  • Watch as I update the fuel pump on my LS-powered 1962 Cadillac. Here I show you what it takes to install a Holley In-Tank Retrofit Fuel Pump. The process is pretty easy and really only requires basic tools. Full write up of this is on Lateral-G.net!

    Thanks for posting this video, I have been running the in-line pump and having similar issues which I thought was the pump overheating. I have been wondering how to seal with the issue of the pump being for a 7 inch minimum tank. The sump pan looks like a great fix for this issue

      You are welcome! I've put a few thousand miles on the car since this pump in 100 degree Texas heat and had zero fuel pump issues. Happy as can be!

    Just a thought on where the return fuel line is to tank the weight of fuel against the pressure coming in rather have return from the top at the holley unit

      I never really thought about that but have never seen anybody have an issue from that. I mainly did it that way out of laziness since the hose had the right connection and length already haha.

    Sir can you make a video about your updated AC system. Can you also show how loud both of your restomod air units are when ran together.

      You'll have to remind me in a few weeks....out of town for work so I'm not home to do that. But there is a full article on the AC system here: lateral-g.net/ultimate-air-conditioning-test/

    How’s it doing with the return capped off I’m about to do the same I got the return one for later when I redo my whole system for turbos I wanted to run the rails as a return system to keep the fuel cooler but factory lq9 I don’t need the return

      @@NiSmO300ZX069 hey there - so I have a return still. Previous to this set up I had an in-line pump with the sump welded to the bottom of the tank. So my return goes there, to the bottom of the tank and not the top.

      @@redgoatgarage sweet thanks for getting back to me I know my system from factory is return-lessso was going to cap that and use the vent until I put new rails and make it a return style

    What brand or style is your gauge cluster? Or is not an aftermarket item?

      Hi! It's a complete Dakota Digital VHX system that's fitted inside the factory gauge housing.

    How’s it held up any problems or things you would have done differently. I’m ready to purchase one for my 72c10 running a blown smallblock with the sniper on top. I’m worried about a loud pump thanks

      So far so good! I haven't put a ton of miles on it, only a few thousand but it's been flawless and so quiet! I actually just installed another one of these on my T-Bucket LS build since I was so happy with it. I don't think you'll have any problems with it.

    How did you attach the hydramat to the fuel pump?

    • @redgoatgarage
      @redgoatgarage  2 роки тому

      It just pushes onto the pump like a stock pump sock does.
