    What is Ashes of Creation?
Ashes of Creation is a unique take on the MMO experience. Our world structure is dynamic and built to react to the actions of our players. Cities will rise and fall, their populations based on the history of the world as the players create it. Quests will unlock as these populations gather, their needs grow, and secrets are unlocked. As the world’s NPC structure is established in real time, players will have the ability to destroy what they’ve created, paving the way for new development, new populations, and real change. Political strife and intrigue will play a very real role in the structure of your world. Gone are the days of static worlds, change is here to stay.
    Risk Vs Reward
All across Verra, you have the opportunity to experience massive warfare, participate in epic trade caravans, and gather valuable components to craft exquisite items. Not only will your fellow players be your adversaries; the creatures of the land and the very environment itself will pose a constant and fresh challenge. Will you siege castles to become royalty, defeat other guilds to showcase your prowess, shape the marketplace by being a successful trader, or earn renown by developing your artisan crafting skills? This is your story, you tell us!

I also love the idea of horizontal progression. Chasing a level cap has always felt like a system only implemented where developers are just trying sell expansion packs where now everyone is required to purchase it to stay relevant.
While there are ways around it where there are heroic modes to older dungeons that drop max level gear, it makes old content irrelevant and noone will bother doing the older stuff. New players just skip the old content and grind levels.

If corporate game studios say, they listen to gamer feedback, they mean: We look at our profit numbers and if they are good the game is good. If players complain or are dissatisfied they are wrong, because our current profits say so.

As far as cap limits on the number of ppl that can siege imagine this scenario.
Cap limit is 50 attackers and 50 defenders. But one guild has the top 50 players in it. That means they could wipe out any metropolis in the world when ever they want and nobody could ever reset that guilds node to experience another nodes progression in their zone of influence. Even if there are thousands of players the guild has grieved that would love to see them wiped out.
There has to be some consequence for being dbags. I dont like zerging either but not allowing it in seiges could also have negative results.

This means alliances would have very little impact since no one could supply meaningful assistance to allies during sieges.
I liked how Age of Conan seiges would allow you to sign up and help attack the biggest and baddest guilds keeps with your allies. It meant that those big guilds could still be held accountable if they were bad actors.

A solution could be some monetary investment where guild or individual players could fund the campaign. More players in a zerg cost more gold per player. Risk vs reward. Defending could be free but zerging as attackers would be required to fund their attack and all of the resources/gold required to attack go up in smoke if you win or loose.
If the defenders win they would still need to say repair the city after the attack.

I hate dailies. I would be OK with them, if they are just something to do, if you don't have any other ideas. Meaning they shouldn't be too rewarding and just a bit more effective than just loitering around. Rewarding weeklies are acceptable.

Im fine with dailies so long as we aren’t slaves to them. Dailies as an increased means of town progression is fine but not needed for say upkeep. Let me go play the rest of the game. I hate them when they are a boring mandatory time sinks the developers use to keep players busy because there is literally nothing else to do.
