  • DIY SUGAR WAX FOR BEGINNERS - super easy!
Hey guys! since you have all loved my DIY SUGAR SCRUB video, ive decided to also make a DIY sugar wax. All ingredients are listed in the video. It is super easy to follow but if you have any questions, pls don't hesitate to comment below, I reply back to everyone!
Make sure to have exact MEAUSURMENTS and keep stirring so that you don't burn the sugar. PLEASE NOTE THAT JUST BECAUSE THIS VIDEO IS AROUND 5 MINUTES DOESNT MEAN YOU COOK IT FOR ONLY 5 MINUTES. Your stove should be at medium (4-5 if you have numbers) heat and it should never bubble over! If it does then the stove is too high (this is what I meant). When stirring, keep looking at the colour and try to achieve a golden colour but not too dark..that should be about 20 minutes of cooking. Ive also shown you guys my water cooling technique, so if that worked id love to know!!
Thanks so much for watching and don't forget to subscribe, you'll love it over here xo.

For beginners who are afraid of undercooking/overcooking, don’t worry if u feel like u need to cook your wax more or less. In the vid, she cooked hers about 8 minutes. I cooked mine for about 26 minutes (i timed it from the moment i opened the stove) in the same 4-5 medium heat setting. Just look out for the color, make sure it’s light brown (honey color) to medium brown [ 2:28 ]. You never want to keep your wax in heat until it’s dark brown or you’ll overcook. Goodluck to those who’ll give it a try, wishing u fresh, smooth, baby like skin 🤞🏻✨🥰

@@taerisvc6797 overcooking, cook it less time and it will stay honey like.. if it hardens a little over time stick in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
If your sugar wax stays too hard after you take it off the stove, put a little bit of water in and put it back on the stove. If the sugar wax is still too runny when you take it off, put it back on the stove and wait just a little longer so it can thicken up a bit. 😊

As a chemist this recipe is extremely easy. People over cook it because they ramp up their temperature then turn it down instead of gradually increasing it to the correct boil. Patience is key and anyone who burns it is in too much of a rush. Made this multiple times. Haven’t ruined one batch. What I do is use baby powder/corn starch. Then put pretty warm (don’t burn yourself) on against growth. Let it cool so you can pull it in one go. This video is great because regardless what recipe you use this should be the color it is. Hard when cool and spreadable when warm (30 sec in microwave to reheat can even be alittle hot). I let mine cook before I used it didn’t use a water bath.

You should use corn starch instead of baby powder because of talc. I find that using water melts/dissolves the sugar. Just let cool for about 35-40 min. And then knead the wax.
