- The ‘78 Slasher: After being shot 6 times at gunpoint by his psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis, Michael Myers gets up and continues his night of terror. He stumbles across a babysitter doing her job which eventually leads to a Halloween house party. Are these party goers ready for the Boogeyman?
It is still surreal to have been a part of this incredible project! The love and passion for filmmaking and Halloween is absolutely apparent throughout this entire movie. It is mastfully crafted, and something horror and Halloween fans especially can't afford to miss out on!! 🎃🔪
I've gotta say, this is easily the best Halloween fan film. Period. I'd call it the 'Never Hike Alone' of the Halloween franchise, but making that comparison would be unfair, since NHA is just a really well put together film with no real plot or logic (and the sequels are so bad), but this is well scripted, well acted, genuinely creepy (the shots of Michael finally being free in the opening are chilling), and most importantly feels like Halloween.
I sincerely hope you all come back to this world somehow.
There are some nice shots in there. It's framed , lit, and color corrected very well!
Can you make a sequel with this
I love the fact that Michael actually looks like the older version of the original 6 year old version of Michael Myers and he did a awesome job playing him 🎃

Honestly not bad, had a few issues but it’s way better than most fan films. The added “Corey” costume was weird to see. The kills were pretty good overall. Most of the individual portraying Myers did well with a few hick ups like the kick 😂 but overall for a fan film I’d say it’s around 7.5/10

This is crazy, if my eyes don't deceive me, were the asylum/institution scenes shot in Wright State's tunnels? I graduated from there a few years ago, very cool to see someone making use of that space in creative ways!

It was an absolute honor to work on this film! We couldnt be happier with the work that we've done on this film and loved every moment on and off set. The Cast and Crew put so much time and energy into this project without hesitation and we are seeing the results here. We are ready for the next project!
There were certain things I was looking for to give me the feel of a Halloween movie and almost instantly, you brought it in spades. The cast and crew killed it!
One of the better Halloween fan makes on here and that's a real compliment considering there's well over a hundred.
This is actually sick. The first kill was amazing and where the hell do you get the mask from? Its better than the films exactly like 78. The lighting too is actually good, the movement and kills are bang on most people move too much when playing Michael but hes sick bro. And also the way he decorated the bodies around and stalked still after killing a few its perfect. Carry on man

I've watched this like 3 times, super rewatchable. Would love to burn this to blu-ray. Have you considered uploading to Vimeo? Their compression isn't as bad as UA-cam's is, and the playback bitrate is consistently higher I believe.

Honestly I don't really feel like fan films are worth criticizing! Because of the Budget people have to work with. However picking up after the events of John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween, giving me a back story to (Ben Tramer) only to find out he's a perv! Would make sense to why he gets killed by a car crash in Halloween 2, 1981, that position didn't sell it for me. However, however, The 78 slasher did entertain me! The most cardinal sin that a movie can commit is just to be boring! If people hate it! You did you're job! If people are entertained by it you did your job...
