maybe if it was better structured or better written, that motivation would make more sense to Laurie’s character.

Hey man, really glad to hear you liked it. I see most of your videos are around 20-30 minutes long. The best advice I can give you is trim that down a little bit. I’ve noticed that videos around 10-15 minutes typically perform pretty well. Another thing I’ll say is something you can’t really control. Sometimes the best thing to quickly grow your channel is to have that one video that blows up. I made a horror short film this last December called “Entity”. I thought it would get around maybe a thousand views, but somehow it ended getting almost 200K. After that video dropped, I started getting 80-100 subs a day. When you hit that sweet spot on the UA-cam algorithm, you’ll definitely see an improvement in your channel’s growth. And the more videos you post, the better odds you usually have for that one video to perform insanely well. It took me a very long time to post a video that got over even a thousand views, so just remember that these things take time. Another thing I’ll say is to make sure your thumbnail is good. Think about this way: If you saw whatever thumbnail you make on a random video, would you click on it? Make sure to engage with your comments and to have an overall likable personality. Maybe you could even review some lesser known horror films. There’s millions of reviews on UA-cam for the well known horror franchises: Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc. But if you can find a film that doesn’t already have that much of an established fanbase, you’re gonna stand out from the crowd, and hopefully pique people’s interest. And if there is a new horror release that you’d like to review, get that video out fast. You don’t wanna be stuck in the oversaturated crowd of thousands of reviews posted every day for a new release. Granted you wanna maintain effort and make a great video of course, but you may have to be speedy with it. It’s all a balancing act. And once you do gather a dedicated fanbase, things will be a lot easier and a lot of that stress will be taken off your shoulders. Another tip I can offer you is consistency. The phrase doesn’t lie, “consistency is key”. Maybe try to post every Friday. Don’t post two reviews in the same day, or even back to back days. You wanna spread those out so you don’t exhaust yourself. On top of that, people won’t usually subscribe to a channel that posts once every few months, and then takes a break for a year. I’m positive that if you remain relatively consistent with your uploads, and maybe make an uploading schedule, new subscribers of your channel will definitely appreciate it. That’s all I got for now, but if you have any more questions, I’d be happy to help. And yeah, I would love for you to review this fanfilm. I think that could be very cool.
