honestly it looks really good but i feel like the foot comes up a bit too far and it feels like his dislocating his leg every step. that probably just me tho
How do you do this? Ive seen this in other SFM vids (like, Cen0's stuff), but I dont know how to stretch out the limbs, and when I look it up I dont find much information on it.
It's kinda shown off in the second half of the video, but the main way to get the stretchy effect is to not be afraid to distort the model in a whole bunch of wacky angles. but then there's the common use of making makeshift smear frames by also distorting the model. Sorry if what I said wasn't helpful.
@@Finest0animations Oh no I understand that part, Im just not sure how to distort the models Do I have to remove the rig first, stretch them, then re apply the rig?
@@bell404 No, you wouldn't need to recompile the model. All you would need to do is move the bones away from their base. For example you could move the hand bone away from the arm bone, closer to the camera for that perspective effect. I've noticed that you can only get a good effect without an IK rig . This is because IK's are tied to a bone (shoulder / hip). This can kinda be bypassed by moving these base bones along with the actual rigged part (hand / foot bones). Yet again sorry if this isn't that clear. Explaining things without a visual reference is kinda difficult
rate it on steam if you want:
